Abstract

Tuban Station is located in Tuban Regency. According to the National Railway Master Plan of 2018 and Presidential Regulation No. 80 of 2019, the Jombang – Babat – Tuban route is included in the reactivation plan aimed at promoting equitable development and accelerating growth in the Gerbang Kertosusila region. This reactivation project will involve the renovation of Tuban Station, a cultural heritage building over 50 years old, to serve as a boarding and alighting point for passengers traveling through Tuban. Tuban Station is one of the few remaining stations along the Jombang – Babat – Tuban route. Currently, the station is being utilized by the local community as a culinary center. The objective of this study is to design the heritage building of Tuban Station in accordance with its designated class and the layout requirements specified in Minister of Transportation Regulation No. 33 of 2011 and Ministerial Regulation No. 29 of 2011, while preserving its original historical appearance. The design process for Tuban Station follows the Station Standardization Book of 2012, employing AutoCAD for 2D designs and Google SketchUp for 3D modeling. The outcome of this research includes the working drawings and 3D design of Tuban Station, fully complying with the classification outlined in the Station Standardization Book of 2012.

Abstract

Indonesia’s location within the Pacific Ring of Fire makes it highly vulnerable to natural disasters such as earthquakes, floods, and landslides. This study analyzes disaster vulnerability along the planned Phase I route of the Bandung–Cirebon High-Speed Railway (Rancaekek–Cimalaka) using Geographic Information System (GIS) tools. The analysis includes hazard mapping for landslides, floods, and earthquakes, as well as multi-hazard classification and accuracy assessment. Results show 73 high-risk landslide points, 20 earthquake-prone locations, and 47 multi-hazard zones, primarily concentrated in segments DK 1–5, DK 10–32, and DK 29–33. These findings underscore the need for targeted mitigation and resilient infrastructure planning.

Abstract

Railway technology is increasingly developing and the railway mode is quite a lot of interest by the public with its various advantages making trains an interesting topic for learning materials. Railway safety also needs to be introduced to the community early on. Therefore, socialization related to railway modes and railway safety was carried out to preschool students, namely PAUD “Kasih Ibu” Madiun city students. In addition to introducing railway transportation, this socialization activity also supports the achievement of Learning Outcomes in PAUD, namely the basics of literacy, mathematics, science, technology, engineering and art. The material was delivered with flashcards containing pictures and words about railroad facilities, railroad infrastructure, crew of railroad facilities and railroad safety signs. The evaluation of the activity showed that the average understanding of the socialization participants of the material presented was 80%.

Abstract

Ciamis Station is one of the train stations located on the Bandung-Banjar railway route. This station needs facility improvement to meet the standard of a medium-class rail station. The purpose of this research is to identify the existing conditions of Ciamis Station, determine the class of Ciamis Station according to PM 33 of 2011, analyze the compliance of station standards according to PM 29 of 2011, redesign the station, and calculate the quantity of work with industrialist concept approach. Field survey data is used as primary data in the study. Passenger volume and existing floor plan are secondary data used in the analysis. Ciamis Station redesign planning is carried out to improve and develop Ciamis Station to increase the facilities using the Autodesk Revit application. Output results are in the form of layout, 3-dimensional views, and interiors of rooms, according to PM 63 of 2019 and the Railway Station Standardization Book. The result of the floor area for constructing the Ciamis Station room is 1.178 m2. The industrialist design concept uses materials, color, interior, and exposure of the station building. The result also shows the estimation of quantities for the construction process.

Abstract

The high-speed railway line has great potential to increase economic growth in the area through which it passes, especially the area that is a transit point or stop of the train. In accordance with the National Railway Master Plan (RIPNAS) the development of high-speed railways in Indonesia will continue to the city of Surabaya. The purpose of this research is to plan the Cirebon-Semarang Phase I (Cirebon-Semarang) high-speed railway with reference to the starting point of research from previous studies. The data needed are land use, disaster, and topography data as secondary data that are processed using ArcGIS 10.8. This research is including the selection of the best traces using simple multi-criteria analysis. The alternative that was selected as the best alternative route from the results of a simple multi-criteria analysis is alternative 2 with a route length of 43.2 km.

Abstract

This research analyzes the service life of rails on rail replacement on urban railway arches, with a focus on the Fatmawati MRT Jakarta arch. Due to the high frequency of train traffic in urban areas and curve radii that do not comply with standards, the rails on the Fatmawati curve experience significant wear. This research uses the AREA method to estimate the service life of rails based on the wear that occurs. The data collected includes the number of daily train trips and regular measurements of track wear. Analysis results show that rail wear on the Fatmawati curve is increasing, reaching a critical point in April 2029, where the rails are projected to have to be replaced. Using forecasting methods square train and least square, it is predicted that by April 2029, the numberof daily trips will decrease to 239 trips, and rail wear will reach 15.85 mm. This research provides recommendations for rail replacements to be carried out in accordance with predicted results to avoid further damage and maintain the operational safety of MRT Jakarta.

Abstract

The development of high-speed rail (HSR) infrastructure in Indonesia, particularly along the Bandung–Cirebon corridor, required precise geometric planning to ensure operational efficiency, safety, and long-term performance. This study aimed to design an optimized alignment for the Phase III segment between Ligung and Tengahtani by integrating engineering criteria with spatial and environmental constraints. A descriptive-analytic method was employed, combining field surveys, Digital Elevation Model Nasional (DEMNAS) data, and spatial planning documents, which were processed using Global Mapper and AutoCAD Civil 3D to generate alignment models, earthwork calculations, and spatial risk assessments. The proposed design featured five main horizontal curves with radii ranging from 2,500 to 12,000 meters and fourteen vertical curves with a constant 25,000-meter radius, meeting technical standards for a maximum operational speed of 350 km/h. Earthwork estimation yielded approximately 4.82 million m³ of excavation and 47,208 m³ of fill, while land acquisition requirements totaled around 1.83 million m², primarily affecting agricultural and residential zones. Spatial analysis identified 1.64 million m² of the proposed corridor as being located in moderate- to high-seismic-hazard zones, emphasizing the need for structural mitigation strategies and geotechnical monitoring. The findings highlighted the critical importance of integrating geometric design with topographical and hazard data in planning resilient HSR infrastructure. This study provided a replicable framework for railway alignment in complex terrain and supported sustainable transportation development in Indonesia’s rapidly evolving intercity network.
