Abstract

The phenomenon of the emergence of PMA No. 38 Year 2017, makes a big challenge for the academic community of the Faculty of Shari'ah UIN Salatiga in order to realize the quality of alumni who not only master the science of Islamic Law, but also master general law. This study examines the impact of the implementation of PMA No. 38/2017 on the curriculum and teaching methods at the Faculty of Shari'ah UIN Salatiga, and how this harmonization affects the social and academic dynamics within the faculty. Using a sociological approach, this study assesses how the curriculum changes affect the relationship between lecturers, students and educational institutions, and the implications for the quality and relevance of legal education in Indonesia. The findings show that despite significant efforts to harmonize the two disciplines, fundamental differences in methodologies and perspectives remain a major obstacle. The research also reveals the social impact of this integration on students, lecturers, and the academic community as a whole, and offers recommendations to improve the effectiveness and acceptability of scholarly harmonization in the future. The efforts made by the Faculty of Shari'ah in harmonizing science are to conduct a curriculum review by involving alumni and stakeholders. The impact of the change in degree after the issuance of PMA No. 38 of 2017 is the acceptance of alumni of the Islamic Family Law Study Program at the Faculty of Sharia UIN Salatiga with the initials FS in the M.Kn Master of Notarial Program at Sebelas Maret University Surakarta, this is proof that sharia graduates are eligible to become notary. This is because a number of degrees in the field of sharia studies related to law (such as Islamic Family Law (Ahwal Syakhshiyya), Sharia Economic Law and Constitutional Law (Siyasah Shar'iyyah) have now been uniformed with a law degree. This is as illustrated in the attachment of PMA 33/2016 and its amendments.

Abstract

This study discusses and analyzes a hadith from Sahih Muslim, numbered 1159, in his authentic collection. This hadith addresses the Prophet's prohibition directed toward a companion who continuously engaged in worship to the extent of neglecting his family’s rights and the rights of others. The aim of this research is to establish the hadith's level of authenticity ("Sahih")and to explore its meanings. Although this hadith is categorized under fasting, related hadiths are not limited to fasting; they also cover topics such as night prayers, marriage, the prohibition of castration for men, the fasting of Prophet Dawud, and other acts of worship. The analysis of this hadith involves several stages: conducting comprehensive Takhrij Hadith (verification of sources), Jarh wa Ta'dil (critique and assessment of narrators), I'tibar Sanad (evaluation of the chain of transmission), and Naqd Al-Matan (textual criticism). Through these stages, the authenticity and classification of the hadith can be determined. The understanding of the hadith is further examined using hadith commentaries (syarh) and contemporary scholars’ methodologies, which serve as resources in this research. Data collection is conducted using the Library Research method, compiling classical texts, journals, and scholarly books as references for this study. The research concludes that the hadith narrated by Muslim, number 1159, regarding the prohibition of excessive worship, reaches the classification of "Sahih Lidzatihi" (authentic in itself). The understanding derived from this hadith is that the prohibition against excessive worship is not absolute; as long as it does not exceed the limits of Shari’a and does not neglect the rights of others, the acts of worship performed are considered good deeds that are highly encouraged by Islamic teachings.

Abstract

The goals of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) are in principle in line with the character values developed by the government, one of which is the value of independence. Therefore, PAI has a role as a means for the realization of these character values. Regarding the increase in the number of unemployed based on education levels that are not in accordance with ideal conditions, it is a phenomenon that is quite concerning. Based on data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), shows that until February 2024, the unemployment rate at the vocational and high school levels is still the largest contributor to unemployment compared to graduates from other education levels. Therefore, the attitude of student independence needs to be maximized. Just as the Prophet (saw) became an entrepreneur for ± 25 years and became an exemplary example for his people to form an attitude of independence from a young age. This research generally aims to describe efforts to foster independence attitudes through Islamic entrepreneurship at Al-Aziz Islamic Boarding School High School. This research is important to be carried out as a reference for efforts to reduce the unemployment rate and improve the quality of students so that they become useful human beings and have a strong survival of life. This research uses a qualitative approach and a case study method with data collection techniques, namely observation, interview, and documentation. The results of the study show that the Islamic entrepreneurship program at Al-Aziz IBS High School has succeeded in shaping students' attitudes of independence in accordance with six indicators of independence in a person.

Abstract

This study examines the motivation of Islamic Religious Education (PAI)teachers in organizing congregational Dhuha prayers in schools in Bandung City and its impact on student development. Using a qualitative approach, this study involved in-depth interviews with PAI teachers and students, as well as direct observation of Dhuha prayer activities. The results of the study show that the motivation of PAI teachers comes from intrinsic factors, such as a sense of responsibility as a religious educator and a desire to instill spiritual values, as well as extrinsic factors, including school policy support and parental appreciation. The implementation of congregational Dhuha prayers has proven to have a positive impact on improving student discipline, especially in time management, strengthening worship habits, and increasing Qur'an literacy. This activity also plays a role in shaping the religious character of students and creating a school environment that is conducive to the development of religious values. Although limited to the context of the city of Bandung, this study provides important insights into the integration of religious practices in formal education. It is recommended for further research to expand geographical coverage, use mixed methods, and conduct longitudinal studies to understand the long-term impact of the Dhuha prayer program on the academic and spiritual development of students.

Abstract

This study analyzes the effectiveness of the PAKEM method (Active, Creative, Effective, and Enjoyable Learning) in improving students' learning motivation in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning among high school students in Bandung. The method used in this study is quantitative with a cross-sectional survey design and data collection techniques using a Likert scale questionnaire instrument totaling 21 items. Each question item has been tested for validity and reliability and has a size greater than the r table value (0.325) with a significance level of 5%. Learning motivation is examined through four aspects: relationship, satisfaction, attention, and self-confidence developed based on Keller's theory. The findings of the study showed high overall motivation aspects, with a total score of 78.24%. Relationship is the aspect with the highest score, indicating students' perceptions of the practical value of PAI in their lives, followed by satisfaction, reflecting the success of the method in creating a positive and satisfying learning experience. The level of attention is maintained through interactive and varied learning activities, while self-confidence, although rated the lowest, is still high, indicating further opportunities to foster self-confidence among students. This study concludes that the engaging PAKEM approach effectively increases motivation and supports cognitive engagement in religious studies, recommending continued implementation with a focus on enhancing student confidence through additional structured speaking and presentation practice.

Abstract

This study examines the criticism delivered by Daud Rasyid against a number of Hadiths that are considered to contain misogynistic views, with the main focus on his response to the feminist interpretations put forward by Riffat Hassan and Wardah Hafiz. The main objective of this study is to refute feminist views that often degrade the dignity of women, especially related to the narrative that mentions the creation of women from the ribs of men and the comparison of women with animals in the context of prayer. This study uses a qualitative method with a descriptive case study approach, in which Daud Rasyid's work, Sunnah Under Threat, is analyzed in depth along with relevant secondary data. The results of the study show that Daud Rasyid argues that the Hadiths that have been considered as evidence of women's inferiority actually describe a complementary relationship between men and women, not a relationship that places women in a lower position. In addition, Daud Rasyid also provides a contextual interpretation related to the disruption of prayer by women, donkeys, and dogs, which is interpreted as reducing the quality of prayer, not canceling it. This study also emphasizes the importance of contextual understanding in interpreting Hadith, as well as the need to respect traditional methodology in Hadith studies. Overall, the results of this study indicate that with a deeper and contextual understanding, Hadith can be interpreted more fairly and wisely, giving women a more equal position in the religious perspective.
