Abstract

This article aims to 1) Produce products in the form of e-modules for Early Class Indonesian courses using the Kvisoft Flipbook Maker Application; 2) To find out the feasibility of developing an e-module based on the Kvisoft Flipbook Maker Application in the Early class Indonesian language course; 3) To find out students' responses to the development of e-modules based on the Kvisoft Flipbook Maker application in the Early Grade Indonesian course. The type of research conducted is research and development (R&D). The development model used in this study is a 4-D development model (four D Model), namely define activities, design activities, development activities and are validated by experts and see the practicality of e-module products. 1) The results of material expert validation obtained an average of 86% in the very feasible category. Second, media experts get an average of 93% in the very decent category. Third, linguists get an average of 87% with a very decent category. Then, in individual trials, students responded to this e-module in the very good category with an average percentage of 93%. In the small group trial, the students' responses were in the very good category with an average percentage of 92.25%. Meanwhile, in the limited field group trial, the criteria of "good" were obtained with an average score percentage of 87,08%. Based on this percentage, it can be concluded that this e-module is suitable to be used as teaching material for Indonesian language courses in the Early Class of HKBP Nommensen, Pematangsiantar University. Abstract

This study aims to identify the needs for developing an online comprehensive test application at one of the Islamic universities in Indonesia. The needs assessment includes target situation analysis, user needs analysis, reality analysis, and gap analysis. This is a descriptive quantitative research involving 135 examiners and students who are taking comprehensive examinations from all four faculties at IAIN Bone as samples. Sampling technique used a stratified random sampling. Questionnaires and interview techniques were utilized for data collection, followed by a descriptive analysis. The findings reveal several weaknesses in the comprehensive test system. These include the lack of integration among all faculties, partial implementation, a highly flexible exam schedule, a paper-based test administration method, a lack of standardized instrument development, and suboptimal utilization of comprehensive test results for mapping student competencies. To conclude, it is necessary to develop an online comprehensive test application which is expected to be able to make the implementation of the comprehensive test at IAIN Bone more integrated, programmed, and effective. Abstract

This research aims to explore the efforts of internalizing the values of wasathiyyah in the endeavor to enhance religiosity and tolerance attitudes based on mentoring. Since the Indonesian government introduced the concept of religious moderation as a preventive measure to counteract radicalism in society, the majority of State Universities have sought to implement this policy through various programs on their campuses. In Indonesia, the official stance is against radical ideologies, given the potential divisive consequences and the emergence of terrorist actions. In 2016, the Setara Institute surveyed 171 schools in Jakarta and Bandung and observed that seeds of terrorist ideologies had emerged within classrooms. At the Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia, supported by the Rector, the Tutorial program was established with the aim of enhancing the individual piety of students. Using a qualitative approach, data collection combined ethnographic methods and interviews with 17 students. Data analysis followed the Miles and Huberman framework, including drawing, displaying data, reduction, and conclusion. The research findings indicate significant results, wherein the mentoring-based tutorial program with the internalization of wasathiyyah values enhances the religiosity and tolerance of students through the selection of qualified mentors, a wasathiyyah curriculum, inclusive communities, and ongoing evaluation. Collaboration with relevant parties is deemed necessary.  Keywords:  Wasathiyyah Values, Mentoring, Tolerance

Abstract

This study explored how Islamic education proved its existence in the era of the Industrial Revolution 4.0 and how Islamic education adapts by using digital technology in the teaching and learning process. This study adopts a qualitative approach by using a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) as a study method. The SLR approach was chosen because it has several advantages, one of which is the existence of systematic and standardized procedures. In this study, 120 articles were found to be filtered using the PRISMA Model and analyzed more deeply about the existence of Islamic education in the era of the Industrial Revolution 4.0 and adapted by using digital technology in the teaching and learning process. This study shows that the existence of Islamic education is very worthy of appreciation; it is not only interpreted as a transfer of knowledge and transfer of values but also gives birth to human-centred and technology-based creativity and innovation. The existence of Islamic education can also answer society’s need to live a more meaningful life by utilizing technological tools to improve the quality of education, science, technology, and imtaq, as well as the quality of moral and intellectual human resources. Islamic education aligns with the use of digital technology in the learning process by helping students and teachers, as well as the learning process itself, personalized learning or self-study, freedom to choose all learning approaches, project-based learning, and applicable field practice.

Abstract

Efforts to improve student achievement can be started by procuring various factors influencing it. One crucial factor is to present a variety of teacher-teaching methods. Teachers very much need these factors and are more creative in carrying out more interesting learning so that students like the teacher and the content taught. Applying a Jigsaw approach or cooperative learning for students so that they have significant responsibility in learning can inspire students to speak in front of the class. This study aims to determine students' understanding of social studies through learning with the Jigsaw method of choice in class X SMK Negeri 3 Manado. With a qualitative design and a descriptive approach strategy, this study is expected to understand the level of mastery of social studies content using the Jigsaw method and approach. Data collection techniques are data analysis from a series of teacher interviews and direct observations in the classroom. A single case study because it only chose one location. The case study is anchored because it has focused on the problem under study before researching the field. The procedure for implementing qualitative research is flexible according to the field's needs, situations, and conditions. In general, the results of qualitative research show that it is closely related to achieving effective and efficient learning objectives. The relationship between the material and the tasks carried out by students needs to be clarified so that each group and its members need clarification about the discussion material and its objectives. In this connection, it is unwise for teachers to criticize students' opinions, especially their criticisms, constantly. Keywords:  Jigsaw Approach, Social Sciences, Learning Model

Abstract

Problems of creative writing are found in the mastery of themes, diction, and imagination. The Project-based Learning model is proposed as an effective model to improve mastery of themes, diction, and imagination. This study aims to determine the effect of the PjBL model on the mastery of themes, diction, and imagination in fourth grade elementary school students. The research sample consisted of 150 randomly selected. The research location is in Surakarta City. This type of research is quasi-experimental with Posttest Only Control Group Design. Data was collected using a creative writing skills test including indicators of theme, diction, and imagination. Analysis of research data using the multivariate Analysis of Variance (MANOVA) test. Prerequisite tests are carried out by normality and homogeneity tests using the variant matrix test (Box's M). The hypothesis test applies the MANOVA test and is continued with the Post Hoc test. The results of the study concluded that: the PjBL model has a significant effect on creative writing skills in mastering aspects of themes, diction, and imagination both simultaneously and partially. This research recommends teachers apply the PjBL model in increasing student creativity, especially in producing products in the form of creative writing.
