Abstract

One factor contributing to rainfall in a certain region is the presence of convective cloud growth. Extensive convective clouds can trigger extreme weather conditions and the occurrence of Mesoscale Convective Complex (MCC) phenomena. MCCs phenomena are characterized by circular cloud cover with eccentricity ≥ 0.7, core cloud area ≥ 50,000 km², cloud cover area ≥ 100,000 km², and cloud top temperature ≤ -52 °C or 221 K. This study aims to identify the spatial and diurnal of MCC in the Southern Papua and for the period of December 2017 to November 2022, as well as to assess its impacts on rainfall during MCC events. Satellite data from Himawari-8 in IR channel was used to analyze MCCs criteria, which were then plotted using a geographic visualization software. Rainfall data in GSMaP was processed using GrADS to display rainfall values. The data processing procedure is carried out using an algorithm based on the study conducted by Maddox. The results of the spatial distribution analysis showed that there were 20 MCC events that occurred during the 5-year period, with dominant growth in inland areas near mountainous and high-topography regions. Seasonally, MCC events predominantly occurred during the MAM period and were least frequent in the JJA period. The diurnal distribution revealed that MCC events had a nocturnal life cycle, forming during the nighttime until early morning. Analysis of the GSMaP rainfall data indicated that the dominant rainfall intensity caused by MCC events was heavy rain (20 – 50 mm/hr).

Abstract

This study's goal was to outline the opportunities and challenges of how digitization will affect MSMEs. We combined publication trends from numerous papers using the qualitative methodology to find them. We found that the process of digitizing MSMEs involves switching from analog to digital technologies in order to improve the efficacy and efficiency of MSMEs business operations. The digitization of MSMEs has compelled stakeholders in MSMEs businesses to change corporate governance from outdated techniques to more contemporary ones. For MSMEs, becoming digital involves more than just utilizing technology to sell goods. Additionally, MSMEs will be able to manage their accounts, track their cash flow, and buy raw materials online as a result of digitization. As a result, digitization is crucial to the whole operation of MSMEs business activities.

Abstract

This research investigates the effect of financial literacy and socioeconomic background on students' financial education at SMK PAB 2 Helvetia. Financial literacy is increasingly recognized as an essential skill for managing personal finances, yet many students, particularly in vocational schools, face challenges in understanding and applying key financial concepts. The study highlights the role of socioeconomic factors, such as family income and parental education, in shaping students' financial literacy. A quantitative approach was employed, with a sample of 50 students from diverse socioeconomic backgrounds. The data was collected using a structured survey that measured financial literacy across budgeting, saving, investing, and debt management. The results, analyzed using ANOVA, reveal that students from higher-income families had significantly better financial literacy scores than those from middle- or low-income families. The study suggests that targeted financial education programs are essential for improving financial literacy, particularly for students from disadvantaged backgrounds. This research emphasizes the need for inclusive and accessible financial education tailored to the varying socioeconomic contexts of students.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of the implementation of the QRIS payment system on increasing the income of MSMEs in the restaurant sector in Medan Sunggal District, Medan City, where MSMEs play a crucial role in the national economy with a contribution of 60.5% of GDP and absorption of 96.9% of the workforce, but face challenges in access to financing, tight competition and limitations of digital technology. A quantitative approach was applied to 20 samples of MSME restaurants from a population of 21 units that have used QRIS for at least 6 months with data collection through closed questionnaires analyzed using Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) with a KMO value of 0.562> 0.5 and Bartlett's test sig. 0.003 and Multiple Linear Regression after fulfilling classical assumption tests such as normality (Kolmogorov-Smirnov sig. 0.200), multicollinearity (VIF <10) and autocorrelation (Runs Test sig. 0.108). The CFA results identified four main factors from ten independent variables, namely the use of e-commerce applications (X1), online presence on social media (X2), QRIS implementation (X3) and integration with delivery platforms (X4) which explained the total variance of 77.673%. The multiple linear regression model produced the equation Y = 6.066 + 0.253X1 + 0.293X2 + 0.324X3 + 0.249X4, where the use of e-commerce applications (X1) had a positive and significant effect partially (t = 1.892 > t-table 1.753, sig = 0.03 < 0.05). Then the online presence on social media (X2) had a positive and significant effect partially (t = 1.845 > t- table 1.753, sig = 0.01 < 0.05). Then the implementation of QRIS (X3) has a positive and significant effect partially (t = 2.617 > t-table 1.753, sig = 0.01 < 0.05). Then integration with the delivery platform (X4) has a positive and significant effect partially (t = 1.871 > t-table 1.753, sig = 0.02 < 0.05). Meanwhile, the simultaneous test shows F = 4.273 (sig = 0.02) with R² = 0.848 which explains 84.8% of the variation in income. The rest is influenced by external factors in the region. QRIS is proven to be a major catalyst through transaction efficiency without MDR fees for nominal ≤Rp500,000, reduced cash risk and increased customer turnover in busy culinary areas such as Medan Sunggal which has the 20 highest MSME restaurants in Medan.
