Abstract

This study describes applying the flipped classroom learning model to Islamic religious education (PAI) subjects at the Darul Abidin Integrated Islamic Primary School, Depok. This study uses a descriptive qualitative research type. The study results indicate that the PAI learning process with the flipped classroom learning model has been integrated with the learning characteristics of the Integrated Islamic School Network (JSIT), namely 'integrated' learning. The learning activities are divided into two forms, namely independent learning at home and learning in class, both virtual-zoom categories and limited face-to-face meeting classes. The support system for learning activities is quite diverse, consisting of the availability of e-learning, the use of various platforms such as Zoom Meetings and Quizizz, and the use of different learning resources such as interactive learning videos and subject matter in the form of powerpoint, and textbooks. ABSTRAK Kajian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penerapan model pembelajaran kelas terbalik pada mata pelajaran pendidikan agama Islam (PAI) di Sekolah Dasar Islam Terpadu Darul Abidin Depok. Kajian ini mengggunakan jenis penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa proses pembelajaran PAI dengan model pembelajaran kelas terbalik telah terintegrasi dengan karakteristik pembelajaran jaringan sekolah Islam terpadu (JSIT), yakni pembelajaran ‘terpadu’. Aktivitas pembelajaran yang terbangun terbagi menjadi dua bentuk yaitu pembelajaran mandiri di rumah dan pembelajaran di kelas baik kelas virtual-zoom maupun kelas pertemuan tatap muka terbatas. Sistem pendukung aktivitas pembelajaran cukup beragam yang terdiri dari ketersediaan e-learning, pemanfaatan beragam platform seperti zoom meeting dan quizizz, serta pemanfaatan beragam sumber belajar seperti video pembelajaran interaktif, materi pelajaran dalam bentuk powerpoint, dan buku teks.

Abstract

Tulisan ini mengkaji motivasi peziarah makam Syaikh Syamsuddin al-Wasil yang memfokuskan pada tiga pertanyaan pokok. Pertama, apa yang mendorong peziarah datang ke makam Syaikh Syamsuddin al-Wasil? Kedua, apa yang yang dibutuhkan peziarah sehingga datang ke makam Syaikh Syamsuddin al-Wasil? Ketiga, apa yang mendasari peziarah berziarah di makam Syaikh Syamsuddin al-Wasil? Hasil penelitian ini menemukan bahwa motif peziarah datang ke makam ada dua yakni Pertama, motif intrinsik berupa kerentek (keinginan hati), kedua motif ekstrinsik berupa dorongan ajaran para guru peziarah, dan atas dorongan lain berupa pemenuhan tiga kebutuhan lain yaitu kebutuhan mendekatkan diri kepada Allah, kebutuhan spiritual, dan harapan terwujudnya do'a. Ketiga, makam Syaikh Syamsuddin al-Wasil memiliki daya yang kuat untuk berdo'a dan pasti akan terkabul do'a tersebut. Do'a akan tersampaikan pada Allah dengan lantaran Syaikh Syamsuddin al-Wasil.

Abstract

The rapid development of technology and globalization significantly affects the quality of educational institutions, particularly the quality of education at Ma'had Aly, which is steeped in the salaf traditions. To ensure the quality of education at Ma'had Aly can keep pace with the needs of the times, educational modernization is necessary by adapting and integrating technology with tradition. Every new change will inevitably face various challenges and problems. This article aims to describe the various challenges and innovations in modernizing education. This study uses a descriptive qualitative research method at Ma'had Aly Lirboyo Kediri. This study found that Ma'had Aly Lirboyo has endeavored to modernize its education despite facing various challenges. In addition to challenges, the educational modernization at Ma'had Aly Lirboyo also creates opportunities to improve its quality and relevance to societal needs and contemporary challenges. Forms of modernization and innovation include the use of technology during lectures, innovative curriculum development, the use of active learning strategies, collaboration with other universities both domestically and internationally, development of research and community service, the use of social media and digital platforms, and the development of information systems. It can be concluded that by utilizing challenges and opportunities and efforts to overcome them, Ma'had Aly Lirboyo can improve the quality of education following current developments and increase the relevance of education for students.

Abstract

Shaping nationalist attitudes and moderate religious understanding in pesantren (Islamic boarding schools) is based on studying from the Kitab Kuning (classical Islamic textbooks written in Arabic). This paper explores nationalism values in the salafiyah pesantren traditions and brings them into the concept of religious moderation. This study employed a qualitative research method with a case study approach. Pesantren head and families, old alumni, and asatiz (pesantren teachers) of the salafiyah pesantren volunteered to participate. Secondary data were garnered through documents in the form of the kiai’s handwriting and old photographs in terms of the pesantren tradition practices. The study findings indicate two distinctive pesantren traditions, i.e., the qasidah (a traditional Islamic music performance) tradition and the Indonesian Independence Day ceremony. The two traditions contain nationalist values and meanings taught to santri (pesantren students) and have been going on for over half a century. This proves that nationalism education in salafiyah pesantren has a distinctive model. Therefore, nationalism education practices in pesantren have two essential contributions to national unity and integrity: strengthening santri nationalism and moderate religious understanding and practice.
