Abstract

The process of instilling ethical values in students frequently remains centered on the theoretical delivery of material and has not been adequately connected to real-life situations, resulting in low levels of comprehension and active student engagement during the learning process. A similar phenomenon was identified at DTA Al-Muhajirin, where the majority of students demonstrated passive attitudes and experienced difficulties in translating ethical values into their daily behavior. This study was conducted to examine the extent to which students’ ethical knowledge could be improved through the implementation of the role-play method within the framework of the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) approach. The study employed a quantitative descriptive research design involving 20 students aged 8–12 years at DTA Al-Muhajirin as research participants. Data were collected using pretest and posttest instruments to measure students’ ethical knowledge before and after the instructional intervention was implemented. The findings revealed a substantial improvement in students’ ethical knowledge following the intervention. The average score increased from 78 to 93, while the lowest score improved from 53.3 to 80. All students consistently demonstrated positive score trajectories, indicating that the role-play method within the CTL framework has the potential to create more meaningful, contextualized, and participatory learning experiences. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the implementation of the role-play method through the CTL approach made a significant positive contribution to enhancing students’ ethical understanding at DTA Al-Muhajirin.

Abstract

This article examines the role of pentahelix collaboration in promoting human resource development (HRD) for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) using a bibliometric approach. Using 180 Scopus-indexed publications from 2016 to 2025, data were processed with VOSviewer to examine publication trends, co-authorship networks, keyword clustering, and thematic development. The findings indicate that Indonesia contributes the largest number of studies, reflecting its central role in the pentahelix-based development discourse. Five thematic clusters were identified, covering institutional collaboration, digitalization, education, cultural values, village empowerment, and collaborative governance. The results show a gradual shift from conceptual discussions to practical applications, particularly in digital transformation and inclusive governance for MSMEs. Emerging themes such as sustainability, women’s empowerment, and ecosystem-based innovation are gaining significant attention. This study contributes theoretically by refining the conceptual framework of pentahelix collaboration in relation to HRD, while practically providing direction for policymakers, educators, and practitioners to strengthen MSME competitiveness through inclusive and adaptive strategies. By mapping the research landscape, this study highlights the importance of multi-stakeholder collaboration as a foundation for building resilient and innovation-driven MSME ecosystems.

Abstract

The low motivation and learning outcomes of students in non-formal religious educational institutions are problems that have not been widely addressed through innovative learning methods. This study aims to test the effectiveness of the Team Games Tournament (TGT) method in improving the learning outcomes of Akidah Akhlak (Islamic Aqidah) of 6th grade students at Madrasah Diniyah Takmiliyah Awwaliyah (MDTA) Dzuhainah, Tasikmalaya City. The study used a quantitative approach with a one-group pretest-posttest design on 22 students. The learning model was validated by three validators using the Aiken's V index before implementation. Learning outcome data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon Signed-Rank test. The model validation results showed an average Aiken's V index of 0.913 (high category). After implementing TGT in one 90-minute session, the average student score increased from 61.82 to 78.41 with an average gain of 16.59 points (an increase of 26.84%). The Wilcoxon test yielded a Z value of -4.107, greater than the critical value of 1.96 (α = 0.05), thus the improvement was declared statistically significant. All 22 students (100%) experienced an increase in their scores. 82% of students achieved scores above the KKM of 70. The TGT method demonstrated significant effectiveness in improving cognitive learning outcomes in the context of a single-session implementation at MDTA Dzuhainah, although the generalization of the findings requires further validation through a more robust research design.

Abstract

Early childhood education is a fundamental period in individual development that occurs between the ages of 0 and 6 years, where growth occurs in the cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects. However, learning practices in the field still face problems related to child participation due to the limited use of varied learning media. This study aims to develop and implement the Guided Interactive Visual Sharing (GIVS) learning model which includes Guided Learning, the use of puzzle envelopes, Picture and Picture, and Share Your Information. This study used a pre-experimental method with a quantitative approach, with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The research subjects were 18 early childhood children. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation and assessment instruments, with validity tests using Aiken’s V formula, and data analysis using the Wilcoxon test to see differences in results before and after treatment. This learning method is designed to create a participatory and child-centered learning atmosphere. The results of the study indicate that the application of the GIVS model can improve children’s understanding and participation in the learning process. Thus, the application of the GIVS model can be an innovative solution in early childhood learning to improve children’s understanding and participation.
