Abstract

This study aims to develop interactive learning media based on Card Match Circle (CMC) to improve student learning outcomes in Social Sciences (IPS) subjects in class VII MTs Ma'arif Ambulu Jember, especially the material on Social and Cultural Diversity of Society. The background of this study is the low interest in learning and achievement of student learning outcomes that have not met the Minimum Completion Criteria (KKM), due to monotonous learning methods and the lack of interesting media. The study used the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) model. The products developed were CMC media with colored cards and interactive spin-based games. The validation results showed that this media was very valid, with a score of 96% from media experts, 80% from material experts, and 86.6% from language experts. The practicality of the media was assessed as very good based on student responses. The effectiveness of the media was shown by an increase in students' pretest and posttest scores, both on a small scale (85% to 92%) and a large scale (80% to 90%). Thus, CMC media is proven to be valid, practical, and effective in improving students' social studies learning outcomes.

Abstract

Despite increasing attention to financial literacy, limited contextual and Sharia-based interventions exist in pesantren settings. Therefore, this community service program aims to enhance students’ financial literacy through Sharia-based financial management training at the Ar Roudhoh Foundation, Jember. The program is motivated by the low level of students’ ability to manage personal finances and to support pesantren-based entrepreneurial activities. The method employed is Participatory Action Research (PAR), involving students, foundation administrators, and teachers (ustadz/ustadzah) in the planning, implementation, and evaluation stages. The training was conducted through interactive lectures, group discussions, pesantren-contextual case studies, simulations of budgeting, financial record-keeping, and savings planning based on Sharia principles, as well as the use of daily and weekly financial control sheets. Service evaluation was systematically designed to measure both learning outcomes and program effectiveness. The evaluation process consisted of quantitative and qualitative approaches, including pretest and posttest instruments to assess changes in financial literacy levels, structured observation sheets to evaluate participants’ practical financial management skills during simulations, and participant satisfaction questionnaires to measure the relevance, clarity, usefulness, and applicability of the training materials in daily life. Pretest results indicated that 80% of students were in the low to moderate financial literacy category, with mastery levels ranging from 53% to 67%. After the training, posttest results showed a significant improvement, with 92% of students achieving a high mastery category (83%–100%). Improvements were observed in budgeting skills, financial record-keeping, understanding of Sharia financial principles, and savings awareness. Participant evaluations revealed that the training materials were easy to understand, relevant to students’ needs, and supported by effective methods and media. Overall, Sharia-based financial management training has proven effective in improving students’ financial literacy and fostering more disciplined financial behavior in accordance with Islamic values, thereby potentially supporting the sustainable economic independence of pesantren.

Abstract

Purpose – Previous reports noted issues relating to transparency and accountability in the management of school cooperatives due to system errors, inefficiency, and limited real-time tracking with manual record-keeping of financial transactions. This study presents an application geared to tackle such challenges and lay the groundwork for further development in managing co-op financial needs. Design/methodology/approach – A Design and Development Research (DDR) approach was used along with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) with the Waterfall model. Data collection involved observations, interviews, documentation review, and questionnaires. The system was developed through five phases: analysis, design, implementation, testing, and maintenance, all of which were carried out with the aid of this survey. The evaluation involved two information technology experts who were complemented by two accounting specialists. It included feasibility and user-driven usability assessments through a five-point Likert-scale instrument with five participants. Evaluations of transaction processes and financial reporting times before and after the application’s launch were used to track operational metrics over 30 transactions. Finding/Results – The findings suggest that the application is highly feasible in context and received very positive feedback throughout the limited testing. Feasibility of technology increased from 90% to 97.5%, while financial and accounting feasibility increased from 89.06% to 96.88%. Usefulness and satisfaction reached 98.18%. Operational appraisals also found time-related benefits in processing transactions and decent financial reporting. Originality/Value – This is an original study which optimizes accounting information system, real-time reporting, and inventory management a web-based solution. The researchers address only modest operational performance measures in to complement perception-based assessments in a small-scale environment

Abstract

Perguruan Tinggi Keagamaan Islam (PTKI) plays a vital role not only as centers for religious moderation but also in producing graduates who become community leaders contributing to national and religious development. This study aims to examine the factors influencing Generation Z’s intention to enrol in PTKI, with a focus on UIN Kiai Haji Achmad Siddiq Jember as a case study. The research specifically investigates whether religiosity, along with attitude, subjective norms, and perceived behavioral control, affects students' enrollment decisions. A quantitative approach was employed using a structured questionnaire to 168 high school students in the Tapal Kuda region (Jember, Banyuwangi, Lumajang, Bondowoso, Pasuruan, Situbondo, and Probolinggo). The data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling Partial Least Squares. The results indicate that attitude, subjective norms, and perceived behavioral control positively and significantly influence students’ intention to enrol, with attitude being the most dominant factor. In contrast, religiosity does not significantly impact enrollment decisions. These findings suggest that PTKI should focus their promotional and communication strategies on academic quality, professional prospects, and social influence rather than relying solely on religious orientation to attract prospective students.

Abstract

Abstract Education is a conscious effort made by individuals with the aim of improving their quality as a form of adaptation of self-thinking to the times (Law No. 20 of 2003 article 1 paragraph 1). There are several levels of formal education in Indonesia, including Pre-School Education, Elementary School Education, Secondary Education, and Higher Education. The aim of education in general is to improve the welfare of individuals who carry out education itself. In addition, it is an investment in human capital which will provide more benefits to the country. Meanwhile, according to the National Education System Law No. 20 of 2003 article 3, the purpose of holding education is to "Educate the life of the nation and develop Indonesian people as a whole, namely people who have faith and devotion to God Almighty and have noble character, have knowledge and skills, physical and spiritual health, a solid personality. and be responsible for the community and nationality ”. This study was compiled using a research method with a descriptive quantitative approach using the help of the SPSS version 25 test application. Where it was carried out for approximately two months in six sub-districts in different Jember districts. The data sample taken was 18 data. The education received by individuals should reflect how their life is which is seen from the income they receive for their work. However, in fact there is no difference in the level of education they receive. This means that indirectly the level of a person's education does not determine how high the level of income they earn. Because, there are other factors outside of education that affect the income of an individual in the family.
