Abstract

The limitations of CKD patients require families to care for family members who suffer from CKD. This research analyzes family experiences in caring for family members with CKD. This research method uses a descriptive design with a scoping review approach. Article searches used four journal databases: PubMed, ScienceDirect, EBSCO, and Google Scholar. Articles that met the inclusion criteria, including a publication range from 2015 to 2022 in English and Indonesian and free access to the full-text PDF, were evaluated before selection. The research results based on a review of 10 articles show that family members have different responses in caring for CKD sufferers. Acceptance of known kidney disease indicates coping with solid efforts. The family will also continue to fight to get the best treatment for the patient's recovery. Apart from that, the family and the patient can make decisions regarding the continuation of the patient's therapy program. Families need emotional support from the surrounding environment. Psychological responses will increase along with the lack of family acceptance of the condition of the patient being treated.

Abstract

Introduction: Online learning is a global trend in higher education in the era of the COVID-19 pandemic. Online learning becomes one of the approaches available to most students and educators, as opposed to face-to-face learning. The aim of this research is to find out the correlation of online learning and satisfaction among nursing students during the COVID-19 pandemic. Methods: This study was a cross-sectional approach involving 177 second-year nursing students randomly selected resulting in 121 students. Students filled out an online learning questionnaire consisting of 14 items and a satisfaction questionnaire consisting of 21 items from Google Forms. Data were analysed using logistic regression with level of significance (p=0.000). Results: The online learning indicator that had the highest average value was relevance (3.12), while the highest average value of student satisfaction indicator was content (3.05). Logistic regression showed that the online learning indicator that greatly affected student satisfaction was attractiveness. Fair attractiveness for online learning increased satisfaction by 7.516 times compared to poor attractiveness (p = 0.000) and good attractiveness for online learning increased satisfaction by 55.538 times compared to poor attractiveness (p = 0.000). Conclusions: Student satisfaction depends heavily on student attractiveness to the online learning process. Lecturers can increase the attractiveness of students toward online learning, whether through the utilized media, learning methods, or the technology of delivering lecture materials.

Abstract

Background :Psychological disorders are common in CVA patients. Anxiety is one of the psychological factors that can worsen the condition of CVA patients. Islamic-based autogenic relaxation therapy is an alternative for reducing anxiety. Objective :This study aims to understand the impact of islam-based autogenic relaxation therapy on anxiety levels in patients with CVA in the Bougenville Ward of Dr. Soegiri Regional Hospital, Lamongan Regency. Methods : This study used a pre-experimental design with a single-group pre-test and post-test approach. Using consecutive sampling, 36 CVA patients were recruited. The study used the HADS-A instrument to measure anxiety levels and the HMS instrument to measure mobility levels. Islamic-based autogenic relaxation therapy was administered for three consecutive days according to standard operating procedures (SOP). The data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon test with a P-value of 0.05. Result : Before the intervention, 80.6% of CVA patients experienced moderate anxiety. After the intervention, 50% of patients experienced mild anxiety. The Wilcoxon test showed a P-value of 0.000, indicating a significant effect of Islamic-based autogenic relaxation intervention on anxiety levels in CVA patients. Conclusion : Islamic-based autogenic relaxation therapy can reduce anxiety by calming the mind, reducing stress, and motivating patients to be more active.

Abstract

Household waste management, especially organic waste from the kitchen, is one of the serious problems faced by rural communities in Indonesia. Waste in the form of fruit peels and vegetable scraps from daily cooking activities is often not managed properly so it has the potential to pollute the environment and cause health problems. The purpose of waste management activities through the production of ecoenzyme is to assist the community of Tenggiring Village, Sambeng Sub-district, Lamongan Regency, in processing kitchen waste, such as vegetables and fruits, into valuable products. This activity is crucial considering the increasing global warming and the growing volume of household waste, thus processing organic waste into eco-enzyme can be an environmentally friendly solution. The fermentation product of eco-enzyme has many benefits, such as a natural floor and toilet cleaner, unclogging drains, fertilizing plants, repelling insects, and its residue can be utilized as organic fertilizer. The method used was participatory through socialization, counselling, and direct demonstration with the involvement of Universitas Muhammadiyah Lamongan students. The results show that the residents were able to understand and practice eco-enzyme production using simple ingredients such as brown sugar, vegetable and fruit residues, water, and recycled containers with a fermentation process of three months. The community showed high enthusiasm since the product proved useful for household, environmental, and agricultural needs, while also reducing the volume of organic waste. This activity had a positive impact in increasing environmental awareness among the community and demonstrated that organic waste management can be implemented in an affordable, easy, and sustainable way.
