Abstract

ABSTRACT. This paper explains the issues in managing productive zakat by Baitul Mal Aceh. The Faith-Based Organization tried to eliminate poverty in Aceh Province, Indonesia. We used a qualitative approach and implemented observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation studies to collect data. Based on the study, we found some issues related to human resources and the disbursement mechanisms. Based on the research, we propose to Aceh Government increase the quality of human resources in managing productive zakat. For the Baitul Mal Aceh, we also recommend clarifying the recruitment system and its standardization, to have better zakat productive utilization in the Aceh Province. ABSTRAK. Penelitian ini membahas tentang problematika yang dihadapi ketika Baitul Mal Aceh mengelola zakat secara produktif oleh. Organisasi berbasi agama ini mencoba untuk mengatasi kemiskinan di Provinsi Aceh, Peneliti menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan menerapkan observasi, in-depth interview, serta studi dokumentasi untuk mengumpulkan data. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, ditemukan bahwa problematika yang dihadapi antara lain keterbatasan sumber daya manusia dan mekanisme pencairan dana. Berdasarkan penelitian yang telah dilakukan, disarankan kepada Pemerintah Aceh untuk meningkatkan kualitas sumber daya manusia dalam mengelola zakat produktif. Kepada Baitul Mal Aceh, disarankan untuk memperjelas sistem rekrutmen dan standarisasinya agar pengelolaan zakat di Provinsi Aceh lebih baik.

Abstract

Residents in various villages to have agricultural land. The distribution of soil types in the agrarian reform program in Kabupaten Bogor is divided into two categories, namely paddy fields and dry land. The number of family members beneficiaries of agrarian reform has an average of around 3-4 people with a standard deviation of 1.3. Agricultural land ownership status affects the welfare of farmers. Social capital is related to cooperation in a society to achieve a better quality of life supported by values ​​and norms as the main elements including trust, reciprocity and collective rules. The influence of spirituality on the welfare of farmers in Bogor Regency is very important to have. Some farmers think that having a high level of education is not important to work as a farmer. Personal attributes influence the welfare of farmers in Bogor Regency. The main objective of this study was to determine the effect of the agrarian reform program, social capital, farmer spirituality and personal attributes on the welfare of farmers in Kabupaten Bogor, West Java. This study was designed using a descriptive method with a quantitative approach. Moreover, To find out how much influence these personal attributes have, this study uses 5 (five) conceptual points in the hypothesis. The five points that influence personal attributes include extraversion, agreeableness, conscientiousness, neuroticism and openness. Most of the farmers feel less confident in carrying out their agricultural tasks, but they have good communication skills and are full of enthusiasm.

Abstract

This study aims to see the effect of social support and resilience on fishermen's subjective quality of life in Pangandaran Regency. The measurements used to measure fishermen's subjective quality of life include aspects of physical well-being, social well-being, material well-being, development and activity, and emotional well-being. This study uses a quantitative method with survey data collection techniques. The data analysis technique used was the Somers correlation technique which was analyzed through SPSS (Statistical Package for Social Sciences). Data were collected by survey using three instruments from the subjective quality of life variables, social support, and resilience, with 243 fishermen who were heads of families. The results of this discovery revealed that social support has a positive and significant relationship with the subjective quality of life of fishermen, with a p-value of 0.00 and a correlation coefficient of 0.462 (moderate), and the resilience variable has a positive and significant influence on the subjective quality of life of fishermen with a p-value of 0.00 and a correlation coefficient of 0.520 (moderate). Abstract

This research analyzed the crucial management dimensions or key elements oforganizations that have been managed as Islamic almsgiving institutions (zakahfunds) in Indonesia. Zakah funds are traditionally managed for a limited number ofbeneficiaries. Zakah funds are now collected and managed by professional Islamicor faith-based organizations and institutions at the national or regional level toachieve a wider range of beneficiaries. This article examines how two Islamicor faith-based organizations, herein named CV (commanditaire vennootschap)“X” and “Y” Foundation, manage small enterprise programs based on zakah toreach a wider range of beneficiaries. Using qualitative methods, the researchidentifies crucial dimensions in the management of organizational dynamics ofthese Islamic or faith-based organizations, i.e., organizational systems, humanresources, and organizational climate. Those elements are used to manageeconomic empowerment activities with faith as a supra structure or contextualunderlying factor. Field findings also demonstrated the usefulness of religiousvalues in managing sustainable community-empowerment practices in smallenterprise programs.

Abstract

Artikel ini membahas mengenai peran partisipasi masyarakat dalam mewujudkan kesejahteraan anak melalui RW Ramah Anak. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa partisipasi masyarakat mempunyai peran penting dalam mewujudkan kesejahteraan anak melalui RW Ramah Anak. Hal-hal yang mempengaruhi derajat partisipasi  masyarakat adalah tingginya pemahaman masyarakat, motivasi internal untuk bergerak secara sukarela, modal komunitas dan agen pengubah. Dengan tingginya partisipasi masyarakat, program RW Ramah Anak bisa berjalan dengan baik, sehingga kesejahteraan anak terpenuhi ditandai dengan masalah anak dapat dikelola dengan baik, kebutuhan anak terpenuhi dan ada kesempatan anak untuk mengembangkan diri. Sebagai rekomendasi, pelaksanaan RW Ramah Anak perlu didukung secara anggaran oleh pemerintah, supaya pelaksanaannya lebih optimal lagi. Kata Kunci: Partisipasi Masyarakat, Kesejahteraan Anak, RW Ramah Anak Abstract: This article discusses the role of community participation in realizing child welfare through Child-Friendly in the neighborhood community (RW). The method used in this research is a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. The results of this study indicate that community participation has an important role in realizing children's welfare through Child-Friendly RW. Things that affect the degree of community participation are the high level of public understanding, an internal motivation to move voluntarily, community capital, and agents of change. With high community participation, the Child-Friendly RW program can run well, so that children's welfare is fulfilled, marked by children's problems can be managed properly, children's needs are met and there are opportunities for children to develop themselves. As a recommendation, the implementation of Child-Friendly RW needs to be supported on a budget basis by the government, so that its implementation can be even more optimal. Keyword: community participation, child welfare, child friendly city

Abstract

Since the independence of Indonesia, many problems have always been discussed. Poverty and inequality are one of those problems that existed and have been solved since almost eight decades ago. The government has been trying to make the country better through development that emphasizes economic improvement. Unfortunately, economic development creates another social problem: the gap between the “haves” and the “have-nots.” Social and economic disparities could cause social disintegration. The main dispute is not merely in the poverty itself, but how the stakeholders respond to poverty. This article examines the problems of poverty from the community integration point of view. We found how communities can become separated from each other due to various factors such a physical, social, and economic barriers. It outlines the challenges faced in addressing social disintegration through the children's learning house program which is based on community-based action research.

Abstract

This research aims to study the challenges faced by actors in management and distribution of CCT. There has been no research the challenges faced by actors in management and distribution of CCT program during the 2020-2021 COVID-19 period and there has been no research regarding the analysis of challenges faced by actors in management and distribution of CCT. The research adopts a qualitative approach, involving basic research and descriptive research to build/test theories and describe the challenges faced by actors in the CCT Program. Study findings related to this research identified three actor challenges. The first challenge concerns the passive role of institutions and the number of human resources in CCT distribution. The second challenge involves delays in funds and beneficiary data, as well as data accuracy issues, such as beneficiary family addresses, National Identify Number (NIN), and marital status. The third challenge pertains to protests from the community and administrative negligence by the community. The study concludes with three actor challenges in the CCT program's target inaccuracies: human resources, data, and community.

Abstract

Background: This study discusses community empowerment activities for communities affected by the Covid-19 pandemic through the food security program in the Tenjo Village by the Human Initiative. The research approach used is a qualitative research approach with descriptive research type with a research period from October 2020 to July 2021. This study will also examine whether there are differences in the stages of community empowerment carried out before and after the Covid-19 pandemic. In addition, this study will also examine the obstacles in implementing community empowerment during the Covid-19 pandemic in the Tenjo Village food security program. Methods: The data sources used were obtained through in-depth interviews, observation and documentation studies involving seven informants. Findings: The results showed that there were four stages of empowerment held in the program, including the planning, preparation, program implementation, and activity evaluation monitoring stages. During implementation program, there are several inhibiting factors that can be classified based on organizational aspect, networking aspect, community aspect, and external aspect. To overcome the obstacles from those various aspects, efforts are made to minimize the impact of those obstacles. Conclusion: The results of the analysis show that the stages of empowerment held in the Tenjo Village food security program are in accordance with the seven stages of community development. In addition, the obstacles that occur during program implementation are in accordance with the obstacles in the community development stage. Meanwhile, the efforts made to overcome these obstacles can be done with a description in the evaluation of the process and the results of the changes. Novelty/Originality of this article: This research not only describes the stages of empowerment carried out, but also analyzes the differences in the stages of community empowerment before and after the pandemic. The focus on change and adaptation at this stage is an aspect that has not been widely explored in community empowerment research during times of crisis.

Abstract

This research describes the existence of interventions at the community level through social action / community action carried out by the cantrang fishing community in Tasikagung Village, Rembang Regency. This action is an effort by the cantrang fishing community to fight for their welfare after the issuance of a policy on the prohibition on the use of cantrang type fishing gear through the Minister of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Regulation of the Republic of Indonesia. This research is a study that uses a qualitative approach, with the type of research descriptive. The results of this study show that the change in living conditions in the cantrang fishing community, as well as the differences in perceptions between the fishermen and the government, are factors that encourage cantrang fishing communities to hold confrontational protests through demonstrations, roadblocks, and negotiations. The groups or stakeholders involved in this action include the communities that have work related to cantrang vessels

Abstract

The proportion of rural poverty is always higher than urban poverty in Indonesia. Poverty reduction programs, especially in rural areas, should put the community as the priority subject in each program. Banyuwangi Regency in East Java Province is one of the best example in poverty reduction program. Banyuwangi succeed to reduce its poverty rate significantly from tourism sector. This tourism increases income per capita of Banyuwangi from year to year. The poverty reduction in Banyuwangi is influenced by smart kampung and local economic development through a community-based tourism. (CBT) and Initiating local industry.Based on observation and in depth interview, Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDes) Ijen Lestari is an innovation for public services contributes to the community by giving loan fund to finance local economic activities and employment. BUMDes also provides services and a media for positive change and interaction. Thesis research, it is concluded that BUMDes gives positive impacts to provision of employment and tourism business income. However, as an innovation of public services, BUMDes also needs to enhance its networking with other stakeholders in order to develop its strategic destinations and improve the skills of their local human resources for using Information Technology to attract the tourists attention
