Abstract

The Industrial Revolution Era 4.0 had a major impact on the life of a country. All nations are required to face this era with all the possibilities that exist. Indonesia wants to be able to compete globally, especially in the economic field. Millennial generation is considered capable of making this country more prosperous and advanced with all its characteristics, including santri. Millennial santri actually can also take part in economic growth in the Industrial Revolution 4.0 era, which is increasingly heavy competition. Through the power of MSMEs, santri and pesantren must have enormous potential in the government's big agenda, namely Indonesia 4.0. The potential for developing MSMEs can be felt more quickly if their development is supported by quality human resources and the provision of supporting facilities. Marketing training, working together with e-commerce platforms, internet procurement and supporting electronic devices, as well as network expansion to private companies and SOEs are steps that can be taken to encourage the growth of pesantren MSMEs. Through MSMEs, santri and pesantren are able to improve the country's economy but still uphold Islamic principles.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of a social entrepreneur in community empowerment from the perspective of maqasid al-shari’ah, using a case study of Haji Her (H. Hoirul Umam), CEO of Bawang Mas Group in Pamekasan Regency. Haji Her is recognized as a social change agent who consistently advocates for the welfare of tobacco farmers in Madura through a social entrepreneurship model. This research employs a qualitative approach using data collection techniques such as in-depth interviews, documentation, literature review, and online sources. The findings reveal that Haji Her’s social entrepreneurship is reflected in various aspects of the Business Model Canvas, including a social value proposition through purchasing farmers’ tobacco at high prices, providing education and training to farmers, and establishing the Paguyuban Pelopor Petani dan Pedagang Tembakau Se-Madura (P4TM). His business activities are not solely profit-oriented but are also focused on social sustainability and empowerment grounded in Islamic values. From the perspective of maqasid al-shari’ah, Haji Her’s contributions align with the five core objectives: preservation of religion, life, intellect, wealth, and progeny. These contributions are manifested through CSR programs, the development of social infrastructure, involvement of religious scholars in decision-making, and character education rooted in Islamic boarding schools (pesantren). This study concludes that Haji Her’s maqasid al-shari’ah based social entrepreneurship model can serve as a strategic inspiration for the development of holistic and sustainable community empowerment practices. Keywords: social entrepreneurship, community empowerment, maqasid al-shari’ah, Haji Her, Madura tobacco, Business Model Canvas.

Abstract

Madura Island remains one of the regions with the highest poverty rates in East Java Province. In this context, Islamic microfinance institutions (IMFIs) play a strategic role in empowering low-income communities. This study aims to explore the social movement strategies employed by three IMFIs affiliated with Nahdlatul Ulama—namely Koperasi An-Nisa’ IX Muslimat NU, BMT NU, and BMT Sidogiri—in promoting economic empowerment among rural communities in Madura. Adopting a qualitative approach through field research, the study collected data via in-depth interviews, participatory observations, and document analysis. The findings reveal that these institutions integrate Islamic values and Nahdliyyin cultural identity in four key strategies: religious organizational militancy, the pivotal role of pesantren, continuous mentoring models, and innovative service products. These empowerment movements have not only enhanced local economic participation but also reinforced culturally rooted social networks as a foundation for sustainable people-based economic development. Abstract

This research aims to find the concept of local cultural tourism based on tanean lanjhang and applicable ways to preserve it by prioritizing the welfare of the surrounding community as well as in a sustainable manner. This qualitative-descriptive study collected data using in-depth interview techniques, participative observation and documentation. The result is that the field of local culture tourism does not only rely on tanean lanjhang, the Nurun Tajalla mosque, the sacred tomb of Bhujuk Jepara, mandhapa, tomang handicrafts and Nyato springs, but on reflection-products in the deepest contents of people's awareness. Preserving culture is ancestral fanaticism. Meanwhile, living in harmony, practice, economy, prosperity and sustainability in MICE-based regional tourism is local wisdom that deserves to be fought for and must be guarded by the Pamekasan authorities.

Abstract

Tiktok Shop is one proof of increasingly sophisticated technological developments in the realm of buying and selling online. But behind the advantages offered, there are still things that are detrimental to the community, namely buying an item that is only based on wishes not only for daily needs. This study aims to determine the consumptive behavior of Muslim students in Madura as Z Gen in using the Tiktok Shop application while looking based on the perspective of Sharia Maqashid. This study uses qualitative methods with descriptive forms. The data collection techniques used are observations, interviews, and literature reviews. There are three criteria for determining the informant used: First, Muslim students in Madura; Second, students who have Tiktok applications; Third, have bought goods in the Tiktok Shop application. The results showed the occurrence of consumptive behavior because it was caused by several internal and external factors, namely: 1) Internal factors: Age and lifestyle, 2) External factors: free postage vouchers, discount vouchers, and cheaper prices. These factors, if viewed based on the perspective of Sharia Maqashid, Muslim students in Madura in buying an item not based on the level of priority and do not refine the principle of hifz an-nafs (maintaining the soul) and Hifz al-Mal (maintaining property) because it is influenced and controlled by a desire for pleasure and not based on needs, resulting in consumptive behavior

Abstract

Environment, Social & Governance (ESG) is a trending topic worldwide that is gaining a lot of traction because of its focus on social and environmental impact, and its relationship to improving financial performance. Likewise, Islamic Finance, being Shariah-compliant, is also another concept that is growing globally. These two concepts share many common values and similarities as they address challenges of social development. However, there are several obstacles and challenges in terms of integrating ESG in financial institutions, because this is a new concept. Financial institutions implement sharia principles with the aim of achieving Maqasid Sharia (i.e., protecting life, religion, mind, lineage and property). Even in the concept of ESG investment, screening of certain business sectors is required. The aim of this research is to optimize the potential to attract more interest from public companies as ESG and Maqasid Syaria strive to fulfill their social goals without compromising their side business operations. The research method uses a type of Systematic Review with a mixed method of literature search which is carried out both in qualitative and quantitative research. It aims to improve the integrity of research findings from 20 journal articles. This research found that Many Islamic banks have started promoting sustainability through their financing and initiatives many years ago which put them ahead in terms of ESG. There are still many obstacles that need to be overcome to get the best results from the integration of ESG and Islamic Finance as well as offering insights into Islamic finance models such as ESG investment from an Islamic perspective, especially with regard to the concepts of Maqasid Sharia and maslaha mursala, so that ESG and Maqasid Sharia can be applied in all institutions, especially Islamic banking.

Abstract

Abstract This study aims to explore how the implementation of Marketing 4.0 strategies can be optimized to address the declining interest in murabahah financing products at BPRS Sarana Prima Mandiri Pamekasan. Over the past five years, a significant decrease in customer interest— dropping to only 5% in 2024—has presented a critical challenge to the bank's sustainability and competitiveness. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach through field research conducted at PT BPRS Sarana Prima Mandiri. Data were collected using non-participant observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation, then analyzed through data reduction, display, and verification. The findings show that the application of the 4C components of Marketing 4.0 (Co-creation, Currency, Communal Activation, and Conversation) has contributed positively to re-engaging customers and restoring interest in murabahah financing. The study implies that the integration of digital and human-centered marketing strategies is essential for Islamic microfinance institutions to remain competitive and inclusive in the digital economy. Keywords: Marketing 4.0, BPRS, Murobahah, Financing.
