Abstract

The integration of audio-visual elements in educational resources has garnered significant interest, given their potential to enhance language learning efficiency. This study delves into the innovative use of such audio-visual tools, specifically YouTube, in speaking classes for students from non-English departments. The shift from conventional in-class language learning to online platforms, a change accelerated by the global Covid-19 pandemic, has revolutionized learning methodologies. This research offers a glimpse into the perspectives of ten Informatics Engineering students on utilizing YouTube videos for English language learning outside the traditional classroom setting. Employing a qualitative research methodology, the investigators conducted comprehensive interviews and classroom observations. The initial phase of data analysis involved data reduction, which was subsequently followed by further data condensation and conclusion derivation. The findings suggest that the majority of participants agreed on the significant influence of YouTube on their speaking class. Despite a handful of students facing network-related challenges, the study underscored that this web-based platform served as a valuable, cost-free supplementary resource for the speaking class.

Abstract

Pada era ini dimana teknologi semakin maju, hampir semua kegiatan yang dilakukan tidak terlepas dari pada teknologi, seperti halnya dengan merawat tanaman. Tantangan dalam merawat tanaman dapat menjadi kendala utama, karena perawatan manual yang tidak konsisten akan berdampak buruk pada kondisi tanaman aglaonema. Khususnya terkait intensitas cahaya dan kelembaban tanah bagi pertumbuhan tanaman aglaonema. Pada penelitian ini di rancang alat pengamat tanaman yang dapat membantu pengguna dalam merawat tanaman aglaonema. Alat ini memungkinkan untuk mengamati keadaan pada tanaman yang berupa kelembaban tanah dan intensitas cahaya melalui jarak jauh dengan aplikasi blynk. Selain itu, alat ini juga dapat menyirami tanaman secara otomatis berdasarkan kelembaban tanah. Mikrokontroler yang digunakan adalah ESP-32, dimana mikrokontroler ini sudah terintegrasi dengan jaringan internet. Sensor kelembaban tanah yang digunakan adalah sensor yl-69, serta untuk mengukur intensitas dari cahaya yang diterima oleh tanaman digunakan sensor cahaya Light Dependant Resistor (LDR). Semua sensor ini bekerja sama untuk mendapatkan hasil yang di inginkan. Metode penelitian menggunakan metode pengembangan atau RnD (Research and Development). Hasil pembacaan dari sensor tanah akan menjadi tolak ukur apakah pompa air perlu di nyalakan. Pompa akan otomatis mati setelah nilai pada sensor tanah mencapai nilai yang sudah ditentukan. Semua hasil pembacaan dapat dilihat pada layanan aplikasi blynk secara langsung.

Abstract

Cuci Steam 77 merupakan perusahaan jasa yang memberikan pelayanan cuci mobil dan motor diwilayah kota blitar. Di layanan jasa ini sering sekali terjadi kehabisan bahan baku karena belum adanya safety stock dan prediksi jumlah antrian kendaraan. Prediksi memberikan banyak manfaat bagi layanan jasa untuk mempermudah pengelolaan bahan baku serta meningkatkan kwalitas layanan jasa. Kurangnya persediaan bahan baku pada bulan oktober sampai dengan desember tahun 2023 menjadikan layanan jasa sering kewalahan dalam mengontrol dan mengelola persediaan bahan baku sehingga perlu adanya suatu prediksi untuk memecahkan masalah dalam layanan jasa. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini akan memprediksi jumlah antrian kendaraan dengan algoritma Monte Carlo yang diharap bisa membantu pengelolaan pada layanan jasa. Data yang diolah adalah data jumlah antrian bulan april 2022 sampai maret 2023. Hasil pengolahan data didapatkan bahwa tingkat akurasi prediksi menggunakan metide monte carlo sebesar 97,11 %. Algoritma Monte Carlo bisa digunakan untuk memprediksi antrian kendaraan di cuci steam 77 di bulan berikutnya sehiingga bisa mempermudah dalam pengambilan keputusan.

Abstract

Digital library merupakan pusat informasi dan pembelajaran yang penting untuk perguruan tinggi. Oleh karena itu, penting bagi perpustakaan untuk terus meningkatkan kualitas aplikasi. Untuk meningkatkan kualitas aplikasi, tentu hal itu tidak dapat dipisahkan dari pengalaman pemustaka dalam menggunakan digital library sebagai bahan rujukan perbaikan dan pengembangan aplikasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji tingkat kepuasan pemustaka dalam penggunaan layanan digital library menggunakan algoritma C5.0 dan teknik evaluasi menggunakan confusion matrix. Data diperoleh dari 251 responden melalui kuesioner yang menilai faktor-faktor seperti effectiveness, efficiency, dan satisfaction terhadap fitur-fitur digital library. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa effectiveness, terutama dalam hal kemampuan mencari informasi dan navigasi yang intuitif, memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap kepuasan pengguna. Pengujian menunjukkan akurasi yang baik, dengan nilai mencapai 96,81%, serta precision dan recall yang memadai untuk label “puas” dan “tidak puas”. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa algoritma C5.0 yang diimplementasikan dengan RapidMiner dapat menghasilkan model yang akurat dalam menentukan kepuasan pemustaka.

Abstract

The Hidayatullah Foundation is an Al-Qur'an-based school that has a tahfidz Al-Qur'an program that is taught every day to students. By holding the Tahfidz competition, it is hoped that it can provide motivation to students to increase their enthusiasm for memorizing the Al-Qur'an. However, so far the selection system that has been carried out by the school still uses manual methods by estimating students who are deemed capable without thorough calculations being carried out. So the selection of students is felt to be unfair and there is no opportunity for other students to take part in the competition. The application of the decision support system uses the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method with the results of the grades and ranking of the best students in the Tahfidz program which is carried out through a system calculation process with the first rank with alternative A10 getting a result of 0.996342132 named Alicia from class 3. The test results using the confusion matrix show the value accuracy of 96.9% which indicates a high level of accuracy. It was concluded that the SAW method could be used to select students to take part in competitions.

Abstract

Latar Belakang: Lembaga pendidikan formal di YADTAQUN merupakan lembaga pendidikan baru dengan jumlah guru terbatas. Saat ini, pihak sekolah berupaya menyusun dan mengembangkan kurikulum pembelajaran yang mengintegrasikan kompetensi bidang teknologi namun terkendala oleh rendahnya motivasi dan pengetahuan guru terkait perkembangan dan pemanfaatan teknologi. Tujuan: Tujuan PKM adalah memberikan informasi dan pengetahuan pada guru tentang pemanfaatan IT dalam pembelajaran. Metode: PKM dilaksanakan melalui metode sosilisasi dengan tahapan kegiatan yaitu identifikasi masalah, pengkajian dan menentukan solusi, implementasi sosialisasi, dan evaluasi. Hasil: Hasil pengisian angket evaluasi menujukkan persentase kepuasan sebesar 93,72%. Selain itu, peserta termotivasi untuk belajar IT setelah mengikuti kegiatan sosialisasi. Kesimpulan: Kegiatan PKM memberikan guru pengetahuan dasar tentang IT dan cara mengunakan IT dalam proses pembelajaran. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan PKM mendapatkan respon positif dengan kategori kepuasan peserta adalah sangat puas.

Abstract

This research is aimed to explore the writing teaching strategies implemented at the seventh-grade students of SMPN 04 Blitar. Using a holistic case study approach, this research focuses on an in-depth understanding of teaching strategies and their impact on students' writing skills development. The data was collected through direct observation, interviews, and documentation. The data was analyzed using interactive data analysis method by involving the analysis of credibility, dependability, conformability, and transferability. These analyses involves triangulation, member check, and researcher’s prolonged attendance. The Findings of this research show that teachers use a combination of direct teaching strategies and collaborative learning using E-Learning. The E-Learning teaching strategy makes students learn actively & interestedly, and work for writing exercises. Meanwhile, the collaborative learning strategy was integrated through group discussions, joint revision sessions, and peer reviews. As a result, there were a significant increase in students' academic scores, progress in mastery of vocabulary and spelling, and improvements in their social skills and writing abilities. This research also highlights the importance of constructive teacher feedback and authentic assignment strategies in increasing students' motivation and writing skills. This research concludes that the implemented teaching strategies positively impact students’ writing skills development. These research formulates model and proposition as the outcomes of the research phenomenon disclosure. The researcher recommends that this model be a reference for other researchers for further studies and for educators to practice in other educational contexts.

Abstract

Abstract: This study discloses the phenomena of the Task-Based Language Teaching (TBLT) technique to teach writing to 10th-grade students at SMAN 4 Blitar. The context of this study is based on students' lack of enthusiasm and motivation to write English, which is caused by a lack of literacy, poor writing habits, and inappropriate use of technology. This study aims to describe how TBLT is used, assess its success, and suggest the next steps to enhance students' writing skills. This study takes a descriptive qualitative method with a comprehensive single-case study design. Data were gathered via in-depth interviews, classroom observations, and document analysis. The data were thematically evaluated using Miles and Huberman's method, which included data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of this study show that TBLT enhances students' participation, understanding, and writing skills through collaborative tasks and continuous feedback. The Ongoing evaluation also allows teachers to adjust teaching strategies according to the individual students’ needs Thus, TBLT has proven to be effective in creating a dynamic and collaborative learning environment, significantly improving students' writing skills. This study reveals a model and proposition to be referenced for further studies and instructional practices.

Abstract

This research aims to identify the challenges students face in understanding recount texts, describe the methods teachers use to address these issues, analyze student-teacher interactions in the classroom, and assess the effectiveness of the strategies implemented to enhance student comprehension. Using a qualitative approach and a single case study method, the research involved teachers, school principals, and eighth-grade students. Data were collected through observations, interviews, and documentation. The findings reveal that eighth-grade students encounter several difficulties in understanding recount texts, including challenges with unfamiliar vocabulary, long sentences separated by commas, text structure, and words with affixes. Specifically, students struggle with new vocabulary, lengthy sentences that hinder comprehension, and the organization of events in the text. To address these issues, teachers employ various strategies. For vocabulary difficulties, students are encouraged to repeatedly read the text and look up unfamiliar words in the dictionary. To tackle long sentences separated by commas, they are taught to break the sentences into shorter parts, interpret each segment, and understand its context within the story. For text structure, the teacher provides detailed explanations, and for words with affixes, relevant examples of prefixes and suffixes are given. These strategies help create a positive and active classroom environment, contributing to improved student understanding of the material. The research demonstrates that the teacher's methods effectively enhance students' comprehension of recount texts. Keyword : Difficulties, Recount Text, Strategy, Model

Abstract

Rosi Cell.Net di Kabupaten Nganjuk menghadapi tantangan berupa kerusakan jaringan fisik dan gangguan perangkat lunak yang diperburuk oleh cuaca dan interferensi elektromagnetik. Untuk mengatasi ini, sistem pakar berbasis metode Naive Bayes dapat digunakan untuk mendiagnosis dan menyelesaikan masalah komputer dan jaringan secara efisien, sehingga meningkatkan keamanan dan efisiensi operasional. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan sistem pakar menggunakan algoritma Naive Bayes untuk mendeteksi dan mengklasifikasikan kerusakan jaringan di ROSI CELL.NET. Penelitian menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi metode Naïve Bayes dalam sistem pakar untuk deteksi masalah jaringan di ROSI CELL.NET memberikan hasil positif, dengan akurasi 85,71%, presisi 90%, recall 72%, dan F1-Score 80%. Meskipun ada beberapa hasil yang tidak sesuai dengan data latih, metode ini tetap efektif dalam meningkatkan efisiensi troubleshooting dan kepuasan pelanggan, terutama dalam mendiagnosis masalah kabel LAN dengan probabilitas 0,8268.
