Abstract

In order to achieve this goal the authors use a quantitative method. The population of this study was the eleventh grade students of SMA Kristen Rantepao. The total number of eleventh graders is 5 classes. In finding a sample, the writers use cluster sampling, where the writer only take some individuals who are part of the population. The writer chose class XI.1 as a sample consisting of 20 students as respondents. In collecting data, the writer uses written test. The results of the analysis show that the ability of eleventh graders at SMA Kristen Rantepao in identifying regular and irregular verbs in the text is classified as low, where students get an average score of 21.75%. The classification of students’ scores that have been presented shows that there are no students who get very good scores, there are 9(45%) students get good scores, there are 2 (10%) students get good scores, there are 5(25%) students get a poor scores and there are 4 (20%) students get a very poor score. Based on the results above, the writer concludes that the ability of eighth graders (VIII) SMA Kristen Rantepao in identifying regular and irregular verbs in the text is still poor, it can be seen from the average score of 21.25%.

Abstract

This study aims at improving the activity and performance of students of class XI IPA 5 SMA Negeri 2 Buru Education Year 2016/2017 on the basic material of reaction rate. This study is a Class Action Research (PTK) consisting of two cycles, each cycle consists of four stages namely planning, implementation, observation and reflection.The subjects of the study are students of Class XI IPA 5 SMA Negeri 2 Buru Students of the 2016/2017 academic year. The data source is teachers and students. Data collected from interviews, observations, lifts, and tests. Data analyzed with qualitative descriptive analysis techniques. The research results showed that the learning model Make a Match can improve the learning activity of students of class XI IPA 5 SMA Negeri 2 Buru Skills Year 2016/2017 on reaction rate material (78.33% in cycle I) and student chemistry learning achievement of class XI IPA 5 SMA Negeri 2 Skills year 2016/2017 about reaction speed material (cognitive aspects 43.3% in Cycle I and 86.67% in Cycles II; student affective aspects 81.67% on Cycle 1; student psychomotor aspects 100% on Cycles I.

Abstract

Online learning has its own challenges, especially for elementary school-age children. In online mathematics learning activities the teacher must present materials in the right pattern so that learning from home can run effectively and optimally. One of the creativity that can be done by the teacher is to modify the Student Worksheet (LKPD) which was previously manual to be online called a liveworksheet. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of live worksheets to improve students' mathematical competence during the pandemic at Al Jannah Elementary School. This type of research is quasi-experimental. Number of experimental classes (only one) and using comparison techniques before and after being given treatment. The population in this study were all students of SD Islam, Nature and Science Al Jannah and the sample involved was 22 students. The data collection instrument used was multiple choice questions in the form of an electronic test. To analyze the data using the normality test (Kolmogorov Smirnov), homogeneity test and paired sample t-test. Based on the results of data analysis, it can be seen that the sig 2. Tailed value is 0.022. The conclusion that can be drawn based on the results of this test is that there is a significant difference between before and after using the live worksheet.

Abstract

Salah satu upaya untuk meningkatkan mutu pendidikan di sekolah ialah dengan cara memperhatikan kualitas proses belajar mengajar. Berbagai konsep dan wawasan baru tentang proses belajar mengajar disekolah telah mengalami perkembangan seiring dengan pesatnya ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi. Pendidikan karakter adalah gerakan nasional mewujudkan sekolah yang membina generasi muda yang beretika, bertanggung jawab dan peduli dengan keteladanan dan pengajaran karakter yang baik melalui penekanan pada nilai-nilai universal yang kita semua miliki. Pendidikan karakter tidak hanya diajarkan di sekolah, tetapi juga perlu diajarkan lebih lanjut di rumah dan di lingkungan sosial. Karakter yang baik tidak terbentuk secara otomatis; itu dikembangkan dari waktu ke waktu melalui sebuah proses pengajaran, pembelajaran dan praktik yang berkelanjutan. Pembelajaran tentang karakter, sangat penting dalam masyarakat saat ini karena generasi muda kita menghadapi banyak peluang dan bahaya yang tidak diketahui oleh generasi sebelumnya. Akses yang lebih luas ke berbagai dunia akan membuat siswa menghadapi berbagai kompetisi dengan rekan-rekannya di berbagai dunia. Sebagai sumber daya manusia yang baik, bukan hanya kecerdasan otak yang diutamakan, tetapi juga membutuhkan karakter individu yang baik. Untuk itu diperlukan pendidikan karakter yang baik bagi siswa dalam kehidupannya. Makalah ini menggunakan metodologi kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif melalui kajian literatur.

Abstract

The implementation of online learning was implemented suddenly due to the Covid-19 pandemic that hit in 2019, online learning policies are a temporary solution to stop the spread of Covid-19. However, this policy has had a big impact on the world of education, various problems arise from the factor of implementing the policy. This study aims to examine the obstacles to the implementation of online learning experienced by FKIP students, Unkhair. The method used in this study is a descriptive quantitative approach. Data collection through surveys. The instrument used is an electronic questionnaire via google form. The questionnaire used is a closed questionnaire and an open questionnaire. The correspondents of this study were FKIP Unkhair students as many as 150 correspondents who were representatives of 7 study programs. Based on the results of the research analysis, it can be concluded that there are 4 points of obstacles faced by FKIP students during online learning, namely limited internet quota, inadequate internet network, low understanding of IT and limited infrastructure. However, these obstacles can be anticipated through serious online learning designs by considering the convenience of learning, the readiness factors of lecturers and students and the availability of supporting facilities. In conclusion, there are 4 obstacles to implementing online learning policies. To overcome them, the involvement of all parties is required to design high-quality online learning.

Abstract

This article presents the results of a research that describes the use of video media in learning the values of hikayat texts to class X students at SMK Negeri 7 Semarang. The purpose of this study is to describe the use of video media, find out the learning steps, and assess the learning outcomes of students in learning the values of hikayat texts. This research uses a mixed approach that involves quantitative and qualitative data collection. Data collection was conducted using test and non-test techniques (observation and documentation). Data analysis techniques used triangulation techniques by testing the validity of the data collected by researchers to obtain data and enrich the insights of research informants. Overall, students succeeded in achieving the Criteria for Achieving Learning Objectives (KKTP) with a range of scores between 78-100% and the average percentage value was 86%. The results showed that the use of video media in learning to analyze the values of hikayat texts at SMK Negeri 7 Semarang had a positive impact and was successfully applied to the learning of saga texts to class X students at SMK N 7 Semarang.

Abstract

This research was conducted with the aim of finding out how DRTA is used and to describe the results in reading comprehension skills in class V students of Negeri 2 Ternate City. The research design is qualitative research that uses a descriptive approach. The instruments used are test questions, teacher and student observation sheets, and interview sheets. The data analysis technique used is the Miles and Huberman model analysis technique. The use of the DRTA learning model based on big book media is carried out as follows: (1) students predict the title as a guide in predicting the content of the reading text. (2) students predict the content of the reading based on the pictures they have seen. (3) researchers distribute big book media and students read the text in the first paragraph. (4) students assess and check the accuracy of predictions (5) the teacher repeats procedures 1 to 4 for each paragraph. (6) students make a summary, students write whatever information they understand in the reading text on the big book media. The results of using the DRTA learning model assisted by big book media are that in the indicator (1) determine the main idea there are 25% of students who answer with the right answer, in the indicator (2) answer questions according to the content of the text' there are 50% of students who answer with the right answer, in the indicator (3) rewriting the contents of the reading text there were 13% of students who answered with the right answer, and the indicator (4) making a summary there were 12% of students who could answer the question with the right answer. The conclusion is that based on the reading comprehension test results, class VB students at State Elementary School 2 Ternate City obtained an average score of 70.47 in the sufficient category.

Abstract

This study aims to determine students' speaking obstacles and how they overcome them in the fourth semester of the English language study program. One lecturer and twenty students were taken as research subjects in the fourth semester. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method for collecting and analyzing data. This research is conducted by providing observations and interviews as an instrument. The results of the study show that several obstacles faced by students are divided into two factors, namely internal factors and external factors. In terms of internal factors, there are seven obstacles faced by students in learning to speak such as lack of vocabulary, poor grammar, speaking anxiety, fear of making mistakes, low participation, low self-confidence, and mother tongue use. External factors are divided into two categories: environment and lecturer's personality. Students enhance their speaking skills through various methods, including joining an English club or course, forming groups for practice or discussion, learning on social media, listening to English songs and podcasts, and watching movies.

Abstract

Science learning in elementary schools is given to students to practice science process skills. Through science learning, students can produce a conceptual understanding of material through scientific work. This research aims to determine students' science process skills and cognitive learning outcomes through the Discovery Learning learning model in elementary schools. This research method is experimental research with a Posttest-Only Control Design. The results showed that the cognitive learning outcomes and skills of experimental class students were higher than those of control class students. Based on the results of the first hypothesis test, it was found that Fcount= 131.266 while Ftable= 3.44. This means FcountFtable and sig. = 0.05 so H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. So it can be concluded that there are differences in cognitive learning outcomes between students who take part in learning using the discovery learning model and students who take part in conventional learning. The results of the second hypothesis test showed that the value of Fcount = 128.380 while Ftable = 3.44. This means FcountFtable and sig. = 0.05 so H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. So it can be concluded that there are differences in science process skills between students who take part in learning using the discovery learning model and students who take part in conventional learning.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to produce a product in the form of a teaching module by utilizing a problem-based learning model, namely problem-based learning by focusing on feasible opportunity material by considering 3 aspects, namely valid, practical, and effective. This development research model uses the 4D model, which includes 4 stages namely define, design, develop, and disseminate. This research was conducted in the even semester of the 2023/2024 academic year at SMA Assa'adah Bungah. The results of the research that has been carried out, prove that the teaching module produced is declared valid by getting a score of 3.3, which puts it in the valid category. The teacher response questionnaire scored 3.1, which placed it in the practical category, and the learner response questionnaire scored 3.7, which placed it in the very practical category. In addition, three observers found that the analysis of the learning implementation sheet was effective with an average score of 94% for the fully implemented category and through the summative test results obtained an average score of 90 for the very effective category. Since all three aspects of the teaching module assessment have been met, the teaching module is suitable for use.
