Abstract

The government initiated an impactful campus program, namely the role of campuses that not only produce graduates but also transform people's lives. One of them is through campus social responsibility based on Islamic values. This study aims to explore the contribution of universities in developing networks and digitizing BUMDes Lumintu in Blora Regency and at the same time carry out the role of preaching in society through Islamic values. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method with data collection techniques through observation and in-depth interviews with BUMDes managers, lecturers, students, and other stakeholders. Data were analyzed systematically to understand the role of campuses in village empowerment. The results of the study show that universities play an important role in strengthening networks through collaboration with the government and community. Despite challenges in infrastructure and community involvement, the synergy between academics, government, and the community in different ways, namely through taujih, irsyad and himayah has proven effective in supporting BUMDes development. The University Social Responsibility (USR) approach provides a relevant model for village empowerment, emphasizing the importance of active participation from all parties. Sustainable and collaborative programs are expected to be a catalyst for more independent and sustainable village development.

Abstract

The implementation of the murur scheme in Muzdalifah emerged as a strategic response of the Indonesian Ministry of Religious Affairs to the extreme crowding observed during the 2023 Hajj season. The scheme allows eligible pilgrims to pass through Muzdalifah without staying overnight after completing wukuf in Arafah, proceeding directly to Mina. Priority is given to elderly pilgrims, individuals with high medical risk, persons with disabilities, those with obesity, wheelchair users, and officially assigned companions. This study aims to examine the operational management of the murur scheme, analyze its policy implementation using the Van Meter and Van Horn framework, and evaluate the effectiveness of its execution. A qualitative research design was employed, utilizing observation, interviews, and document analysis. The findings indicate that the operational management of the murur scheme was sufficiently effective during its inaugural implementation. The Decree of the Director General of Hajj and Umrah Affairs No. 137/2025 further outlines detailed procedures for the 2025 Hajj cycle, covering the Arafah, Muzdalifah, and Mina phases. The study contributes to strengthening operational efficiency, enhancing pilgrim safety, and supporting continuous policy refinement within large-scale Hajj management systems.  Keywords: Murur Scheme; Operational Management; Hajj Performance; Policy Implementation; Van Meter–Van Horn Model

Abstract

Preservation of isolates is carried out as an effort to collect and conserve microbial germplasm and to ensure its availability for future research and applications. The purpose of this research to evaluated the effectivity of temperature (5ºC and -4ºC) during 84 days to prevent viability of staphylococcus aureus, which can be used as a model inactivation kinetic and recommendation determine in the microbiology laboratorium. The research was conducted at the Microbiology Laboratory of the Agricultural Department, Banyuwangi State Polytechnic, from June to September 2025. The temperature are 5°C and –4°C, and the period are 0, 14, 28, 42, 56, 70 and 84 days. All test isolates were suspended in Tryptone Soy Broth (TSB) and supplemented with 15 % glycerol. Analysis of variance revealed a highly significant interaction (P 0.001) between temperature and storage period on Staphylococcus aureus viability. At 5 °C, colony bacteria decrease from days 14 until days 80 is 0.95 log CFU/mL. At –4 °C the population of colony bacteria dropped by approximately 1.7 log CFU/mL. The study concludes that, Short-term preservation can be achieved at 5 °C, with sub-culturing recommended at weeks 4–6, Medium-term preservation at –4 °C allows sub-culturing after month 6, Long-term preservation at –4 °C is feasible, with sub-culturing possible after month 12.

Abstract

This study aims to assess the impact of the Asset-Based Community-Driven Development (ABCD) approach on the development of Village-Owned Enterprises/Badan Usaha Milik Desa (BUMDes) in Lumintu Village, Mojorembun Village, Blora District. The scope of the research includes aspects of organisational management, product digitalization, network development, and public relations. The method used was descriptive qualitative. Data collection techniques used interviews, observation, and documentation. The assistance was conducted through product digitalization training, company profile video creation, and social media optimisation, which proved to expand the market reach and improve the operational effectiveness of BUMDes. The results show that digital transformation and strengthening the organisational structure can improve business competitiveness and strengthen strategic networks with the government and neighbouring companies. These findings provide important empirical evidence on the effectiveness of an asset-based approach in empowering rural communities economically. This study also confirms the urgency of digitalization for microenterprise development in rural areas. Recommendations for future research include a quantitative impact analysis of digitization with a broader scope and an exploration of more effective networking strategies. These will support the development of a sustainable rural empowerment model.

Abstract

This study aims to examine how the meaning of jihad is recontextualized in NU Online discourse using the Corpus-Assisted Discourse Studies (CADS) approach and Teun A. van Dijk’s Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA) model. This study uses a mixed method that integrates corpus-based quantitative analysis and CDA-based qualitative analysis. Data were obtained from 95 NU Online articles containing the keyword “jihad,” totaling 51,523 tokens, collected via Octoparse crawling and analyzed with AntConc. Collocation and concordance analysis were used to identify patterns of semantic association. In contrast, CDA was used to interpret the discourse construction of jihad at the text, social cognition, and social context levels. The results show that jihad in NU Online is situated within a positive, constructive discourse. The twelve words with the highest frequency of collocation with jihad are Resolution, NU, Meaning, Fatwa, Sabilillah, Physical, Economic, Hawa, Physical, Spiritual, Ashghar, and Akbarul. Eight words are categorized as positive, two words are neutral, and one word has a negative lexical connotation but is limited discursively. Jihad is predominantly framed as a historical response to colonialism, a normative decision by scholars, a social struggle, economic empowerment, and a moral and spiritual struggle. Physical jihad is positioned as a contextual historical phenomenon that is irrelevant in the contemporary peaceful situation. These findings confirm NU Online’s role as an important discursive actor in shaping public understanding of jihad as a moderate religious movement.
