Abstract

Limbah dari kulit nanas akan berbahaya jika tidak ditangani secara benar. Salah satu alternatif pengolahan limbah kulit nanas yang di lakukan adalah dengan menjadikannya produk yang berguna dan memiliki nilai ekonomis yaitu menjadi plastik biodegradable, karena kulit nanas mengandung selulosan dan zat gula sebesar 52,05% (Antika dan Puji, 2017). Plastik biodegradable merupakan plastik yang dapat diuraikan oleh mikroorganisme serta ramah lingkungan. Pemanfaatan kitosan sebagai bahan tambahan untuk pembuatan plastic biodegradable berfungsi untuk memperbaiki lembar plastic yang dihasilkan dan juga sebagai bahan pengawet. Penambahan gliserol juga digunakan sebagai bahan pemlastis karena tanpa penambahan gliserol lembar plastik yang dihasilkan akan keras dan kaku. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuat produk plastik biodegradable dan mengetahui pengaruh penambahan kitosan (0%, 3%, 4% dan 5%) serta menganalisa karakteristik yang meliputi kuat tarik, pemanjangan, dan ketahanan air. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukan plastik biodegradable optimum diperoleh dari penambahan kitosan 5% dengan nilai kuat tarik 175,17 N/mm², pemanjangan 4%, dan ketahanan air 28,5%. Dengan penambahan kitosan yang lebih banyak dan terukur, berpengaruh kepada kualitas dari plastik biodegradable yang diproduksi.

Abstract

This study aims to describe and analyze the role of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers in instilling Islamic-based tolerance values ​​in Elementary Madrasahs located in areas with a non-Muslim majority, precisely in MIS Muhammadiyah Gunungsitoli, Nias. This study uses a qualitative approach with a phenomenological method. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews with teachers, madrasah principals, and students, as well as documentation studies. The results of the study indicate that PAI teachers design learning that systematically integrates tolerance values ​​through lesson plan planning, the use of exemplary stories of the Prophet Muhammad SAW, and student social activities. The implementation process takes place through a dialogical, contextual approach, and the habituation of tolerant attitudes in everyday life. The obstacles faced include the stereotypical views of society towards madrasahs, limited learning resources that discuss diversity, and the diverse family backgrounds of students. These findings indicate that PAI teachers have a strategic role as agents of religious moderation in the educational environment. The novelty of this study lies in the context of the location in a Muslim minority area and the phenomenological approach that explores the teacher's direct experience in instilling tolerance. This research contributes to the development of an inclusive Islamic education model that is responsive to the multicultural realities of Indonesian society.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi pada era Society 5.0 menuntut guru tidak hanya menguasai kompetensi pedagogik, tetapi juga menjaga etika profesi dalam praktik mengajar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran etika profesi dalam menjaga marwah pendidik di tengah tantangan digitalisasi pendidikan. Pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif digunakan dalam penelitian ini, dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa studi literatur, observasi, dan wawancara mendalam terhadap 10 informan yang terdiri dari guru dan praktisi pendidikan. Analisis data dilakukan melalui tahapan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penguatan nilai-nilai etika seperti kejujuran, tanggung jawab, dan keteladanan sangat penting dalam membentuk profesionalisme guru dan budaya positif di lingkungan sekolah. Kendala yang dihadapi meliputi rendahnya kesadaran etis, kurangnya pembinaan, dan pengaruh tekanan eksternal dari sistem pendidikan. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa penerapan etika profesi secara konsisten berkontribusi dalam menciptakan pendidikan yang bermartabat dan relevan dengan perkembangan zaman. Kontribusi teoritisnya memperkaya kajian etika dalam profesi kependidikan, sementara secara praktis, temuan ini menjadi dasar dalam merumuskan kebijakan pembinaan guru berbasis nilai moral dan profesionalisme.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengeksplorasi potensi pemanfaatan limbah bonggol jagung menjadi briket arang dengan menganalisis pengaruh temperatur karbonisasi dan rasio perekat lem kayu terhadap sifat fisik dan kimia briket. Mengatasi kesenjangan dalam pemanfaatan limbah biomassa, penelitian ini mengoptimalkan temperatur karbonisasi (200°C hingga 400°C) dan rasio perekat (1:1, 1,5:1, dan 2:1) untuk meningkatkan efisiensi bahan bakar dan stabilitas struktur. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa temperatur karbonisasi 400°C dengan rasio perekat 1:1 menghasilkan briket dengan kadar air terendah (3,9%) dan kadar abu terendah (2,9%), serta nilai kalor tertinggi (6172 cal/g). Temuan ini menunjukkan potensi briket bonggol jagung sebagai sumber energi alternatif yang berkelanjutan dan berkualitas tinggi. Penelitian selanjutnya disarankan untuk mengeksplorasi jenis perekat tambahan dan rentang suhu yang lebih luas guna menyempurnakan proses produksi dan memaksimalkan kinerja bahan bakar.

Abstract

This study explores the transformative role of instructional design in developing tactical and strategic skills among wrestlers. The investigation delves into critical instructional design principles, including establishing clear learning objectives and developing structured learning materials. Additionally, it examines technology integration, such as virtual applications and video analysis, and the motivational factors essential for practical skill development. A comprehensive case study illustrates the practical application of instructional design principles in a wrestling training program. The analysis not only evaluates changes in tactical and strategic skills but also considers the holistic impact on overall athlete outcomes. Findings emphasize the multifaceted benefits of instructional design, influencing physical conditioning, mental resilience, and match performance. Decision-making under pressure and adaptability during live competition are qualitative dimensions shaped by instructional design strategies. As wrestling continues to evolve, this study underscores the indispensable role of instructional design in optimizing the learning experience and maximizing athletes' potential in this demanding sport.

Abstract

Lemongrass (Cymbopogon citratus) is a family medicinal herb commonly used as a kitchen spice. Lemongrass contains essential oils such as citral, myrcene, geraniol, citronellol, and α-oxo bisabolene that have a high-selling value and benefits as a fungal growth inhibitor, antibacterial, anti-insect, and anti-cancer. Socialization about the benefits of lemongrass essential oils and training on producing its essential oils was conducted through community service. The activity material was delivered through a presentation, and training in processing lemongrass to essential oils was conducted through a demo activity directly in front of participants. This community service activity was held in the Plaju Darat urban village meeting hall involving family welfare empowerment representatives, the head of the neighborhood, and the urban village community as participants. Pre-tests and post-tests were given to participants to determine the level of their understanding of the material presented. The test results improved participants’ understanding of the benefits of essential oils and their processing methods. It was concluded that participants understood the benefits of lemongrass essential oils and knew how to produce them.

Abstract

An organization's and management's success is greatly dependent on its leadership. The force that guides an organization's members' efforts toward achieving its objectives is known as leadership. For a company to compete successfully, good leadership is said to bind, harmonize, and encourage the potential of organizational resources. Higher education organizations must have collaborative leadership to monitor societal developments constantly. Higher education institutions are required to be able to adapt to various theoretical developments and institutional management concepts that continue to develop which can impact the development of higher education organizations in an even better direction. It is imperative and necessary to have highly competitive higher education institutions. Every university aspires to have a highly competitive university, but this is a difficult goal to realize. Optimizing the leadership role is crucial to reaching this objective. The notion of collaborative leadership, including academic leadership, the connection between quality and leadership in higher education, leadership theory, quality-based leadership, leadership and change in higher education, leadership as a tool to boost competition, and factors that affect collaborative leadership are all covered at the outset of the discussion. Through a literature review, descriptive-analytic techniques were employed in this qualitative research approach.

Abstract

The increasing phenomenon of genital reassignment surgery in the modern era has sparked debate between medical necessity and Islamic legal principles. In the field of contemporary fiqh, this issue is crucial to study as it relates to preserving the natural disposition (fitrah) created by Allah and ensuring human well-being (maslahah). The aim of this research is to examine contemporary fiqh perspectives on the legal rulings regarding genital reassignment surgery and to distinguish between medically permissible procedures and those prohibited due to personal motives. Using a literature study method and a descriptive approach, this study explores various scholarly sources, including journals, books, and articles, to highlight the importance of contemporary fiqh views on genital surgery. The findings indicate that Islam permits genital surgery when intended for healing or correcting congenital abnormalities (khuntsa) and restoring organ function, but prohibits it when performed solely to change one’s gender identity. Based on the 1980 fatwa issued by the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI), such procedures do not alter a person’s legal gender status. Therefore, contemporary fiqh emphasizes the importance of maintaining a balance between advancements in medical science and the principles of Sharia in determining the legal status of genital surgery.
