Abstract

This research aims to describe the role of the madrasa head in improving the work ethic of teachers at MTs Al-Washliyah Tandam Hilir. The method used in this research is qualitative descriptive research. Data collection uses observation, interviews and documentation studies methods. The results of this research show that the role of the madrasa head in improving the work ethic of teachers in teaching at MTs Al-Washliyah is by meeting the teacher's financial needs, then the madrasa head also gives rewards to teachers who are considered the most active in terms of attendance and discipline in carrying out their duties. Another thing that is done is providing training in curriculum development for subjects according to the field of study, in order to improve the professional quality of teachers, so that teachers can improve their work ethic in teaching. The obstacle faced is that there are still teachers who often arrive late and lack discipline in teaching. Then there are still some teachers who are not academically aligned with the subjects they teach. The solution offered as an improvement effort in overcoming the obstacles that occur is that the head of the madrasah provides punishment or administrative sanctions for teachers who are undisciplined and often come to school late. Discuss with the madrasa supervisors regarding policies for teachers who are not yet aligned with their academic fields.

Abstract

Pembangunan masyarakat maju berkeadaban menuntut penghargaan dan layanan pendidikan bagi semua orang (education for all) kapan dan dimana saja, tidak hanya terbatas pada sistem pendidikan formal dalam lembaga pendidikan di sekolah, madrasah atau bahkan di perguruan tinggi, maka dalam hal ini diperlukannya pembaruan di masyarakat terutama dalam membangun masyarakat maju berkeadaban berbasis integrasi ilmu kearifan local dan budaya. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengabidan ini ialah metode workshop (seminar). Hasil dari pengabdian ini menujukan bahwa masyarakat memiliki antusias yang tinggi dalam mengikuti workshop/seminar yang diselenggarakan oleh tim PkM kepada masyarakat serta keingintahuan dan keinginan untuk maju dari masyarakat mendorong hal positif serta perubahan pola piker pada diri mereka terhadap kearifan local dan budaya yang bisa dimanfaatkan untuk memajukan mereka baik dari segi pengetahuan, ekonomi, politik dan sebagainya berdasarkan kebutuhan yang ada masyarakat sehingga hal tersebut dapat meningkatkan kesejahteraan social dan menciptakan masyarakat maju.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to record painting artists in West Sumatra who have worked with the Minangkabau concept. The method used refers to qualitative research methodology, namely observation, interviews and literature. Then for the research report, the collected data is presented based on citation data such as words / sentences and data in the form of interview scripts, field notes, photos, videos, personal documents or other official documents. The theory used refers to the opini of Kartodirjo, Becker, and Dwi Marianto.The presence of painting artists who raised the theme of Minangkabau nature such as: Kamal Guci, Afianto Arifin, Evalyna Dianita, Idran Wakidi, Yazid. Painting artists who work with this Minangkabau concept still exist to maintain their style of work, and not a few of art appreciators like or collect the work of the artist. It can be concluded that the presence of artists like this is very helpful in preserving the art of painting in West Sumatra which has been pioneered long time ago by painters like Wakidi and M.Syafei. Keywords: Minangkabau, Concept, Painting, West Sumatra.  ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan mendata seniman lukis di Sumatera Barat yang eksis berkarya dengan konsep Minangkabau. Metode yang dipakai merujuk pada metodologi penelitian kualitatif, yaitu pengamatan, wawancara dan kepustakaan. Kemudian untuk laporan penelitian, data-data yang terhimpun disajikan berdasarkan kutipan data baik berupa kata/kalimat maupun data berupa naskah wawancara, catatan lapangan, foto, video, dokumen pribadi ataupun dokumen resmi lainnya. Teori yang digunakan merujuk kepada pendapat Kartodirjo, Becker, dan Dwi Marianto.Kehadiran seniman lukis yang mengangkat tema alam Minangkabau seperti: Kamal Guci, Afianto Arifin, Evalyna Dianita, Idran Wakidi, Yazid. Seniman lukis yang berkarya dengan konsep Minangkabau ini masih eksis mempertahankan corak karya mereka, dan tidak sedikit para penikmat seni menyukai atau mengoleksi karya seniman tersebut. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa kehadiran seniman seperti ini sangat membantu dalam dalam pelestarian seni lukis di Sumatera Barat yang sudah dirintis jauh hari oleh pelukis Wakidi dan M.Syafei. Kata Kunci: Minangkabau, Konsep, Seni Lukis, Sumatera Barat.

Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini berangkat dari masih terbatasnya kajian yang mengintegrasikan model outdoor learning dengan nilai-nilai keislaman dalam pendidikan lingkungan di madrasah, padahal pendekatan pembelajaran berbasis pengalaman langsung berpotensi memperkuat kesadaran ekologis peserta didik secara lebih kontekstual. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis perencanaan, pelaksanaan, serta dampak penerapan model outdoor learning terhadap pemahaman dan sikap peduli lingkungan peserta didik di MTs Bina Bersaudara Langkat. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain deskriptif melalui teknik observasi, wawancara mendalam, dan dokumentasi, sedangkan analisis data dilakukan secara interaktif melalui tahapan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan untuk memperoleh pemahaman yang komprehensif mengenai praktik pembelajaran yang berlangsung. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi outdoor learning mampu meningkatkan keterlibatan aktif peserta didik, memperkuat pemahaman konsep lingkungan, serta membentuk sikap peduli terhadap kelestarian lingkungan melalui pengalaman belajar langsung di lingkungan sekitar. Kontribusi konseptual penelitian ini terletak pada pengembangan model integratif outdoor learning berbasis nilai-nilai Islam yang memadukan pengalaman ekologis dengan dimensi moral dan spiritual, sehingga pendidikan lingkungan di madrasah tidak hanya berorientasi pada aspek kognitif, tetapi juga pada pembentukan tanggung jawab ekologis sebagai bagian dari etika keislaman. Kata Kunci: Outdoor Learning, Pendidikan Lingkungan, Madrasah, Pembelajaran Kontekstual Abstract This study addresses the limited research integrating the outdoor learning model with Islamic values in environmental education within madrasah contexts, despite the potential of experiential learning to strengthen students’ ecological awareness in a more contextual manner. The study aims to analyze the planning, implementation, and impact of outdoor learning on students’ environmental understanding and environmental care attitudes at MTs Bina Bersaudara Langkat. This research employs a qualitative approach with a descriptive design using observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation as data collection techniques. Data were analyzed through an interactive process consisting of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing to obtain a comprehensive understanding of the learning practices implemented. The findings indicate that the implementation of outdoor learning increases students’ active engagement, strengthens their understanding of environmental concepts, and fosters environmental care attitudes through direct learning experiences in the surrounding environment. The conceptual contribution of this study lies in proposing an integrative outdoor learning model based on Islamic values that combines ecological experience with moral and spiritual dimensions, thereby positioning environmental education in madrasah not only as a cognitive learning process but also as the development of ecological responsibility grounded in Islamic ethical values. Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji efektivitas model Hypothetical Learning terhadap peningkatan kemampuan siswa pada mata pelajaran Fiqih di MA Al-Ishlahiyah Binjai, mengingat pembelajaran Fiqih masih cenderung menekankan hafalan dan kurang mengembangkan penalaran siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain quasi eksperimen yang melibatkan dua kelompok, yaitu kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol, masing-masing berjumlah 30 siswa. Kelas eksperimen menggunakan model Hypothetical Learning, sedangkan kelas kontrol menggunakan pembelajaran konvensional. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui tes hasil belajar dalam bentuk pretest dan posttest yang telah diuji validitas dan reliabilitasnya. Data dianalisis menggunakan statistik deskriptif dan inferensial, meliputi uji normalitas, homogenitas, dan uji t. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai rata-rata posttest kelas eksperimen sebesar 81,25 lebih tinggi dibandingkan kelas kontrol sebesar 72,10, dengan nilai signifikansi 0,001 (<0,05). Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa model Hypothetical Learning efektif meningkatkan kemampuan siswa. Novelty penelitian ini terletak pada penerapan model Hypothetical Learning dalam pembelajaran Fiqih yang menekankan penalaran hipotesis dan pemahaman konseptual siswa. Kata Kunci: Hypothetical Learning, Hasil Belajar, Pembelajaran Fiqih, Quasi Eksperimen Abstract This study aims to examine the effectiveness of the Hypothetical Learning model in improving students’ abilities in Fiqh subjects at MA Al-Ishlahiyah Binjai, considering that Fiqh learning still tends to emphasize memorization and provides limited opportunities for the development of students’ reasoning skills. This research employed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design involving two groups, namely an experimental group and a control group, each consisting of 30 students. The experimental group was taught using the Hypothetical Learning model, while the control group received conventional instruction. Data were collected through achievement tests in the form of pretests and posttests that had been validated and tested for reliability. Data analysis was conducted using descriptive and inferential statistics, including normality and homogeneity tests, followed by hypothesis testing using an independent samples t-test. The results showed that the mean posttest score of the experimental group (81.25) was higher than that of the control group (72.10), with a significance value of 0.001 (p < 0.05). These findings indicate that the Hypothetical Learning model is effective in improving students’ abilities. The novelty of this study lies in the application of the Hypothetical Learning model in Fiqh instruction, emphasizing the development of hypothetical reasoning and students’ conceptual understanding.
