Abstract

Indonesia possesses a rich cultural heritage consisting of both tangible and intangible artifacts that continue to exist in the present day. This cultural heritage has significantly contributed to the advancement of human civilization, encompassing economic, social, and scientific dimensions. This study seeks to examine the state's involvement in safeguarding cultural assets in Bone Regency, located in South Sulawesi, Indonesia. The article employs an empirical research methodology that applies both the constitutional law and the Islamic law. Data were gathered by comprehensive interviews, direct observation, and the collection of relevant documents. The sources for the study included the tourism office, members of the People's Representative Council (DPR), as well as religious and community leaders. The investigated papers consisted of legal regulations, including laws, regulations, and relevant journal articles. The findings indicate that the government plays a crucial role in the protection of the cultural assets in Bone Regency. Within the realm of the constitutional law, the government has enacted Law No. 11 of 2010, which pertains to Cultural Heritage. Similarly, the Bone Regency government has also enacted Regional Regulation No. 7 of 2020, which concerns the Preservation and Management of Cultural Heritage. To enforce this protection, many cultural legacies have been designated, such as the burial grounds of the Bone monarchs and significant cultural and historical locations. Within the framework of the Islamic law, the preservation of cultural assets is considered advantageous. The advantages derived from cultural heritage include the reinforcement of national identity and character, historical education, the promotion of tourism attractions, and the provision of a religious lesson for present and future generations.

Abstract

Gambas is a plant that has several advantages. It contains protein, fat, carbohydrate, fiber and sugar which make it beneficial for people who consume it. In order to increase growth and production, fertilizer plays an important role in supplying the minerals or nutrients needed by plants. Manure, which is a mixture of solid dung, urine, and (plant) food waste, plays a very important role as a food source for soil organisms. Due to the various benefits and high economic value of the gambas plant, numerous efforts have been made to increase productivity and suppress the growth of pathogens that can interfere with gambas growth, one of which is the use of biological agents. The biological agents commonly used are from the fungi group. Trichoderma harzianum is one type of fungi that can be used as a biological agent. This study used a factorial group design consisting of two factors, with a 4x3 factorial pattern and 3 replications. The factors studied included types of manure and doses of Trichoderma fertilizer, which consisted of 12 levels, namely K0= control (un-fertilizer), K1= Goat Manure (2 kg/plot), K2= Chicken Manure (2 kg/plot), K3= Cow Manure (2 kg/plot), while the Trichoderma Fertilizer Factor (M) consisted of 3 levels, namely M0= Control, M1= Trichoderma (5 g/plot), M2= Trichoderma (10 g/plot). The results showed that the application of manure and Trichoderma koningii fertilizer had a significant effect on plant height, number of leaves and fruit weight of the sample/plot, which indicates that the application of both types of fertilizers can increase the content of organic matter in the soil.

Abstract

This article aims to explore whether Aceh's special autonomy has served more as a bridge to reconciliation or as a source of new tensions in the region. The article will examine various aspects of the implementation of special autonomy in Aceh, including the political, social and economic dynamics that accompanied it. The research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. Through a comprehensive analysis, it is found that Aceh's special autonomy is a complex concept with various accompanying dynamics. On the one hand, special autonomy can serve as a bridge to reconciliation by providing space for the people of Aceh to express their identity and be involved in decision-making processes. However, on the other hand, special autonomy can also be a source of new tensions due to different interpretations of authority, conflicts of interest among local elites, and unresolved welfare issues. The challenges and dynamics of special autonomy in Aceh after the Helsinki MoU demonstrate the complexity of the situation faced by the province. While there are challenges in implementing special autonomy, there are also opportunities to strengthen democratic processes, economic empowerment, and socio-cultural integration in Aceh.

The purpose of this study was to determine what factors influence the application of the concept of sharia economics in coastal areas seen from internal and external factors. This study is a quantitative study. The respondents in this study were 300 people in the Meranti Islands who were already working. The data analysis technique used was multiple linear regression using the SEM-PLS model. The results of this study showed that the variables of education and skills, personality and motivation, social and economic, environment, and technology and information had a direct and significant effect on the application of the sharia concept in the coastal areas of the Meranti Islands. while the variables of policy and regulation did not have a direct and significant effect on the application of the sharia concept in the coastal areas of Meranti Regency.

Abstract

This research examined meunasah as the social capital in implementing Islamic law in Aceh. It aimed to explain the social capital of meunasah concerning its role and functions in supporting the Islamic law implementation in Aceh. This research has its root in studying the sociology of law, emphasizing the empirical legal analysis within the society. The researchers used social capital, which consisted of cognitive and structural aspects as a theoretical framework, and interviews, literature study, and observation, as the data collection methods. This study found that meunasah had a central position in Acehnese society as a center for religious activities, a place to learn the Qur’an, social activities, and as a customary institution. Since time immemorial, meunasah has played a central role as a center for community activities at the gampong level. Even though meunasah had transformed itself into a mosque in urban areas, its function and role remained as a place for internalizing the Islamic law principles, as a medium for socializing Islamic law, and as a center for religious, social activities. This study argues that meunasah can still be the ‘glue’ of social networks with its religious, social, and customary values as a cognitive, social capital. On another side, imuem meunasah can be considered a structural social capital. Meunasah, as part of social institutions, can support social order and order, which is a social function of law. Without the support of meunasah as a cognitive social capital, the researchers argue that Islamic law will be difficult to be internalized in society.

Abstract

Rubber plants (Hevea brasiliensis) will experience a decrease in production as plants age and the nutrient content in the soil decreases. This study aims to find out the chemical properties of soil on plantations of rubber crops that are converted into palm and coconut crops. The research was conducted from October 2023 to January 2024 at the palm coconut plantation of PTPN III Aek Nabara North Garden in Labuhanbatu district and analyzed in the Land Laboratory of the Faculty of Agriculture of the University of Northern Sumatra. The methods used are observation methods, field sampling, and analysis in the laboratory to obtain quantitative data. Observation parameters include soil pH, C-organic, Total Nitrogen, Available P, Cation Interchange Capacity, and Base Fulness. The results of the survey showed that the level of soil fertility at the site of the research was included in the low category. The main limiting factor that causes the low fertility of the soil is the low content of organic material in the soil. In order to improve the fertility status of the ground at the research site for further planting, it is necessary to make efforts such as irrigation and fertilization, as well as the addition of organic materials, to make the availability of nutrients for plants more affordable.
