Abstract

The increasing use of social media among students has raised concerns regarding its impact on mental health, academic performance, and interpersonal relationships. This study introduces a Streamlit-based web application that predicts social media addiction levels using the Random Forest algorithm. The model incorporates variables such as daily usage hours, mental health scores, and conflicts caused by social media. The innovation of this approach lies in combining machine learning with interactive visualizations for real-time addiction prediction, providing a user-friendly, data-driven tool for early screening. Unlike traditional models that primarily rely on self-reported data or simple metrics, this method integrates multiple behavioral and psychological indicators to improve prediction accuracy. The model outperforms linear regression in all key metrics, achieving an R² value of 0.9903, which explains 99.03% of the variation in addiction scores. It also reports a low Mean Absolute Error (MAE) of 0.0370, Mean Squared Error (MSE) of 0.0244, and Root Mean Squared Error (RMSE) of 0.1561, highlighting its accuracy. Black-box testing showed an average error of just 0.354% in predictions and confirmed that the app’s features function effectively across devices. These findings emphasize the potential of this application as an effective tool for identifying students at risk of social media addiction, enabling timely interventions, and offering a foundation for future improvements through real-time data integration and advanced machine learning models.

Abstract

Abstract

Giving rewards to school students is one strategy to increase learning motivation and participation in school. However, the system used to give rewards is usually still conventional, so it often faces challenges in terms of objectivity and comprehensiveness of assessment criteria. This study aims to apply the K-Nearest Neighbor (KNN) algorithm as an optimization tool in determining student reward recipients in High Schools. The data used include the average report card value, moral values, parents' income, number of siblings and scores in non-academic activities. The KNN method was chosen because of its ability to classify based on the similarity of neighbor data. The research process begins with collecting historical student data, data normalization, determining the KNN model, and evaluating the model. The results of the study show that the KNN model is able to classify students with a certain level of accuracy in recommending the right reward category. The conclusion of this study is that the application of the KNN algorithm can provide a more structured and objective approach to the reward giving process, so that it can help schools make transparent decisions and in accordance with the principles of justice. This system is expected to increase the effectiveness of the reward program and encourage development for students. Keyword : K-Nearest Neighbor, Reward, Classification, Objectivity, Optimization

Abstract

This study aims to design and develop a web-based inventory management system utilizing the Always Better Control (ABC) method to assist Toko Didik in managing stock more efficiently. Until now, the inventory process in the store has been carried out manually using conventional record-keeping, which is prone to data entry errors, delays in stock monitoring, and the absence of a classification system to prioritize items based on their sales contribution. To address this problem,  the system was designed using the Waterfall development methodology, involving stages of requirements analysis, system design, implementation, and testing. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation conducted at the store site. The system was built using the Laravel framework and MySQL database, and includes key features such as item recording, automatic item classification using the ABC method, real-time stock monitoring, purchase recommendations, sales transactions, and sales reporting. The results of black-box testing indicate that all system functions operate as expected without errors. The ABC classification method successfully groups items into three categories based on their contribution to total sales, allowing the store owner to prioritize procurement effectively. With this system, inventory management becomes more organized, accurate, and supports data-driven decision-making. This study serve as an alternative solution for small or medium-sized stores in addressing inventory management challenges through the use of information systems.

Abstract

Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDes) face various governance challenges, weak internal audit mechanisms, limited community participation, to inadequate human resource capacity, all of which ultimately lead to a deficit of public trust in the management of village funds. The absence of clear financial reports, delays in information disclosure, and minimal community involvement have further fueled public suspicion, while weak internal auditing has allowed potential errors, inefficiencies, and even fraud to go undetected. To overcome these issues, a transformation in financial governance is required through the implementation of participatory accounting, which directly involves the community in financial recording, reporting, and evaluation. The collaboration between these two mechanisms will create a balanced synergy between openness and oversight, thereby encouraging the establishment of transparent, accountable, and sustainable BUMDes governance. This solution must be supported by enhancing the capacity of BUMDes managers through training, adopting digital systems to simplify financial reporting, and involving village community forums as platforms for public accountability. For effective implementation, village governments are advised to issue regulations mandating participatory accounting and internal audit practices, establish independent supervisory bodies that include community representatives, and gradually adopt simple and user-friendly digital financial technologies. Furthermore, BUMDes must cultivate an organizational culture grounded in openness, integrity, and collective responsibility so that transparency is not merely a formal procedure, but a value embedded in every aspect of village enterprise management.
