Abstract

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, education in Indonesia needs to make adjustments so that the implementation of education can continue. One of the policies carried out by the government under the auspices of the Ministry of Education and Culture was to implement the Emergency Curriculum (simplified Curriculum-2013). Over time, the government prepared a new curriculum prototype which has now been formalized as the Independent Curriculum. The implementation of the Independent Curriculum (IKM) begins in stages in schools called “Sekolah Penggerak”. This research was conducted to find out how the planning and design stages of IKM were carried out by a Sekolah Penggerak in one of the schools in West Sumatra. Data obtained from observations and interviews conducted with informants who know and are involved in IKM. Based on the results of the research that has been done, it was found that the initial step taken by the school as a driving school was to form a Curriculum Development Team (TPK) which would later coordinate with the provincial TPK. Some of the activities that have been carried out by TPK schools were observed. The preparations that have been made to become a driving school are (1) conducting training for teachers, (2) forming a learning committee, (3) compiling the Curriculum of Education Unit Operational (KOSP), (4) preparing curriculum tools such as KSOP, Outcomes Learning (CP), Learning Objective Flow (ATP), teaching modules, and strategies for implementing project-based learning or projects to strengthen the profile of Pancasila students. Apart from that, the things that schools have prepared in facing an independent curriculum are (1) studying and understanding the regulations regarding an independent curriculum, (2) coordinating with all teacher boards, and 3) adopting a level of complexity curriculum.

Abstract

Multiple intelligence theory can be used as a basis for assessing children's intelligence potential, the results or multiple intelligence profiles will be very useful for guidance and education. The challenges of era 4.0 and the characteristics of today's generation of learners encourage teachers to be able to innovate and develop the learning process continuously. One of the innovations that can be carried out is the implementation of multiple intelligence-based learning. For this reason, it is necessary to know the multiple intelligences that can be accommodated in learning biology on cell material. This research is a descriptive narrative research. The sample taken was total sampling using subjects as many as 7 grade 8 students and 1 science teacher. The research was conducted at Equal Bright School Bandung because this school is based on multiple intelligence in its learning. Data collection techniques were conducted by direct observation techniques to see the implementation of biology learning, interview sheets to describe learning from teachers and students, documentation in the form of photos and videos and multiple intelligence inventory questionnaire adapted from McKenzie (1999). The data collected from the analysis of lesson plans, interviews and multiple intelligence questionnaires were analyzed using descriptive methods, the calculations carried out in the form of categorization.  The results of the research show that the teachers' learning of the biology of the cells can facilitate several multiple intelligences, kinesthetic, naturalistic, interpersonal, visual-spatial, verbal and intrapersonal. The creation of a biology learning plan based on multiple intelligence and learning in the classroom is based on the dominant intelligence of the student.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the profile of academic resilience of Biology Education University of Riau students during the COVID-19 pandemic. To answer these objectives, this study used a descriptive research design with a quantitative approach and (online) survey method. The sample for this research is all active students who took online lectures during the COVID-19 pandemic as many as 76 students. Data was obtained by distributing a modified Academic Resilience Scale (ARS-30) questionnaire randomly (online) to all active batches taking online lectures during the COVID-19 pandemic in the form of an electronic questionnaire (google form). Data analysis by calculating the average (mean) academic resilience of Biology Education University of Riau students in terms of three dimensions of academic resilience, namely the dimensions of persistence, reflection and seeking adaptive assistance, as well as negative impacts and emotional responses. Based on the findings of the researchers, it can be concluded that the academic resilience of Biology Education University of Riau students during the COVID-19 pandemic is relatively high in terms of the dimensions of persistence, reflection and seeking adaptive help, as well as adverse impacts and emotional responses. Further research should look at the academic resilience profile after the COVID-19 pandemic and compare it with the academic resilience profile of biology education students at other universities.

Abstract

Media pembelajaran dapat membantu kegiatan belajar mengajar menjadi lebih efisien. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan permainan kartu UNO sebagai media pembelajaran sistem pencernaan (UNO SISCER). UNO SISCER dikembangkan menggunakan model pengembangan ADDIE. Subjek penelitian ini adalah tiga orang validator dan beberapa siswa yang sudah mempelajari sistem pencernaan. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data adalah lembar wawancara, lembar validasi, dan angket respon siswa. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif. Desain UNO SISCER berjumlah 108 kartu, yang terdiri dari 29 kartu materi, 21 kartu master, 21 kartu pertanyaan, 21 kartu jawaban, dan 16 kartu simbol. Setiap kartu UNO memiliki UNO memiliki 4 warna yang berbeda sesuai dengan sub topik sistem pencernaan. Desain UNO SISCER dinilai sangat layak oleh ahli, dengan skor 98%, 89%, dan 75%. Respon siswa sangat dengan persentase rata-rata mencapai 92.21%. Oleh karena itu, UNO SISCER sangat cocok untuk diujicobakan dalam skala besar untuk digunakan seebagai media pembelajaran pada materi sistem pencernaan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh dari penerapan metode role playing terhadap hasil belajar dan motivasi siswa pada materi ekosistem. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuasi eksperimen dengan populasi seluruh siswa kelas X IPA MAN Tanjungpinang. Sampel dalam penelitian ini diambil secara total sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu tes dan angket. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu lembar tes (post-test) untuk mengukur hasil belajar siswa dan lembar angket untuk mengukur motivasi siswa setelah dilakukan pembelajaran menggunakan metode role playing. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu analisis hasil tes, analisis data angket motivasi, analisis data observasi keterlaksanaan, uji prasyarat, dan uji hipotesis. Berdasarkan uji hipotesis yang diperoleh menunjukkan hasil uji T dan uji F, yaitu: 1). terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan pada penerapan metode role playing terhadap hasil belajar siswa: 2). terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan pada penerapan metode role playing terhadap motivasi siswa: 3). terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan pada penerapan metode role playing terhadap hasil belajar dan motivasi siswa. Metode role playing ini dapat direkomendasikan sebagai metode pembelajaran alternatif untuk menunjang proses pembelajaran yang dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar dan motivasi siswa di dalam kelas pada pembelajaran Biologi.

Abstract

Ketersediaan buku ajar merupakan salah satu faktor pendukung keberhasilan pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujujan untuk mendeksripsikan kebutuhan mahasiswa Program Studi Tadris Biologi IAIN Kerinci terhadap buku ajar etnobotani. Metode peneltian menggunakan deskriptif eksploratif dengan subjek penelitian yaitu mahasiswa semester enam program studi tadris Biologi IAIN Kerinci sebanyak 30 orang. Mahasiswa yang menjadi subjek penelitian adalah mahasiswa yang telah atau sedang menempuh mata kuliah etnobotani. Sampel penelitian diambil secara acak. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kuesioner dan angket mahasiswa. Adapun teknik analisis data yaitu secara deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya kebutuhan terhadap pengembangan buku ajar etnobotani berbasis sains keislaman.

Abstract

ABSTRACT. The purpose of this study is to create a scientific literacy-based student worksheet (LKS) on the topic of fungus for grade X high school students. Thiagarajan et al.'s R&D design technique was modified to create the LKS since it only addresses the define, design, and develop phases. A student response questionnaire and product feasibility test instruments from media and subject matter experts were the tools employed in this study. Based on evaluations by media professionals and subject matter experts, the LKS's feasibility received scores of 86.3% and 95.3%, respectively, exceeding the requirements for being extremely practical. A score of 87.7% on the student response test indicated good feasibility. Expert feasibility tests and student answers support the conclusion that the science literacy-based learning kit (LKS) for grade X high school students focusing on fungus is a highly appropriate teaching resource for biology. ABSTRAK. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan lembar kerja siswa (LKS) berbasis literasi sains pada konsep fungi untuk siswa kelas X SMA. LKS dikembangkan dengan metode R&D desain Thiagarajan et al. dengan modifikasi karena pada penelitian ini hanya meliputi tahap define, design, dan develop. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah instrument uji kelayakan produk oleh ahli materi dan ahli media serta angket respon siswa. Berdasarkan penilaian ahli materi, kelayakan LKS memperoleh nilai 95,3% dan penilaian ahli media memperoleh nilai 86,3% dengan kriteria sangat layak. Hasil uji respon siswa memperoleh nilai 87,7% dengan kriteria sangat layak. Berdasarkan uji kelayakan ahli dan respon siswa dapat disimpulkan bahwa LKS berbasis literasi sains pada konsep fungi untuk siswa kelas X SMA sangat layak digunakan sebagai bahan ajar siswa kelas X SMA pada mata pelajaran biologi.

Abstract

This study aimed to delineate the learning style profile of class XI IPA 2 students during biology lessons at Madrasah Aliyah Raudlatus Syabab Sukowono. The research was conducted at Madrasah Aliyah Raudlatus Syabab, located at Jl. KH. Ahmad Syukri No. 02, Sumber Wringin, Kec. Sukowono, Kab. Jember, East Java. This study employs a quantitative descriptive approach. This research techniques involve collecting, recording, presenting, and verifying data. The participants in this study consisted of students from class XI IPA 2 and teachers specializing in Biology. The purposive sampling approach is used for selecting subjects or data sources. The data collection methods employed in this research comprise interviews, questionnaires, observation, and documentation. The research findings indicate that the predominant learning style among students studying biology at Madrasah Aliyah Raudlatus Syabab Sukowono Jember is visual, with 7 individuals (50%) exhibiting this style. This is followed by kinesthetic, with 4 individuals (29%), and auditory, with 3 individuals (21%). Teachers should possess the ability to establish a varied educational setting and integrate learning techniques that encompass the utilization of visuals and graphics, verbal explanations and discussions, as well as experiments and physical activities in order to cater to the diverse learning styles of students.

Abstract

Berbagai permasalahan pembelajaran dialami selama pandemi COVID-19, salah satunya dalam memfasilitasi siswa dengan media pembelajaran yang sesuai agar siswa dapat mencapai keberhasilan belajar. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengembangkan media pembelajaran podcast pada materi keanekaragaman hayati yang valid, praktis, dan efektif. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian R&D dengan tahap penelitian merujuk pada model 4D. penelitian dilakukan di MAN Bintan pada September 2021. Pengumpulan data dilakukan menggunakan lembar penilaian validator untuk uji validitas dan praktikalitas serta menggunakan tes menggunakan soal objektif untuk uji efektivitas. Data penelitian dianalisis menggunakan skala likert untuk uji validitas dan praktikalitas serta N-Gain untuk uji efektivitas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Media Podcast yang dinamakan Kerati Podcast teruji valid, praktis, dan efektif sebagai media pembelajaran Keanekara­­gaman hayati.
