Abstract

Abstract

This article is the result of legal research that analyzes forest destruction on Sumbawa Island, West Nusa Tenggara from the perspective of ecological justice, focusing on the concept of ecological justice in forest management on Sumbawa Island, and policies on forest utilization on Sumbawa Island with the corn industry program which actually resulted in a crisis. environment in the form of forest destruction. The purpose of this study was to analyze forest destruction on Sumbawa Island, West Nusa Tenggara Province from the perspective of Ecological Justice, by conducting an analysis of forest management policies on Sumbawa Island. The method used in this study is a normative research method with a conceptual approach, statutory approach, conceptual approach, comparative approach, and analytical approach. The results of this study indicate that there has been massive forest destruction, for this reason the application of the concept of ecological justice in forest management on Sumbawa Island still needs to be implemented massively. This departs from the fact that massive forest destruction (natural exploitation) and/or environmental damage continues to occur, but an effective settlement of environmental cases has not yet been found. Likewise with the forest utilization policy on Sumbawa Island which still really needs a concrete role from the government and also the regional government of NTB . For the sake of realizing ecological justice, it cannot be separated from the role of the government as an institution authorized to implement laws and regulations. As the government as the guardian and/or executor of the law on the protection and management of the environment provides a sense of fairness in managing the environment. Keywords: Ecological Justice; Deforestation; West Nusa Tenggara; Sumbawa Island.

Abstract

Central Sulawesi's 2018 earthquake, liquefaction, and tsunami caused liquefaction in Palu City's Balaroa and Petobo neighbourhoods. Land surface changes affected agricultural land area and soil fertility, which can affect farmers' income. Soil fertility indicates its nutrient-providing capacity. This study aims to assess agricultural land fertility, farmer income, and the best ways to recover from natural disasters. This descriptive study included all Petobo farmers affected by the earthquake and liquefaction. Purposive sampling tested 25 respondents. The field survey collected soil samples at coordinate points. Twelve soil samples were taken from six points at 20 cm and 40 cm depths. The samples were analysed at Tadulako University's Environmental and Natural Resources Analysis Laboratory. The results showed that Petobo Village's liquefaction-affected and unaffected areas had low fertility due to low C-organic and Potassium content, which prevented plants from using soil nutrients. Low soil fertility reduces crop production. Farmers earn an average of Rp. 1,422,857 per hectare, up to Rp. 4,633,929 per season per hectare. To increase soil fertility, farmers can use compost, manure, crop residues like legume plant stover, rice straw, and chemical fertilisers according to dosage.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to describe the constitution as the most important legal document. The constitution is a very important rule for every nation and state, both those that have been independent for a long time and those that have just gained their independence. Because the state is an organization of power that includes a very large number of people, it is necessary to have a system of control (an effective system of restrictions). This is done through law (both written and unwritten, namely the constitution or basic laws). This research method is legal research. This article is the result of research on the issue of limiting the power of state government in terms of the constitution and the underlying constitutionalism. The discourse regarding limiting power is an integral part in countries that base themselves on constitutional democracy, such as the Republic of Indonesia, where the constitution actually acts as an instrument or means for regulating and controlling power. The idea that government power needs to be limited because the State is run by humans and that humans are without exception inherent in many weaknesses. His proposition which later became famous reads as follows: "humans who have power tend to abuse that power, but humans who have unlimited power will certainly abuse it in an unlimited way (power tends to corrupt, but absolute power corrupts absolutely)

Abstract

This research aims to increase students' understanding of concepts in Social Sciences (IPS) subjects through the application of digital literacy-based learning media in class VIII of SMP Negeri 3 Belo. The research background shows that social studies learning is still centred on teachers with students who tend to be passive, resulting in a lack of understanding of the material, especially those that require memorization. The research method used was Classroom Action Research (PTK) with research subjects of 29 students. This research involved two cycles of action with results showing a significant increase in students' conceptual understanding after implementing digital literacy-based learning media. In cycle I, action I, only 41.93% of students completed it, but this increased to 100% in cycle II, action II. The average student score also increased from 52.19 before the research to 82.52 after the research. The results of this research show that digital literacy-based learning media is effective in increasing students' conceptual understanding and can be applied not only to social studies subjects but also to other subjects at various levels of education.
