Abstract

This programmatic community service activity for families with toddlers was conducted out in Sungai Tuan Ilir Village, Astambul District, Banjar Regency. In order to avoid cases of malnutrition in the family and community, increased understanding of malnutrition and anthropometric measurements must be optimized. Socialization in the form of group and individual health counseling in the family environment with a family centered nursing approach about malnutrition and anthropometric measurements, training on anthropometric measurements, and the application of growth curve measurements are among the activities carried out in community service. Community service can help families comprehend and adjust their views, especially when it comes to preventing malnutrition while doing family tasks and functions.

Abstract

The development of circumcision techniques in the world, including Indonesia, is very rapid. One of them is super ring modern circumcision with free needle injection anesthesia. Efforts to improve the skills of health workers such as doctors and nurses through training are carried out in collaboration with LKP Sunat Modern Indonesia. The methods used are question and answer lectures, demonstrations, FGDs, and the practice of performing circumcision on patients directly with the assistance and supervision of the instructor. The result of this activity is an increase in understanding and skills in performing super ring modern circumcision with free needle injection anesthesia, and producing entrepreneurs in this field.

Abstract

Circumcision is better known as khitan or Indonesian people often call it sunat. Circumcision is usually performed for a specific purpose and has religious and medical benefits. Circumcision even though minor surgical procedures have been carried out with the correct technique and guaranteed sterility, complications of the procedure will still exist. Complications that occur are influenced by experience, skills, and techniques and tools used by circumcision practitioners. For this purpose, community service program in the form of modern circumcision training using the ring method were carried out for 11 circumcision practitioners in the Banjar Regency area. The methods used are question and answer lectures, demonstrations, FGDs, and the practice of performing circumcision on patients with the assistance and supervision of instructors. The result of this program is an increase in understanding and skills in performing modern super ring circumcision, a combination of anesthetic techniques without a needle, and producing entrepreneurs in this field.

Abstract

Virgin coconut oil (VCO) or lalaan oil is suspected to have non-pharmacological therapeutic benefits in pruritus. Community service activities in Sungai Tuan Ilir Village, Astambul District, Banjar Regency, South Kalimantan are carried out to empower the community to take advantage of the abundant coconut in the surrounding environment and to process it independently at home. The community service method is carried out by socializing health counseling, demonstrations and mentoring. This community service is able to improve the understanding and skills of the community in utilizing coconut as a non-pharmacological drug for the treatment of pruritus or itching. These skills can also be used as business opportunities for cadres and village communities by naming unique products, such as lalaan (lakas malawan gatalan).
