Abstract

This research aims to test how much influence school support has on students' interest in participating in extracurricular activities at SDIT Al-Izzah Serang City. Students' interest in participating in extracurricular activities is very important because it is the initial encouragement for students to develop interests and talents. School support, which includes the provision of facilities, competent supervisors, programmed activities, as well as motivation and appreciation, plays an important role in increasing student interest. The research method used is quantitative correlational with simple linear regression analysis. Data was collected through a questionnaire distributed to 51 class IV students. Research results show that there is a significant positive influence between school support and students' interest in participating in extracurriculars. As much as 43.5% of student interest is influenced by school support. These findings indicate that increasing school support can be an effective strategy to increase student interest in extracurricular activities. Schools need to pay attention to the quality of facilities, accompanying competence, and provide more optimal motivation and appreciation to students. The results of this research are expected to provide an understanding of the factors that can affect students' interest in participating in extracurriculars. The results of this research can be a consideration for schools, especially SDIT Al-Izzah, in an effort to improve the quality of extracurricular programs and encourage students to participate more actively.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the strategy in combined character education for children with special needs and normal children at Cilegon Civilization Elementary School which includes the cognitive domain or knowledge of morals, the affective domain or moral awareness, and the psychomotor domain or moral action as well as knowing the supporting and inhibiting factors in these character education activities. This study uses qualitative research methods that allow researchers to describe the state of character education in schools. Based on the research findings, it is found that the teacher's strategy in the cognitive domain includes planning through lesson plans that are tailored to the needs, implementation through grouping students based on multiple intelligences, adding shadows for children with special needs, and methods used such as storytelling methods, projects, learning outside the classroom, and linking learning materials with verses of the Koran and hadiths, and evaluation using the 2013 curriculum focuses on character education. While the inhibiting factors are divided into 2, namely internal and external. The internal ones are the heterogeneity of students in one class, and the lack of human resources capable of handling students with severe special needs. The external ones are Judgement from the environment and large operational costs.

Abstract

Karakter dikehidupan saat ini sangatlah menggelisahkan terutama di dunia pendidikan oleh karena itu perlu edukasi sejak dini setelah banyak kejahatan yang saat ini beredar, baik di platform media masa (offline) ataupun (online). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memastikan bagaimana penanaman nilai karakter dapat diterapkan melalui pendidikan pancasila era society 5.0 di sekolah dasar provinsi Banten. Metodologi penelitian kualitatif diterapkan dengan model penelitian lapangan (field research) dan studi kasus deskriptif, metode ini menghasilkan data deskriptif dari pengamatan langsung, wawancara, serta dokumentasi. Dari hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa penanaman nilai karakter melalui pembelajaran pendidikan pancasila era society 5.0 di sekolah dasar provinsi banten sangat memberikan dampak yang besar bagi pembentukan karakter generasi muda yang berakhlak kuat dan mampu menghadapi tantangan zaman. Implementasi nilai karakter dilakukan melalui tiga aspek utama: moral knowing (pengetahuan moral), moral feeling (perasaan moral) dan moral behavior (perilaku moral), yang diwujudkan dalam kegiatan belajar mengajar, kegiatan ekstrakurikuler dan interaksi sosial. Penelitian ini juga di harapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi pada pengembangan pendidikan karakter di sekolah dan membantu guru dan orang tua dalam mengembangkan nilai karakter pada siswa.

Abstract

The quality of learning at the elementary school level in Indonesia continues to face various challenges, one of which is the dominance of traditional teacher-centered instructional methods, resulting in low student motivation, participation, and critical thinking skills. This study aims to explore and analyze the effectiveness of implementing active and innovative learning methods that are relevant in the context of primary education to enhance learning quality. A library research method was employed by analyzing various scholarly articles and documents related to active and innovative learning in elementary schools. The findings indicate that instructional strategies such as Project-Based Learning, Problem-Based Learning, Discovery Learning, and cooperative approaches like Think-Pair-Share have proven effective in improving learning outcomes, critical thinking skills, creativity, and student motivation. Additionally, the integration of technology through interactive digital media and gamification approaches also contributes positively to increased student participation and the creation of an enjoyable learning environment. These results affirm that active and innovative learning plays a significant role in improving the quality of primary education. The study recommends ongoing teacher training and the provision of supporting facilities as essential prerequisites to ensure that student-centered methods are implemented effectively within Indonesia’s basic education system.

Abstract

Pendidikan merupakan peran yang sangat penting dalam kehidupan ini, karena melalui pendidikan kita dapat memperoleh pengetahuan yang memiliki nilai dan manfaat. Ilmu dapat diartikan sebagai pengetahuan yang diperoleh melalui proses pembelajaran, sedangkan pendidikan adalah proses yang digunakan untuk memperoleh pengetahuan tersebut. Belajar, pada dasarnya, adalah proses di mana kita mengalami dan mengembangkan keterampilan baru. Pendidikan merupakan faktor kunci dalam mengembangkan potensi peserta didik. Salah satu aspek penting dalam pendidikan adalah pengembangan kemampuan berpikir kritis. Berpikir kritis Merujuk pada suatu proses kognitif yang terstruktur dan holistik yang melibatkan analisis mendalam terhadap suatu subjek dengan memanfaatkan sejumlah informasi yang relevan. Berpikir kritis merupakan kemampuan yang harus dimiliki oleh siswa agar mereka dapat mencerminkan bukti secara reflektif, produktif, dan evaluatif. Model pembelajaran berbasis masalah (PBL) merupakan suatu pendekatan dalam pemecahan masalah proses belajar di mana guru menghadirkan suatu masalah yang memiliki relevansi dengan kehidupan nyata kepada siswa secara terstruktur. Para siswa kemudian diberi instruksi untuk memecahkan masalah tersebut dengan mempertimbangkan berbagai perspektif yang ada. Dalam konteks ini, guru sangat berperan di dalam pendidikan sebagai fasilitator yang membimbing siswa dalam proses memecahkan masalah dan mendorong mereka untuk mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir kritis mereka. Penggunaan model pembelajaran berbasis masalah telah terbukti dalam pembelajaran sangat efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa, memicu rasa ingin tahu mereka dalam mencari informasi, serta mendorong kolaborasi dalam kelompok kerja.

Abstract

Prestasi akademik siswa dipengaruhi oleh faktor-faktor baik internal maupun eksternal. Salah satu faktor internal yang memainkan peran penting ialah minat belajar. Peserta didik sering mudah bosan ketika proses pembelajaran sedang berlangsung dikarenakan kurangnya minat belajar. Maka dari itu sebagai pendidik kita harus mampu menghadapi tantangan tersebut dengan menggunakan media pembelajaran yang menarik salah satunya yaitu canva. Canva adalah sebuah aplikasi desain online yang menyediakan berbagai macam opsi desain. Tujuan dari tinjauan pustaka ini untuk menganalisis artikel ilmiah yang membahas tentang penggunaan canva sebagai media pembelajaran untuk peserta didik terutama dalam meningkatkan minat belajar pada kelas III Sekolah Dasar. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode tinjauan pustaka yang mengambil referensi dari artikel di Google Scholar. Artikel ilmiah yang menjadi bahan tinjauan ini dipilih dari periode lima tahun terakhir. Kemudian, peneliti membaca, mengevaluasi dan menganalisis informasi yang terdapat di dalamnya. Dari enam artikel yang diperoleh menyatakan bahwa aplikasi canva yang digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran dapat meningkatkan minat belajar siswa.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to find the problems that exist in the implementation of social studies learning in elementary schools. This research uses a qualitative method with a case study approach. This research was conducted at SDN Ciwaktu in the city of Serang using the interview method with teachers at SDN Ciwaktu. The results of this research show that students have problems both from external factors, namely school and family factors, and internal factors consisting of intelligence, interests, talents, motivation, emotion and mental health. The most important thing is the teacher's lack of ability to choose learning methods and media that suit the character of each student.

Abstract

The problems teachers at MIN 1 Serang face in preparing teaching modules for the Merdeka Curriculum include difficulties in designing and creating the modules and a lack of experience implementing them in the classroom. This activity aimed to assist teachers in overcoming these challenges, particularly in designing and creating teaching modules for the Merdeka Curriculum. The method used was Participatory Action Research (PAR), which involved four stages: preparation and coordination, implementation, mentoring, and program evaluation. The mentoring process began with the preparation and coordination stage, which included identifying needs and planning activities at the school. Subsequently, the implementation phase involved intensive training to understand the Merdeka Curriculum and techniques for creating teaching modules, followed by in-depth mentoring to prepare Merdeka Lesson Plans. During the mentoring process, participants were encouraged to think critically and comprehensively when designing teaching materials. The results of this activity showed positive changes, where participants could understand the Merdeka Curriculum materials and successfully create teaching modules per the curriculum's standards. The evaluation at the end of the activity demonstrated success in achieving the mentoring objectives. Keywords: Teacher assistance, Implementation of Merdeka Curriculum, Teaching modules Abstrak: Problematika yang dihadapi oleh guru-guru di MIN 1 Serang dalam penyusunan modul ajar Kurikulum Merdeka meliputi kesulitan dalam menyusun dan membuat modul ajar, serta kurangnya pengalaman dalam mengimplementasikannya di kelas. Tujuan dari pelaksanaan kegiatan ini adalah untuk mendampingi guru dalam mengatasi permasalahan tersebut, khususnya dalam menyusun dan membuat modul ajar Kurikulum Merdeka. Metode yang digunakan adalah Participatory Action Research (PAR), yang melibatkan empat tahapan: persiapan dan koordinasi, pelaksanaan, pendampingan, serta evaluasi program. Proses pendampingan dimulai dengan tahap persiapan dan koordinasi, yang mencakup identifikasi kebutuhan dan perencanaan di madrasah. Selanjutnya, pelaksanaan pendampingan dilakukan melalui pelatihan intensif untuk memahami Kurikulum Merdeka dan teknik penyusunan modul ajar, diikuti dengan pendampingan intensif dalam penyusunan RPP Merdeka. Selama proses pendampingan, peserta diajak untuk berpikir kritis dan menyeluruh dalam merancang materi modul ajar. Hasil dari kegiatan ini menunjukkan adanya perubahan positif, di mana peserta mampu memahami materi Kurikulum Merdeka dan berhasil membuat modul ajar sesuai dengan ketentuan kurikulum tersebut. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of Social Science (IPS) learning based on local wisdom in strengthening the character of elementary school students. The method used is Systematic Literature Review (SLR) on various relevant national researches. The results of the study show that the application of local cultural values through folklore, traditional games, and culture-based media is effective in increasing social understanding and instilling the character of mutual cooperation, responsibility, and love for the homeland. This approach makes learning more contextual and meaningful according to students' lives. However, its implementation still faces obstacles, such as limited teacher competence, lack of local teaching materials, and school policy support. Therefore, teacher training, the development of contextual learning resources, and the synergy of schools and communities in preserving cultural values are needed.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the discovery learning model on students' critical thinking skills in the IPAS (Science and Social Studies) subject, specifically on the topic of the States of Matter and Its Changes.The research method employed was a Quasi-Experimental design using the Non-equivalent Control Group Design. The study was conducted in the 4th grade of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Islamiyah Ciwaru, where students were divided into an experimental group (receiving the discovery learning treatment) and a control group. The object of this research was the students' critical thinking skills. Data collection techniques included essay tests in the form of pretest and posttest, as well as observation. Data analysis was performed quantitatively using the t-test to determine the significance of the difference in the mean scores of the pretest and posttest between the two groups. The results showed a significant increase in critical thinking skills in the experimental class. The mean posttest score for the experimental class (86.63) was substantially higher compared to the control class (63.27). Based on the t-test analysis, the difference in the pretest and posttest scores between the two groups was significant, with a significance value (2-tailed) of 0.000 (p 0.05). The conclusion of this study is that the implementation of the discovery learning model is effective and can improve the critical thinking skills of 4th-grade students on the topic of the States of Matter and Its Changes.
