Abstract

The digital era has profoundly transformed early childhood education, creating both opportunities and challenges for Islamic Religious Education (PAI). Young children are increasingly exposed to digital media that influences their cognitive, emotional, and moral development from an early age. This condition requires innovative educational strategies that not only enhance religious knowledge but also foster spirituality, moral character, and ethical awareness rooted in Islamic values. This study employs a qualitative literature review approach, analyzing scholarly works published between 2018 and 2023 related to early childhood spirituality, Islamic education, digital literacy, and character education. The findings reveal that effective spiritual development in Islamic early childhood education requires an integrated framework that combines the internalization of aqidah, ibadah, and akhlaq with value-based digital literacy, child-centered pedagogy, and character-oriented curriculum design. Furthermore, the success of these strategies depends on strong collaboration among educators, families, and communities, as well as continuous formative evaluation. This study contributes a conceptual foundation for developing spiritually grounded, pedagogically innovative, and contextually responsive Islamic early childhood education in the digital era.

Abstract

Islamic educational institutions face increasing leadership challenges in the era of globalization and digital transformation. Issues such as limited leadership innovation, low leadership confidence, and weak decision-making capacity often hinder institutional development and competitiveness. This study aims to examine how Self-Efficacy Theory can serve as a conceptual solution to leadership problems in Islamic educational institutions. The research employs a qualitative approach using library research by analyzing relevant scholarly literature published between 2018 and 2023 on educational leadership, psychological competence, and Islamic education management. The findings indicate that leadership effectiveness is strongly influenced by psychological competence, particularly self-efficacy, which shapes leaders’ confidence, motivation, and persistence in managing organizational challenges. Leaders with strong self-efficacy are more likely to initiate innovation, make strategic decisions, and foster collaborative organizational cultures. The study also identifies four major sources of self-efficacy—mastery experiences, vicarious experiences, social persuasion, and emotional regulation—as key factors in strengthening leadership capacity. Integrating self-efficacy with Islamic leadership values such as responsibility (amanah), perseverance, and spiritual resilience can contribute to the development of adaptive, innovative, and effective leadership in Islamic educational institutions. Therefore, strengthening leaders’ self-efficacy should become an important component of leadership development programs in Islamic education.

Abstract

The low awareness of tajwid in Quranic learning, due to a lack of motivation and behavioral reinforcement, has become a crucial issue, as the Quranic illiteracy rate is reaching 72.25% in Indonesia. This study aims to analyze the application of B.F. Skinner's behaviorist theory in the Tahsin Bagdadi Method to strengthen awareness of tajwid among students at the Sekolah Guru Ngaji, Pesantren Takhassus IIQ Jakarta. A qualitative descriptive method with an instrumental case study approach was used, collecting primary data through direct observation of the learning process, in-depth interviews with 1 teacher, 2 administrators, and 9 students, as well as documentation of teaching materials (Tahsin Bagdadi method book, Tajwid Poem, Teacher's Guide book). Data were analyzed through reduction, presentation, and verification. The main findings show the effectiveness of hierarchical teaching materials (from makhārij al-ḥurūf to sifat ‘āridah), repetition of i‘rāb and rhymes for habituation, as well as positive reinforcement (verbal praise) and negative reinforcement (re-explanation) that enhance motivation, discipline, focus, and reduce reading errors through operant conditioning and shaping. The conclusion states that the integration of behaviorism with Tahsin Bagdadi method successfully led to the internalization of conscious tajwid behavior. The implications include behaviorist-based teacher training and advanced mixed-methods research for broader generalization in national Quran pedagogy.

Abstract

Character-based Islamic education, until now, is still essential when the moral degradation of the nation's children continues to increase from year to year. This research aims to reveal the revitalization of Islamic education and how it shapes student character at Islamic Boarding School Asshiddiqiyah 2 Tangerang. Researchers used a qualitative approach with a case study type. The results showed that the boarding school had revitalized character-building through Islamic education by formulating the achievement of character-building goals according to the needs of the times and strengthening positive habituation in daily activities based on Ahlussunnah Wal Jama'ah values (tawasuth, tidal, tasamuh, tawazun, amar ma'ruf nahi munkar). The results of this revitalization can be seen in the presence of students who optimize their potential through value transformation, value transactions, and value internalization in their daily lives.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the concept of learning methodology from Imam Az-Zarnūjī's perspective and analyze the form of Islamic education learning methodology development through the study of poems in the book Ta'līm al-Muta'allim. The researchers used a literature review with a qualitative research type through a descriptive analysis and content analysis approach. The data sources were excavated from primary and secondary data, while the data collection technique used observation and documentation. The study results indicate that the learning methodology in Imam Az-Zarnūjī's perspective conceptually is learning with a strong relational system between the concepts found, namely poems as learning strategies and methods. These strategies and techniques are seen in the three educational domains: cognitive, cognitive, affective, and psychomotor. Methodologically, the researchers found three learning strategies: the planning strategy, the at-ta'dībī strategy, and the continuity strategy. The researchers also found four learning methods as a real manifestation of the existing strategy: experimental, discussion, cooperation, and drill.

Abstract

This research analyzes the issue of religion in understanding multiple realities. So it needs to be explained how religion can be one of the triggers of the problem and eventually become tyrants of other religions or beliefs. The problem that is limited in this study is that it relates to religion which is limited to the reality of conflicts that occur, as long as the conflict is published; both through research and through mass media. Furthermore, this research tries to look at the background of the understanding of diversity that occurs in society, so that it can be explained how it exists in interreligious relations in order to be in line. Religious expression among religious followers can influence patterns of integration and conflict. It will increase and become a trigger for conflict when it relates to the factors of economic and political inequality both locally, nationally, and even the constellation that is originally reasonable in the community, then strengthens and becomes clear, especially in society so that conflicts arise. Social integration can be a conflict resolution if maintained through bonds among citizens and social organizations that cross primordial boundaries.
