Abstract

A teacher must be able to develop teaching materials inlearning because it is a professional demand that can provide meaningfuland enjoyable learning. The purpose of this study was to describe theeffectiveness of developing graphic organizer teaching materials inreading in grade 4 of elementary school. The graphic organizer is alearning media used to read learning. This is a development research withconsisting of 4 stages namely defining, designing, developing, anddisseminating research results. Aspects namely need analysis and studentanalysis. In needs analysis, some analyzes were carried out coveringcurriculum, concepts, and assignments. While in the analysis of studentslooking at the suitability of teaching materials developed with the level ofdevelopment of students. The design phase of teaching materials wasmade to plan the implementation of learning indicators, the averageindicator was 95, and the learning objectives aspect was 93. Thedevelopment phase was tested in SDN 38 Kota Pekanbaru with anaverage reading ability of 87.5, so it can be concluded that theeffectiveness of teaching materials for graphic organizer in reading isvery decent to use.

Abstract

Digital platforms offer significant potential for creating value and enhancing customer engagement, which are crucial for SMEs. However, the adoption of digital marketing by SMEs remains limited, hindering their ability to fully leverage these benefits. This article aims to examine the role of online media marketing in increasing SME sales. A qualitative descriptive approach was employed to conduct this study. A thorough review of relevant literature, including books, papers, magazines, news items, websites, and other scholarly works, was a key step in data collection. The research methodology involved a comprehensive examination of existing literature, with a particular focus on gathering data from sources relevant to the current issue. The information presented here has undergone extensive verification and validation from multiple sources over a significant period. The analysis of various literature reveals that digital marketing is effective in boosting SME sales through platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, and Shopee. It enables SMEs to adopt flexible marketing strategies, reduce costs, and reach wider markets. Despite challenges like limited internet access and technological skill gaps, the benefits far outweigh the costs. This article acknowledges its limitation in not conducting direct research with SME practitioners. Nevertheless, it is expected to contribute to SMEs by encouraging them to utilize online media to enhance visibility, strengthen customer relationships, and achieve significant growth in competitive markets.

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian dan pengembangan research and development yang memiliki tujuan untuk mengembangkan suatu produk yaitu media pembelajaran Pop-Up Book berbasis etnomatematika  pada materi bangun datar untuk siswa   kelas IV Sekolah Dasar. Model pengembangan yang digunakan dalam penelitian dan pengembangan ini yaitu model 4-D. Model ini memiliki 4 tahapan yang dimulai dengan pendefinisian (define), perancangan (design), pengembangan (development) dan   penyebarluasan (desseminate). Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SD Negeri 79 Pekanbaru pada siswa kelas IV B semester genap tahun ajaran 2022/2023. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah wawancara, angket validasi dan angket praktikalitas. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan telah melalui proses validasi dengan validator, sedangkan penelitian akhir yang dilakukan menghasilkan sebuah produk berupa media pembelajaran Pop-Up Book berbasis etnomatematika pada materi bangun datar untuk siswa kelas IV sekolah dasar. Dari hasil validasi dan praktikalitas dapat disimpulkan bahwa media pembelajaran Pop-Up Book berbasis etnomatematika pada materi bangun datar untuk siswa kelas IV sekolah dasar dinyatakan sangat valid dan sangat layak digunakan.

Abstract

Radio as an important medium for delivering information and entertainment is facing increasingly intense competition in the media industry. This study aims to examine the direct influence of broadcast quality and brand image on listener loyalty to B'Due Radio, with listener satisfaction acting as a mediating variable. This study uses a quantitative approach with a survey method, distributing questionnaires to 90 B'Due Radio listeners, including teenagers, BKKBN activity group members, FP cadres, field officers, and employees. The data were analyzed through Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) using the Smart PLS-3 software. The results indicate that both broadcast quality and brand image directly affect listener satisfaction, which in turn is associated with greater listener loyalty. Additionally, listener satisfaction mediates the relationship between broadcast quality, brand image, and listener loyalty. The study faces several limitations, such as a small sample size and difficulties in generalizing the results to a wider population. Nonetheless, these findings offer valuable insights into the factors that drive listener loyalty in radio. The results of this study can serve as recommendations for B'Due Radio to enhance broadcast quality, strengthen brand image, and improve listener satisfaction to bolster listener loyalty.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan secara detail bagaimana tingkatan minat membaca kritis mahasiswa PPG PGSD Prajabatan Universitas Riau. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif deskriptif. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Kampus PPG Universitas Riau dengan melibatkan 208 sampel penelitian yaitu mahasiswa aktif PPG PGSD. Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini menggunakan kuesioner. Adapaun teknik analisis data yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini adalah menghitung persentase data dari setiap indikator, kemudian menginterpretasi skor persentase data dan menganalisis setiap indikatornya secara mendalam. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa tingkat minat membaca kritis mahasiswa PPG PGSD Prajabatan Universitas Riau adalah 95,43% dengan kategori sangat baik. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi bahan evaluasi berbagai pihak dalam tingkat minat membaca kritis di Universitas Riau, penelitian ini juga diharapkan dapat menjadi bahan kajian bagi peneliti lain dalam menganalisis dan mengembangkan tingkat minat membaca kritis mahasiswa dalam persiapan menjadi calon guru.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangan media big book berbasis kearifan lokal sebagai alat pendukung pembelajaran keterampilan membaca permulaan siswa kelas II SD Negeri 192 Pekanbaru. Tujuan penelitian ini mendeskripsikan kualitas, proses, dan efektivitas pengembangan media big book dalam pembelajaran membaca permulaan. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan penelitian Research and Development (R&D). dengan model pengembangan 4D yang terdiri dari 4 tahapan yaitu define, design, develop, and disseminate. Media big book yang dikembangkan diujicobakan kepada 5 orang siswa secara skala kecil dan 20 siswa secara skala luas. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, wawancara dan angket. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian hasil validasi ahli diperoleh 92,28% dengan kategori sangat valid. Dari hasil uji coba angket pada skala kecil rata-rata 89,99% dan uji coba lapangan rata-rata 86,52% dengan kategori sangat baik. Untuk keterampilan membaca permulaan pada uji coba kelompok kecil memperoleh nilai rata-rata 80% dengan nilai N-gain keseluruhan 72% kategori tinggi, sedangkan uji coba lapangan memperoleh nilai rata-rata 84,84% dengan nilai N-gain keseluruhan 70,60 kategori sedang.

Abstract

Reading comprehension is a substantial skill in elementary school. If children have the skill to read, facing other lesson would be easy. This study employs a quantitative descriptive method that aims at explaining numbers in words. The result showed that the average of students' reading skill after being exposed to graphic organizer-based reading comprehension teaching materials in determining the basic thoughts was of 63.75, and students' skill in explaining information was 71.04. At this stage, their skill was considered good enough, so that an improvement to design teaching materials and trainings should be facilitated for the teachers.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine sixth grade students’ misconception on the solar system. This study uses a sampling technique with a total sample of 88 students. This research uses the descriptive quantitative method. This research aims to describe the misconceptions on the material of the solar system in class 6 of public elementary school in Pekanbaru, data collection techniques using the Four Tier Test. The results showed that students' misconceptions were categorized as "medium" with an average of 47.58% of 88 students. The highest misconception on material related to the characteristics of stars with a misconception level of 67.61% with this level can be said that there are still many students who are investigated experiencing misconceptions. The lowest misconception is 27.27%, which is material about the sun as the center of the solar system.

Abstract

The background of this study is caused by third-grade students’ low learning outcome in SDN 161 Pekanbaru. It is indicated by their social science test scores from 24 students. A minimum completeness criterion in this school is 75, but the number of students who score above this criterion is 8 students, and 16 students are below the criteria. The average score is 66.46. To solve this problem, the researchers apply a talking stick cooperative learning model assisted by question box media. This model is believed in supporting teachers in improving the learning activities because it can build a better classroom atmosphere that triggers students’ spirit and make students more active to express their opinions. Media use also makes students more interested in the learning process and stimulate students' emotional and intellectual involvement. This study applies the classroom action research that consists of two cycles. The subject is the third-grade students at SDN 161 Pekanbaru. After the implementation of the classroom action research, students’ learning outcomes increase from 66.46 to 75.83 in the first cycle (increase 14.10%), and 82.92 in the second cycle (increase 24.77% from the initial score). So, the implementation of the talking stick cooperative learning model assisted by question box media can increase third-grade students’ social science learning outcomes in SDN 161 Pekanbaru

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the improvement of students' literacy and numeracy skills through the Teaching Campus Program Batch 8 at SDIT Al-Manar Pekanbaru. This program is part of an effort to improve the quality of education by involving university students as teachers in target schools. The study uses a descriptive qualitative research method with a case study approach. The research subjects consist of 10 participants. In this study, the primary instrument is the researcher themselves, and supporting instruments include observation, interviews, documentation, as well as pre-tests and post-tests from AKM. Data analysis techniques are carried out through data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the pre-test and post-test AKM show that students who achieved the "good" category in literacy increased from 46.67% to 60%, while in numeracy, the improvement was from 43.33% to 46.67%. The conclusion of this study indicates that the program successfully improved students' literacy and numeracy skills.
