Abstract

One important factor in achieving good quality value for a product in the machining process is to look at the level of roughness produced in the machining process. This research aims to determine the effect of feed depth and cutting speed on surface roughness. The process variables used in this research are feeding depth (mm) and cutting speed (m/min). Each variable has 3 levels, namely feeding depth of 0.5, 0.6 and 0.7 mm. Cutting speed 65, 70 and 75 m/min. In this research method, researchers used the full factorial method. The material used in this research is SKD 11 steel. The conclusion obtained from the research is that the minimum surface roughness is at a cutting depth of 0.6 mm with a cutting speed of 65 m/minute, with the average surface roughness value obtained being 0.883 (µm ). The maximum surface roughness is at a feed depth of 0.6 mm with a cutting speed of 70 m/minute with an average surface roughness value of 1.254 (µm).

Abstract

Gracilaria sp. merupakan rumput laut penghasil “agar”yang dapat diolah menjadi makanan, kosmetik, obat,bahan tambahan pengolahan tekstil dan cat. Budidaya Gracilaria sp. belum dilakukan di wilayah Pulau Sumbawa termasuk diantaranya Desa Kaung Kecamatan Buer Kabupaten Sumbawa yang memiliki area tambak yang potensial untuk budidaya Gracilaria sp. Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah memberikan pengetahuam dan keterampilan budidaya Gracilaria sp. di tambak bagi masyarakat Desa Kaung. Metode kegiatan ini adalah dengan cara menyampaikan dan praktek secara langsung teknik budidaya Gracilaria sp di tambak. Hasil kegiatan diantaranya adalah sosialisai tujuan dan manfaat kegiatan disampaikan secara langsung dan praktek secara langsung budidaya Gracilaria sp. di tambak. Kesimpulan kegiatan ini adalah pengetahuan dan teknologi budidaya Gracilaria sp di tambak telah diintroduksi ke masyarakat dan pembudidaya rumput laut di Desa Kaung.

Abstract

Regulations regarding mahram and the prohibition of intermarriage in Samosir Batak society are some of the important aspects that influence social life and marriage. The clan in the Samosir Batak tradition has a very central position, so the prohibition on intermarriage within the clan is regulated to maintain the purity of the lineage and social harmony. In Islamic law, the prohibition on intermarriage can be analogous to the prohibition against mahram, namely people who are forbidden to marry because of blood or marriage relations. This research aims to examine the relationship between mahram in Islamic law and the prohibition of intermarriage in Samosir Batak custom, as well as explore the similarities and differences between the two. The method used is descriptive qualitative with a normative approach. The research results show that there are similar goals between the two systems in protecting offspring and family honor. However, there are differences in determining which parties are considered mahram and semarga. This research suggests that there should be a deeper understanding of these two systems to create a balance between religious and customary law in Samosir Batak society. Even though there are differences in determining who is considered a mahram in Islamic law and who is considered a clan in Samosir Batak custom, these two systems have the same goals of maintaining family honor, protecting legitimate descendants, and preventing marriage within a close lineage. Socialization and Education require more intensive outreach efforts regarding the differences and similarities between mahram in Islamic law and the prohibition on intermarriage in Samosir Batak custom. This is important to provide a clear understanding to the community, especially the younger generation so that they can live their religious and traditional lives in harmony.

Abstract

The machining process in product manufacturing must meet several important criteria, including the product's outcome, accuracy, precision, quality, and quantity. Machine tools that have been used for a long period tend to experience a decline in performance, which can affect the machine's ability to produce products with the required quality, standard, or tolerance. The aim of this study is to evaluate the performance of a lathe machine that has been in use for approximately 10 years. As the machine ages, its performance may decrease, and optimal machine performance significantly influences the machining results. Therefore, an experiment was conducted to test the roundness deviation of the products produced through turning, by varying the spindle speed and depth of cut parameters, while keeping the feed rate constant. This study uses an experimental method to test and analyze machine performance based on the measurement of roundness deviations of the products. The material used was ST-41 steel with a diameter of Ø30 x 110 mm, and the cutting tool used was a Carbide Insert WNMG080404-TSF T9225G. Data on roundness was collected from products produced using the Bemato Series 44378 lathe machine with 9 test samples. Based on the test results, the highest roundness deviation found in BU 27 was 0.088 mm

Abstract

Budidaya rumput laut dapat dilakukan pada perairan yang memiliki kondisi lingkungan yang sesuai dengan habitat rumput laut. Kappaphycus alvarezii merupakan jenis rumput laut yang tergolong alga merah penghasil karaginan yang dibudidayakan di perairan Indonesia termasuk di Pulau Sumbawa. Budidaya rumput laut K.alvarezii mulai dilakukan kembali pada tahun 2020 di perairan pantai Jelenga yang terletak di Kabupaten Sumbawa Barat. Metode budidaya yang digunakan adalah metode patok dasar dengan memanfaatkan area pasang surut yang masih tetap terendam air pada saat surut terendah. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kondisi lingkungan perairan pantai Jelenga saat ini untuk area budidaya rumput laut K. alvarezii. Kondisi lingkungan tersebut diantaranya adalah kualitas air lokasi budidaya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode survei langsung di lokasi penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perairan pantai Jelenga memiliki kisaran suhu 29,2-29,8°C, pH 7,2-7,1, salinitas 32-34 ppt, oksigen terlarut 5,2-7,8 mg/L, nitrat 11-12,7 mg/L, fosfat 0,004-0,12 mg/L, dan kecepatan arus 7,2–16 cm/detik. Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah kondisi lingkungan perairan pantai Jelengah saat ini sesuai dengan lingkungan yang disayaratkan sebagai area budidaya rumput laut K alvarezii

Abstract

Abstract In digital era, digital marketing is one of the most effective ways to support marketing activities and increase sales. However, there are still many people who do not understand digital marketing, especially among women entrepreneurs in North Sumatra. Although they are accustomed to using social media as a communication medium, this habit must continue to be improved in developing their business marketing strategies. The lack of understanding of women entrepreneurs about digital marketing encourages community service activities to be carried out by delivering socialization and providing training on the use of information and communication technology. From the partner's problems obtained, the solution offered to partners is to provide material related to knowledge of digital marketing concepts and provide skills in the use and optimization of information technology products. The methods used in this activity are lectures, questions and answers, and simulations. The target to be achieved in this community service activity is the implementation of the introduction and optimal utilization of digital marketing in an effort to increase sales for women entrepreneurs in North Sumatra who are members of several women entrepreneurial communities. Keywords: Digital Marketing, Womenpreneurs, Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Abstrak Di era yang serba digital, digital marketing merupakan salah satu cara paling efektif untuk mendukung kegiatan pemasaran dan meningkatkan penjualan. Walau demikian, masih banyak orang yang belum memahami mengenai digital marketing khususnya di lingkungan wirausaha perempuan di Sumatera Utara.Walaupun mereka sudah terbiasa menggunakan media sosial sebagai media komunikasi tetapi kebiasaan ini harus terus ditingkatkan penggunaannya dalam mengembangkan strategi pemasaran usahanya. Kurangnya pemahaman wirausaha perempuan mengenai digital marketing mendorong untuk dilakukan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat dengan cara menyampaikan sosialisasi dan memberikan pelatihan mengenai penggunaan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi. Dari permasalahan mitra yang didapatkan maka solusi yang ditawarkan kepada mitra adalah dengan memberikan materi terkait pengetahuan tentang konsep digital marketing dan memberikan keterampilan dalam penggunaan dan optimalisasi produk teknologi informasi. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini adalah ceramah, tanya jawab, dan simulasi. Adapun target yang ingin dicapai dalam kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah pelaksanaan pengenalan dan pemanfaatan secara optimal digital marketing dalam upaya meningkatkan penjualan bagi wirausaha perempuan di Sumatera Utara yang tergabung dalam beberapa komunitas wirausaha perempuan. Abstract

Digital transformation is a strategic key for companies in improving the quality of public services, including in the electricity sector. This study aims to analyze the effect of digital technology implementation and innovation management on customer service, with the innovation of the Electricity Loss Application as an intervening variable at PT PLN (Persero) ULP Bukittinggi. The research method used is a quantitative approach with an associative causal design, involving 100 respondents who are active customers using the Electricity Loss Application. Data analysis was carried out using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) based on Partial Least Squares (SmartPLS 4.0). The results showed that the application of digital technology had no significant direct effect on customer service. However, digital technology has a positive and significant effect on application innovation. Innovation management is proven to have a direct and indirect effect on customer service, through the innovation of the Electricity Loss Application as a mediating variable. This application innovation is proven to significantly mediate the effect between technology implementation and innovation management on improving customer service. These findings confirm that the success of digital transformation in public services is highly dependent on the existence of digital innovations that meet user needs.Therefore, the Electricity Loss Application can be an effective digital technology-based service innovation model in improving the quality of services in the electricity sector.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of service quality, price, and customer trust on customer satisfaction at Haji Mahmud Mushroom Chicken Noodles in Medan. The research uses a quantitative approach with a survey method. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 100 respondents who are customers of the restaurant. The data were then analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis to examine the relationship between the independent variables (service quality, price, and trust) and the dependent variable (customer satisfaction). The results of the analysis show that service quality, price, and customer trust have a positive and significant effect on customer satisfaction either partially or simultaneously. Among the three variables, customer trust has the most dominant influence on satisfaction. These findings indicate that maintaining service quality, offering competitive prices, and building customer trust are crucial strategies to enhance satisfaction and customer loyalty at Haji Mahmud Mushroom Chicken Noodles Medan.

Abstract

Animal feed is an important factor that must be considered to increase the productivity of providing green fodder both in quality and quantity, where in the provision of cattle feed is still done manually using hands with the help of machetes and sickles to chop the feed, especially for cattle breeders of the Puding Jaya II Farmer Group in Puding Village, Merawang District, Bangka Regency. The purpose of this study is to assist in the processing of livestock feed conventionally or manually by designing a chopping machine so that it can make its own cemboran and chopped feed using available materials such as special grass leaves for cattle feed or oil palm leaves so that they are easy for cattle to chew. The method used starts from designing a chopping machine that can be used as a chopping tool for raw materials for livestock feed in the form of odot plants, Indigofera, Chinese petai, jackfruit leaves, elephant grass, palm fronds and leaves which are favorite green fodder for cattle so that it is expected to lighten the burden and make it easier for cattle breeders to get livestock feed that is ready to be eaten by cattle. in an effort to increase livestock feed production can increase as expected to reach 200-300 percent.
