Abstract

This community service proposed assistance from competent instructors to educate participants to get to know computer hardware and software, ranging from variations, and models, to supporting components based on the research approach method in the electrical engineering field. The training participants were ECE (Early Childhood Education) teachers of Insan Mulia PAUD School. This CS (Community Service) program aimed to educate the ECE  teachers of the school to keep up with the advancement of computer technology. Thus, the contribution of this activity was to improve the quality of skilled labor and align with industry needs. Therefore, a Computer Hardware and Software Education activity was held at the Teacher's Office of Insan Mulia Early Childhood Education School in Tangerang. The Research and Community Service of Universitas Mercu Buana participated in this activity by carrying out the ICT (Information and Communication Technology) theme in the RMP (Research Master Plan), the long-term target is the development of wireless sensors and actuators, to the integration of system implementation. In conclusion, this activity produced new skills for Insan Mulia ECE School teachers in the knowledge of computer hardware and software as well as the installation of required computer devices that have operated very well.

Abstract

In this training, participants were given an understanding of the IoT (Internet of Things) for the Industrial Revolution 4.0 and were accompanied by instructors to get to know the technology. The approach method is based on research results that have been published in electrical engineering. We CO (Collaborated Overseas) with UTHM (Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia) in the CS (Community Service) programme, with the aim of providing guest lectures on the advancement of IoT technology and IR (Industry Revolution) 4.0. Thus, the contribution to this CS activity is to support the improvement of the quality of skilled labor from partner participants to be in line with industry needs. Therefore, the leadership of the institution approved and held the IoT for 4.0 IR training. Universitas Mercu Buana through the Institute for Research and Community Service participated in the field of ICT (Information and Communication Technology) with the long-term target of developing wireless sensors and actuators, and computing methods in embedded systems and the cloud. The conclusion of this CS activity is that participants were very enthusiastic about this activity and and gained the benefits of science, as well as an understanding of telecommunications.

Abstract

The rapid development of the Industrial Revolution (IR) 4.0 and the transition towards Society 5.0 demand an increase in digital literacy and a basic understanding of technology systems starting from secondary education. The Community Service (CS) Program conducted by the Department of Electrical Engineering Universitas Presiden aims to introduce the concepts of logic gates and digital systems to students of SMA 1 Cikarang Pusat. This CS integrates theoretical explanations and simulation practice using the online platform Circuitverse. This CS was evaluated using a Likert scale (1–4) questionnaire instrument, namely Expectation (Importance) and Performance, with a total of 40 student respondents. The analysis results show that all indicators received an average performance score above 3.30, with satisfaction indices ranging from 82.50% to 90.62%, which falls into the very high category. The indicator for the use of appropriate technology received the highest score of 90.62%, indicating the relevance of the material to current technological developments. The Importance–Performance Analysis (IPA) shows that most indicators are in the 'maintain performance' quadrant, indicating alignment between participants' expectations and the activity's performance. These findings suggest that the workshop is effective in enhancing students' understanding of basic digital system concepts while also fostering interest in engineering and technology fields. The activity underscores the strategic role of universities in bridging the technology literacy gap at the secondary education level in response to the challenges of the IR4.0 and Society 5.0.

Abstract

This Community Service (CS) initiative was executed collaboratively by faculty members from five universities—Universitas Pamulang, Universitas Presiden, Universitas Trisakti, Universitas Pembangunan Jaya, and Universitas Borobudur—in Kasomalang Kulon Tourism Village, Subang Regency, West Java, on April 17, 2026. This initiative aimed to instruct village leaders, as prospective catalysts for change in waste management and renewable energy, on the technique for converting plastic trash into pyrolysis-derived alternative fuel and the Triboelectric Nanogenerator (TENG) energy harvesting technology. This activity addresses the critical issues of plastic waste pollution and the exhaustion of fossil fuel reserves. Annually, almost 8 million tonnes of plastic waste infiltrate the oceans, yet merely 9% of all plastic ever manufactured is effectively recycled. The collaborative effort encompassed Electrical Engineering, Computer Systems, Petroleum Engineering, Information Systems, Product Design, and Agrotechnology. The instructional techniques employed comprised lectures and conversations. The activity's results indicated that participants acquired a thorough comprehension of pyrolysis mechanisms, the principles of TENG energy conversion, and its possible applications at the village level. Despite the absence of direct implementation, the cadres shown significant motivation to facilitate technology adoption inside their communities. This PKM model demonstrates that interdisciplinary collaboration across universities is effective in providing innovative technological education to rural populations.

Abstract

Penerapan sistem jaringan fiber optic di antaranya adalah jaringan FTTB (Fiber To The building). ACSATA.
