Abstract

The world is no longer round, but has become flat with the arrival of the internet. The increasing number of internet users after the pandemic has contributed to making the world flatter. The development of surveillance technology facilitates the transfer of information in real time from a remote corner of Indonesia to America, which can also be accessed instantly by the wider community, if the information is conveyed via television or website on the internet network. This encourages the creation of new professions such as content creators who utilize various social media platforms to support economic independence, especially for youth through social media. Internet users in regions, such as Kendari, Southeast Sulawesi, have also increased since 2020. However, until now, in general, the livelihoods of the people of Kendari city are still in the agriculture, plantation, livestock, fisheries and industrial sectors. Thus, this activity aims to build a new paradigm from the youth in Kendari city towards new livelihood variants by utilizing social media. The results of the socialization activities carried out, firstly, awakened awareness for the youth of Kendari city about the use of social media that can support economic independence. Second, the content creator profession is developing in Kendari city

Abstract

Penelitian dilakukan di Desa Kontunaga Kecamatan  Kontunaga selama periode bulan Januari sampai dengan bulan Februari 2022. Adapun   tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui  penggunaan bentuk-bentuk ruang publik dalam pemilihan Bupati Muna tahun 2020 dan peran ruang publik dalam Pemilu Kabupaten Muna tahun 2020. Konsep yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah ruang publik dan bentuk-bentuk ruang publik.  Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif, yang mana hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa konstruksi makna masih didominasi oleh elit. Dominasi ini diindikasikan dari penggunaan argumen-argumen yang bersifat legal, normatif, dan prosedural sehingga mempersempit peluang munculnya pemilihan tandingan. Wacana figur alternatif sebagai pemilihan tandingan mengindikasikan ketidakpercayaan masyarakat terhadap elit penguasa, yang dinilai tidak mampu membawa perubahan signifikan dalam praktik pemerintahan daerah.

Abstract

Abstract. The government's move to suppress the spread of the covid-19 virus in Indonesia by limiting the meeting of a number of people has an impact on many lines of life including higher education institutions. Starting from 2020, the learning system undergoes the most fundamental change in the history of the transformation of the Education system. Through government program policies, learning that was initially held face-to-face then replaced with virtual meetings, the transformation of learning media is also massive, where there is a discussion of online learning media that support the implementation of virtual lectures becomes the main prerequisite. The development of communication technology plays an important role to be an option in an effort to provide learning media that can be utilized. Social media that appeared to support the learning management system. Using social media in order to trigger the quality of student learning by utilizing all the ease of communicating and sharing information owned by the media for the education or learning process becomes more effective and efficient and accelerates information as a whole. The method of the research is Mixed method research, were to combine the quantitative and qualitative methods used in this study with the aim of identifying students' digital literacy competencies related to learning media by filling out questionnaires to a total of 120 students. All students who filled out the questionnaire were students who had participated in online learning and practicums on campus. and also conducting in-depth interviews on students to find out their opinions regarding social media to support their learning process. The collected data was analyzed using SPSS and analyzed using descriptive methods.
