Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui berat potong dan berat offal external itik bali jantan umur 2 - 8 minggu yang diberi ransum non konvensional yang mengandung biosuplemen isi rumen sapi bali. Penelitian ini di laksanakan selama 13 minggu. Itik yang digunakan adalah itik bali jantan sebanyak 75 ekor umur 2 minggu dengan bobot badan awal 152,00 - 152,87 gram.  Rancangan yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) yang terdiri dari 5 perlakuan dan 3 ulangan. Kelima perlakuan tersebut adalah RSP0 (Ransum basal tanpa biosuplemen), RSP20 (95% ransum basal + 5% biosuplemen yang mengandung isi rumen sapi bali 20%), RSP40 (95% ransum basal + 5% biosuplemen yang mengandung isi rumen sapi bali 40%), RSP60 (95% ransum basal + 5% biosuplemen yang mengandung isi rumen sapi bali 60%) dan RSP80 (95% ransum basal + 5% biosuplemen yang mengandung isi rumen sapi bali 80%). Variabel yang diamati dalam penelitian ini yaitu berat potong, kepala, leher, kaki, darah dan bulu. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan sidik ragam, apabila terdapat hasil berbeda nyata (P <0,05), maka analisis dilanjutkan dengan menggunakan Uji Jarak Berganda dari Duncan (Steel dan Torrie, 1993). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pemberian ransum non konvensional  yang ditambahkan biosuplemen isi rumen sapi bali memberi pengaruh berbeda tidak nyata        (P >0,05) terhadap berat potong dan offal external (kepala, leher, kaki, darah dan bulu)               itik bali jantanumur 8 minggu.Berdasarkan Hasil penelitian ini maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan biosuplemen yang mengandung isi rumen sapi bali level 20% - 80% dalam ransum pada semua perlakuan tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap berat potong dan offal external (kepala, leher, kaki, darah dan bulu) pada itik jantan umur 8 minggu.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh komposisi hijauan dengan level konsentrat yang berbeda dalam ransum terhadap komposisi tubuh dan retensi nutrien kambing PE. Lokasi penelitian dilaksanakan di Teaching Farm Fakultas Peternakan, Universitas Udayana Kampus Bukit, Jimbaran. Penelitian dilakukan selama 3 bulan dengan menggunakan rancangan acak kelompok (RAK) yang terdiri dari 3 perlakuan ransum dengan 3 kelompok berat badan ternak kambing sebagai ulangan. Peubah yang diamati adalah komposisi tubuh yakni kadar air tubuh, lemak tubuh, protein tubuh, dan retensi nutrien yakni retensi lemak, retensi protein, dan retensi energi. Komposisi tubuh ditentukan dengan cara sebaran ruang urea (Rule et al., 1986). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kadar komposisi tubuh kambing PE yang diberi 15% rumput gajah + 20% jerami padi + 25% gamal + 10% kaliandra + 30% konsentrat menunjukkan kadar air dan protein tubuh paling tinggi akan tetapi kadar lemak tubuhnya paling rendah, namun secara statistik berbeda tidak nyata (P>0,05). Pada hasil kadar retensi nutrien menunjukkan pemberian ransum 15% rumput gajah + 20% jerami padi + 25% gamal + 10% kaliandra + 30% konsentrat menunjukkan hasil retensi lemak, retensi protein, dan retensi energi paling tinggi, namun secara statistik berbeda tidak nyata (P>0,05). Dari hasil penelitian yang dilakukan dapat disimpulkan bahwa pemberian komposisi hijauan yang beragam dengan level konsentrat yang berbeda pada ransum tidak berpengaruh terhadap komposisi tubuh dan retensi nutrient kambing PE.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the growth and yield of Indigofera zollingeriana forage given the different types of slurry and soil water content. This study was conducted at Greenhouse of Tropical Forage Sciences Laboratory, Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Udayana University for 10 weeks. The experiment design used completely randomize design (CRD) factorial pattern with two factors. The first factor was the type of slurry, cattle slurry (S), pig slurry (B), and cattle bio-slurry (BS), the second factor was soil water content 100% FC (K1), 85% FC (K2), 70% FC (K3), and 55% FC (K4), hence there were 12 treatment combinations. The combination treatments were repeated three times, so there were 36 pots experiment. Variables observed were growth, yield, and growth characteristic. The result showed cattle slurry significantly affect the number of leaves, cattle bio-slurry significantly affect on the total dry weight ratio of forage with root dry weight. Treatment 100% of soil water content was significantly effect on plant height. Treatment 55% of soil water content was significantly effect on the total dry weight ratio of forage with root dry weight. Based on the result of the researchs it can be concluded that cattle bio-slurry tends to provide the distribution of photosynthesis result in proportion to the large leaves and stems rather than to the roots compared to pig slurry and cattle slurry. This study confirmed that Indigofera zollingeriana is a drought resistant species, and there was no interaction between the types of slurry with soil water content in the observed variables (growth, yield, and characteristic). Abstract

Penelitian yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian suplemen yang diproduksi melalui proses fermentasi dengan menggunakan inokulan cacing tanah dengan tingkat yang berbeda terhadap penampilan itik bali telah dilaksanakan di farm Fakultas Peternakan Universitas Udayana, Bukit Jimbaran, selama 2 bulan. Penelitian dilaksanakan menggunakan  Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 6 perlakuan dan 4 ulangan, dimana tiap ulangan menggunakan 4 ekor itik bali umur 2 minggu. Perlakuan yang diberikan yaitu: Pemberian ransum berbasis limbah pertanian tanpa suplemen (R0), pemberian ransum berbasis limbah pertanian disuplementasi SB0 (RBS0), pemberian ransum berbasis limbah pertanian disuplementasi SBC1 (RBS1), pemberian ransum berbasis limbah pertanian disuplementasi SBC2 (RBS2), pemberian ransum berbasis limbah pertanian disuplementasi SBC3 (RBS3), pemberian ransum berbasis limbah pertanian disuplementasi SBC4 (RBS4). Variabel yang diamati pada penelitian ini adalah pertambahan bobot badan harian, konsumsi bahan kering, konsumsi bahan organik, konsumsi serat kasar, konsumsi protein kasar dan feed conversion ratio. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian suplemen yang diproduksi dari inokulan cacing tanah berpengaruh nyata (P<0,05) terhadap pertambahan bobot badan harian, konsumsi bahan kering, konsumsibahan organik, konsumsi protein kasar dan feed conversion ratio, namun tidak berpengaruh nyata (P>0,05) terhadap konsumsi serat kasar. Hasil penelitan dapat disimpulkan bahwa pemanfaatan ransum basal dengan suplementasi suplemen yang diproduksi menggunakan inokulan cacing tanah  dengan penambahan 0,4% merupkan ransum yang terbaik.

Abstract

Pig waste that is not handled properly can be one of the triggers of environmental pollution. Behavior of pig breeders to date has not efficiently processed the waste product. The condition occurs because of lack of care for breeders on how to properly handle the waste. This study aimed to find out the behavior of breeder concerning pig waste treatment at Puhu Village, Payangan District, Gianyar Regency. The location was chosen Purposive with the reason that Puhu Village is a tourist village whose waste processing is not good yet. Respondents were determined by Quota Purposive Sampling, the number of respondents as many as 35 of pig breeders, five respondents for each dusun with the total number seven dusun at Puhu Village. Primary data were obtained from direct interviews and observations and secondary data were obtained from data recording in the Puhu Village Office. This study conducted from May till July 2018 at Puhu Village, Payangan District, Gianyar Regency. Data analysis in used by means of qualitative descriptive and Spearman level correlation coefficient test. The results showed that the behavior of breeder concerning pig waste treatmens is in medium category. The factors related to the behavior of breeder in pig waste treatmens such as age and number of livestock ownership have a non-significant corelation (P> 0,01). While education, building ownership, percepion, and motivation has avery significant corelation (P< 0,01)) with behavior of breeder in pig waste treatment. Sugestions that can be conveyed to the government is more active in providing counseling and training to breeders on the processing of pig waste. Breeders in order to increase their perception and motivation in processing pig waste through counseling assistance to minimize environmental pollution. Abstract

This study aims to 1). To find out the motivation of simantri member farmers in processing cow manure into compost, 2). To find out the factors that influence the motivation of farmers Simantri members in making compost from cow manure. 3). To find out the purpose of making compost in agricultural business carried out by farmers of Simantri members in Gianyar Regency. This research was conducted in Kelusa Village, Payangan Subdistrict and Keliki Village, Tegallalang District, Gianyar Regency, from December to February 2019. This research was selected using the Purposive Sampling method. Respondents were 41 census farmers in the census group. The analysis used was qualitative descriptive analysis and Spearman's level correlation test. The results of this study indicate that the motivation of farmers in simantri Bhuana Kerti and Dwi Merta Sari members is included in the strong category. Factors such as age, formal education, non-formal education, number of livestock raised, waste treatment goals, knowledge of waste management, have a significant relationship (p<0.05) while the experience of raising cattle and the number of dependents have a relationship that is (p> 0.05) with motivation level. Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that, 1). motivation of simantri member farmers in processing cow manure into compost including strong categories, 2). Factors related to motivation are age, formal education, non-formal education, number of livestock kept, waste treatment goals, processing knowledge waste, experience of raising cattle and number of family dependents, 3). Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kualitas kimia fisik bakso ayam yang dimarinasi dengan asap cair dalam waktu berbeda. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Laboratorium Teknologi dan Mikrobiologi Hasil Ternak Fakultas Peternakan Universitas Udayana selama dua bulan, dari tanggal 30 Januari sampai 31 Maret 2014. Asap cair yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah asap cair dengan konsentrasi 3%. Bakso yang digunakan berasal dari perusahan bakso yang sering dikonsumsi masyarakat Bali. Rancangan penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan empat perlakuan yang meliputi P15 (waktu marinasi 15 menit), P20 (waktu marinasi 20 menit), P25 (waktu marinasi 25 menit) dan P30 (waktu marinasi 30 menit). Variabel yang diamati dalam penelitian ini meliputi kadar air, aktifitas air (?w), kadar fenol, kadar asam dan nilai TBA. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan asap cair dengan waktu marinasi yang berbeda memberikan pengaruh nyata (P<0,05) terhadap kadar fenol dan nilai TBA. Namun, belum berpengaruh nyata (P>0,05) terhadap kadar air, aktifitas air (?w) dan kadar asam. Berdasarkan penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan asap cair dengan waktu marinasi yang berbeda berpengaruh pada waktu optimal 20 menit. Waktu marinasi 20 menit memberikan hasil terbaik dengan hasil analisa kadar air 69,64%, aktivitas air 0,67%, kadar fenol 0,14%, kadar asam 0,32% dan nilai TBA 0,04%. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut pengunaan asap cair pada waktu marinasi 20 menit berperan dalam daya simpan, memberikan cita rasa, aroma serta berfungsi sebagai antimikroba, antioksidan dan efektif menekan kerusakan asam lemak tak jenuh ditinjau dari segi kualitas kimia fisik produk.

Abstract

This study aim to determine the effect of different energy and protein balance of ration to the post weaning bali pigs body dimensions. The conducted at Taman Wedasari, Banjar Batu Paras, Padangsambian Kaja Village, West Denpasar for 12 weeks. Completely randomized design (CRD) was used with four treatmens, and three replications. Those treatments were (A): ME/CP 175 (2800 kkal/16%), (B): ME/CP 164 (2950 kkal/ 18%), (C): ME/CP 155 ( 3100 kkal/20%), (D) : ME/CP 148 (3250 kkal/22%) respectively for level of energy and protein balance of ration fed animal. Variables of body dimensions observed were body lenght, chest abdominal circumference, shoulder, hip and back heght. The result showedthat all of the body dimensions observed were noy significantly difference, as the food comsumption was similar. Thence, their growth as showed by final weight wese also similar (P>0,05). It can be concluded that different balance of energy and protein given not resulted in different body dimensions of the post weaning Bali pigs Keywords: Bali Pig, Body Dimension, Energy and Protein Balance.

Abstract

Penelitian yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui pertumbuhan dan produksi Indigofera  zollingeriana pada dosis pupuk fosfat 50, 100, 150 dan 200 kg/ha, dilakukan di Stasiun Penelitian Fakultas Peternakan  Universitas Udayana, Jalan Raya Sesetan Gang Markisa Denpasar, selama 15 minggu. Rancangan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) yang terdiri dari 5 perlakuan dosis pupuk fosfat dengan 5 kali ulangan sehingga terdapat 25 unit percobaan. Kelima perlakuan tersebut adalah  P0 (0 kg/ha), P1 (50 kg/ha), P2 (100 kg/ha), P3 (150 kg/ha) dan P4 (200 kg/ha). Variabel yang diamati antara lain variabel pertumbuhan, variabel produksi dan variabel karakteristik tumbuh. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian pupuk fosfat SP-36 tidak berpengaruh terhadap pertumbuhan tanaman Indigofera zollingeriana, tetapi berpengaruh terhadap produksi berat kering akar dan nisbah berat kering total hijauan dengan berat kering akar tanaman. Pupuk fosfat dengan dosis 50 kg/ha menghasilkan produksi berat kering akar paling tinggi.

Abstract

Broiler farms in East Sumba Regency are spread throughout the region with small-scale businesses, namely 100-12,000 head/farmer. However, business conditions are not sufficient to achieve an optimum success of the farm business. However, conditions are not perfect to achieve optimal job success. The purpose of this study was to: 1) farmer behavior about the management of broiler business; 2) the nature of the correlation with breeders in the race chicken breeding business; 3) correlation between motivation and behavior; and 4) correlation between breeders' behavior and business performance of broiler chickens. The amount of income is 70 farmers. The research sample was taken using the "Quota Purposive Sampling" method, which was 41 farmers. The type of data used is primary data and secondary data. Primary data obtained from direct interviews and secondary data data obtained from literature studies. Analysis which is a descriptive analysis and Spearman level analysis. The results of the study showed that, the behavior of farmers about management of broiler farm business was in the good category with an average percentage of achieving score is 69,83%, knowledge have low category (50,97%), attitude categorized as very positive (94,63%) and moderate categorical skill (63,90%). Education level, number of personality and personality that has a positive correlation with farmer behavior (P<0,10) and farmers' motivation is included in the strong category (68,24%). In addition, motivation has a real positive correlation (P<0,05) with farmer behavior. Farmer behavior has a very real positive correlation with farmer achievement (P<0,01).
