Abstract

Humans express ideas and thoughts through language. Language is clearly visible in a person's speech; this is closely related to his field or work. One type of utterance is the utterance delivered by buskers. The focus of this research is to study the forms of the opening and closing speeches of buskers on inter-city buses (Bojonegoro-Surabaya). Data icollection isi done iby recordingi, observingi, and itaking notes. iData ianalysis itechniques in ithis istudy used an iinteractive imodel iconsisting of idata icollection, idata ireduction, idata presentationi, iand idrawing iconclusions. What can be concluded is that the form of opening speech in busking activities includes greetings, apologies, and conveying hopes. While the form of closing speech in busking activities includes saying greetings of thanks, apologizing, expressing hopes, and conveying appeals.

Abstract

Pelemahan semangat nasionalisme di kalangan siswa sekolah dasar menjadi tantangan nyata dalam dunia pendidikan saat ini. Minimnya pemahaman terhadap sejarah perjuangan bangsa serta kurangnya keteladanan yang dikenalkan dalam pembelajaran menyebabkan lunturnya rasa cinta tanah air. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk menumbuhkan kembali nilai-nilai nasionalisme melalui pendekatan edukatif, interaktif, dan kontekstual. Mitra pengabdian adalah SDN 1 Kemantren Jabung, Kabupaten Malang. Metode yang digunakan mencakup penyusunan materi tokoh sejarah, penyampaian pembelajaran interaktif, pementasan drama sejarah, penggunaan media audiovisual, Lomba Cerdas Cermat Sejarah, Pameran Sejarah, dan ceramah inspiratif oleh narasumber. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan antusiasme siswa, penguatan pemahaman terhadap nilai kebangsaan, serta tumbuhnya sikap positif terhadap persatuan dan identitas nasional. Guru-guru juga menyambut baik metode ini sebagai inovasi pembelajaran yang sesuai dengan Kurikulum Merdeka. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan kreatif dan partisipatif dalam pembelajaran sejarah berpotensi besar dalam memperkuat karakter dan identitas kebangsaan siswa sekolah dasar. Hasil pengabdian ini penting untuk menjadi rujukan dalam pengembangan model pendidikan karakter berbasis sejarah di jenjang dasar.

Abstract

Psychosocioliteracy-based education is a crucial aspect of the humanist approach to learning in schools, focusing on linking teaching material with students' real-life situations and sociological psychological conditions. This approach encourages students to connect their knowledge with their lives as family and society members. Learning outcomes occur naturally through student work and experience activities, rather than knowledge transfer. Psychosocial pedagogy is essential for character education, as it helps teachers improve their understanding of teaching and trace the quality of their teaching through critical reflection. Language learning should be comprehensive and integrated, involving careful selection of context and personal experience. This approach encourages students to develop reflective abilities and skills, fostering a supportive social environment and promoting a commitment to learning. ABSTRAKPendidikan berbasis psikososioliterasi merupakan aspek penting dari pendekatan humanis terhadap pembelajaran di sekolah, yang berfokus pada menghubungkan materi pengajaran dengan situasi kehidupan nyata siswa dan kondisi psikologis sosiologis. Pendekatan ini mendorong siswa untuk menghubungkan pengetahuan mereka dengan kehidupan mereka sebagai anggota keluarga dan masyarakat. Hasil pembelajaran terjadi secara alami melalui kegiatan kerja dan pengalaman siswa, bukan transfer pengetahuan. Pedagogi psikososial sangat penting untuk pendidikan karakter, karena membantu guru meningkatkan pemahaman mereka tentang pengajaran dan melacak kualitas pengajaran mereka melalui refleksi kritis. Pembelajaran bahasa harus komprehensif dan terintegrasi, yang melibatkan pemilihan konteks dan pengalaman pribadi yang cermat. Pendekatan ini mendorong siswa untuk mengembangkan kemampuan dan keterampilan reflektif, menumbuhkan lingkungan sosial yang mendukung, dan meningkatkan komitmen untuk belajar.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran narasi lokal dalam buku cerita anak sebagai mediainternalisasi nilai-nilai demokrasi pada siswa sekolah dasar. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakanadalah kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus yang dilaksanakan di tiga sekolah dasar di KabupatenMalang. Data diperoleh melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi pembelajaran, dan dokumentasiyang dianalisis menggunakan model Miles dan Huberman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwanarasi lokal mampu menjadi sarana efektif dalam menanamkan nilai-nilai demokrasi sepertimusyawarah, menghargai pendapat, dan keadilan. Pembacaan dan diskusi terhadap cerita anak yangberakar pada budaya lokal membantu siswa memahami konsep demokrasi tidak hanya secarakognitif, tetapi juga secara afektif dan konatif melalui praktik musyawarah di kelas. Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of character, motivation, and learning environment on the creative thinking ability of eighth-grade students in Indonesian Language lessons at SMP Negeri 1 Jabung and SMP Negeri 1 Pakis, Malang Regency. Based on Bronfenbrenner's ecological theory (1979), which emphasizes the role of the learning environment, this research uses a quantitative approach with a descriptive correlational design, involving 231 students selected as samples using the Raosoft method. Data were collected through questionnaires and creative thinking tests, which were tested for validity and reliability. The analysis results indicate that students' character significantly influences creative thinking ability (t-statistic = 4.133, coefficient = 0.242), where positive character traits such as discipline and responsibility support creativity. Learning motivation also has a significant effect (t-statistic = 5.973, coefficient = 0.368), with intrinsic motivation playing a dominant role in enhancing creativity. Additionally, a conducive learning environment (t-statistic = 3.502, coefficient = 0.199) also supports the development of students' creativity. These findings emphasize the importance of developing character, motivation, and the learning environment to create conditions that foster student creativity, contributing to better educational policies.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the use of social media in Indonesian language learning for students at Lamongan Islamic University and examine students' responses to its use as a learning medium. The study used a descriptive qualitative approach with students from two classes of general Indonesian language courses as subjects. Data were obtained through learning observations, semi-structured interviews, student response questionnaires, and documentation of learning activities through social media. Data analysis was carried out through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and continuous conclusion drawing. The results show that social media is used as a medium for communication and discussion, material delivery, and a means of practicing language skills, especially writing and speaking. The use of social media encourages increased academic interaction, active student participation, and learning motivation in Indonesian language learning. In addition, learning becomes more contextual and relevant to the characteristics of students as digital learners. The conclusion of this study shows that the integration of social media in Indonesian language learning contributes positively to the achievement of learning objectives and has the potential to be developed as part of an innovative learning model in higher education.

Abstract

Karya sastra seringkali menghadirkan kompleksitas psikologis tokoh yang dapat merefleksikan dinamika kepribadian manusia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dinamika kepribadian tokoh William dalam novel William karya Risa Saraswati dengan menggunakan teori psikoanalisis Sigmund Freud. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif, dengan teknik baca dan catat dalam pengumpulan data. Data berupa kutipan teks yang relevan dianalisis melalui tahapan reduksi data, penyajian data, serta penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tokoh William mengalami distribusi energi psikis yang meliputi aktivitas berpikir, membedakan, dan mengingat. Energi tersebut dikelola oleh id, ego, dan superego yang secara bergantian memengaruhi sikap serta keputusan tokoh. Insting tokoh William ditunjukkan melalui insting hidup (life instinct) berupa dorongan mempertahankan hidup, berinteraksi sosial, berkarya melalui musik, dan cinta terhadap orang tua, sedangkan insting mati (death instinct) tampak dalam perilaku agresif, penghukuman diri, hingga sikap pasrah terhadap kematian. Selain itu, tokoh William juga mengalami tiga bentuk kecemasan, yaitu kecemasan realistis, kecemasan neurotis, dan kecemasan moral, yang memperlihatkan pergulatan batin yang kompleks. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa novel William bukan sekadar karya fiksi, melainkan juga representasi konflik psikis manusia yang dapat dipahami melalui perspektif psikoanalisis. Penelitian ini diharapkan memperkaya kajian psikologi sastra dan membuka peluang penelitian lanjutan dengan pendekatan interdisipliner yang lebih luas.

Abstract

Low reading interest among children and adolescents in nonformal religious education institutions remains a challenge in strengthening basic literacy. This condition was also identified among students of TPQ Nurul Iman in Tirtomoyo Village, Ampelgading District, where access to reading materials is limited and structured literacy activities are not yet available. This community service program aimed to develop the Children and Adolescents Reading Club (ARema) as a community-based literacy strengthening initiative within the TPQ environment. The program was implemented from May to July 2024 and involved TPQ administrators, teachers, and students. The implementation stages included needs assessment, literacy awareness sessions for administrators, improvement of the reading space and book collection, regular group reading activities, and continuous mentoring and evaluation. The novelty of this program lies in the integration of literacy space development, scheduled reading club management, and collaborative reading activities accompanied by simple discussions and retelling exercises. The results indicate increased student participation in reading activities, reflected in consistent attendance in reading club meetings, a higher number of completed readings, and improved ability to understand and retell reading materials. These findings demonstrate that community-based reading clubs can serve as an effective approach to strengthening literacy culture within nonformal educational settings. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the strengthening of students’ civic literacy through the integration of digital literacy in learning using a Design-Based Research approach. Strengthening civic competence has become increasingly important in the digital era as students are exposed to a vast flow of information that requires critical, analytical, and responsible thinking in understanding public issues. This research employed a qualitative approach with a Design-Based Research design implemented through several stages, including needs analysis, development of a digital literacy-based learning design, implementation of the learning process, and reflection on the learning outcomes. The research subjects were students of Universitas Wisnuwardhana selected purposively based on their participation in learning activities integrating digital literacy. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, and analyzed using qualitative data analysis techniques consisting of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that the integration of digital literacy in learning encourages students’ active engagement in analyzing public information, developing critical thinking skills, and constructing rational arguments in civic discussions. The Design-Based Research approach enables the development of adaptive and contextual learning designs that support the strengthening of students’ civic literacy in higher education settings. The results of this study provide practical implications for the development of innovative civic education learning that is relevant to the digital era and contributes to improving the quality of higher education oriented toward twenty-first century competencies.

Abstract

Early literacy is a fundamental foundation in the cognitive and language development of young children. However, many children still face difficulties in recognizing letters, understanding vocabulary, and constructing simple sentences. The Belajar Bahasa dan Sastra itu Seru (BeBaSaRu) program was designed as a community engagement initiative to enhance early literacy skills through an interactive and engaging approach. This program aims to develop young children's reading, writing, and storytelling abilities while also strengthening the role of teachers and parents in literacy stimulation. The methods used in this program include a participatory approach that involves teacher training, parental education, and the implementation of phonemic games, storytelling, shared reading, and creative writing activities. The results indicate that the program effectively improved children's vocabulary, story comprehension, storytelling skills, and basic writing abilities. Moreover, it increased children's interest in reading and reinforced the active involvement of teachers and parents in supporting literacy development. The implications of this study suggest that interactive literacy teaching methods can be adapted to various educational settings, including schools with limited resources. The sustainability of this program requires support from multiple stakeholders to ensure that its approaches continue to be effectively implemented in early childhood literacy education.
