Abstract

Background: Religious awareness is a key factor in shaping students’ religious behavior, especially during the formative years of primary school amid growing moral and spiritual challenges. Objective: This study aims to determine the effect of religious awareness as a moderator in shaping the religious behavior of primary school students. Method: A correlation study was conducted at SMA Adiguna Bandar Lampung during the 2023/2024 academic year. The research involved 80 randomly selected students. Data were collected using religious awareness and religious behavior scales. Instrument validity was tested using the product-moment formula, while reliability was assessed with Cronbach’s alpha. Data analysis employed the product-moment formula. Result: The findings indicate a positive relationship between religious awareness and religious behavior, demonstrating that religious awareness significantly influences students' religious life. Conclusion: Religious awareness plays a critical role in moderating and shaping students' religious behavior. It suggests that fostering higher levels of religious awareness can positively influence students’ religious actions and attitudes, potentially leading to a more spiritually engaged and conscientious student body. Contribution: This study provides novel insights and scientific information regarding the mediating role of religious awareness in fostering students' religious behavior.

Abstract

This study aimed to investigate decreasing student academic stress in distance learning during the COVID-19 pandemic, transition period, and new normal era by giving a self-help module to students. This research employed an experimental approach with a group pre-test post-test design with quantitative analytics. The perceived academic stress scale (PASS) and module evaluation scale were utilized to assess students' academic stress levels and their understanding of the module. The subjects consisted of one male student and thirty-seven female students, as the school was dominated by female students. This study indicated that students' academic stress levels during the pandemic and the new normal were in the medium range (18.82 - 19.97). The results showed that there was no significant difference in academic stress between the pandemic and the transition period (t = 1.322, p 0.05) and the data between the pandemic and the new normal (t = -1.426, p 0.05), while between the transition period and the new normal, it showed a significant difference (t = -4.189, p 0.05). The study recommends that schools develop future guidance and counseling programs to help students cope with stress and build resilience. This study's findings can inform policy decisions and academic interventions to support students' mental health and academic success during challenging times.

This is because Indonesia is a country with a high level of natural disasters because it is at the confluence of various earth plates. Meanwhile school is the second place for students to seek and gain knowledge after being at home, especially in studying potential disasters that can occur in the environment where they live. It should be noted that in 2006 an earthquake with a magnitude of 5.9 occurred in Bantul Regency which resulted in fatalities and heavy losses, including educational facilities. The purpose of this study is to find out how the role of BPBD Bantul Regency in disaster management in schools so far and to know and see how the Disaster Safe Education Unit program in Bantul Regency is running. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The results obtained are that the BPBD within the scope of the school plays a role in educating children to have a more disaster preparedness attitude, helping facilitate school needs, and introducing disaster education from an early age. Moral intelligence is the ability to differentiate between right and wrong, create exact choices, and behave ethically according to applicable norms and rules. This development is purposed to produce a moral intelligence inventory. This method applies Borg and Gall development model. The population of this research is students of junior high schools in Malang. Indeed, the sampling is decided through cluster random sampling, wherein 300 students were selected as the research sample. The data are analyzed using Product Moment Pearson analysis, Alpha Cronbach, normality test, and factor analysis. This development draws on a moral intelligence inventory product for junior high school students in Malang, which consists of 45 statement items. These met the criteria of moral intelligence inventory, validity test, and reliability test on a high scale with a 0.907 coefficient. Future research is suggested to improve moral intelligence inventory for elementary, senior high school, and vocational school students. They considered that these levels' development, age maturity, and learning process differ from junior high school. Additionally, the following researchers are expected to employ other theories that discuss moral intelligence to assist students in finding out their moral intelligence level. Abstract

This research examines the influence of peer groups in determining student career life. By using a quantitative approach, we aim to investigate the role of peer groups in Generation Z’s career exploration to respond to work transitions. The subjects of this study were 72 vocational high school students. Data collection was carried out using the Peer Group and Career Exploration scales which were developed by adapting the Likert scale. Our analysis results suggested that peer groups carry 57 percent effects on the participants’ career exploration of students. In addition, the results of the Pearson correlation test also showed a 0.755 correlation coefficient between the peer group and career exploration, indicating a strong correlation between the peer group and career exploration. Therefore, the higher peer group support increases the students’ career exploration abilities and vice versa. The influence of the peer group on career exploration ability is classified into a strong category.
