Abstract

This study aims to increase the learning interest of grade VII B students at the UPTD of SMP Negeri 5 Gunungsitoli. The action carried out involved the implementation of Wordwall-based learning media into Pancasila and Citizenship Education (PPKn) during the 2025/2026 academic year. The method used adopted a Classroom Action Research (CAR) design that included two cycles involving 30 students as participants. Data collection techniques included observation of teacher activities and student responses, formative essay tests, and visual documentation of activities. Initial data from the first cycle indicated that teacher competence in operating Wordwall was still low, namely 57.17%. This situation correlated with student interest recorded at 50.94% and an average score of 64.62, with a learning completion rate of only 40%. Conversely, after reflection and strategy adjustments in Cycle II, there was a significant increase. Teachers' mastery of media increased dramatically to 89.16% (very good category), student interest surged to 88.01%, and the average student score reached 83.58, representing 100% learning completion. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the use of Wordwall media has proven effective in improving the learning interest of grade VII B students at the UPTD SMP Negeri 5 Gunungsitoli. This is evidenced by the consistent improvement in learning quality from the initial to the final stages of the study.
