Abstract

This study aims to determine the improvement in student learning outcomes in Civic Education (PKn) through the application of the Role Playing method in the subject matter of cultural, social, and religious diversity and tolerance. This study is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted in two cycles, each consisting of the stages of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The research subjects were 26 fifth-grade students at SDM Karuni, consisting of 15 male students and 11 female students. Data collection techniques included observation of teacher and student activities, learning outcome tests, and documentation to support quantitative and qualitative data. Data analysis was conducted using quantitative descriptive analysis to calculate the increase in learning outcomes and qualitative analysis to describe changes in student behavior and learning activities during the action. The results of the study indicate that the application of the Role Playing method can significantly improve student learning outcomes. The average class score increased from 65.33 in cycle I to 80 in cycle II, with classical mastery increasing from 47% to 80%. Teacher activity also increased from 60.22 to 82.95, while student activity rose from 59.72 to 77.77. Thus, the application of the Role Playing method proved to be effective in improving student learning outcomes in Civics Education in Grade V at SDM Karuni.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the challenges faced and the efforts made by SD Negeri Mawo Dana in implementing the Merdeka Curriculum. The research employed a qualitative descriptive approach, with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings indicate that the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum at SD Negeri Mawo Dana still encounters several obstacles, including limited teacher understanding of the curriculum structure and principles, inadequate educational facilities, challenges in conducting assessments and Pancasila Student Profile (P5) projects, and difficulties in developing appropriate teaching modules and assessment instruments. To address these issues, the school has undertaken several initiatives such as conducting training through Teacher Working Groups (KKG), using simple and contextual learning media, utilizing the Merdeka Mengajar Platform (PMM) as a reference and enrichment source, and providing teacher mentoring in developing learning tools. This study recommends continuous support from school leaders, improvement of learning facilities, and sustained assistance from the local education office to optimize and sustain the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum

Abstract

This study aims to improve the learning outcomes of fourth-grade students at SDK Wanno Badu. This type of research is Classroom Action Research (CAR). The subjects of this study are fourth-grade students at SDK Wanno Badu, totaling 17 students, comprising 9 female students and 8 male students. Data were collected through (1) learning outcome tests, observation, and documentation. Data analysis was carried out using descriptive quantitative and qualitative methods. The results of the observation of teacher activities in managing learning for each cycle, taking into account the average achievement, continued to show an increase from cycle I to cycle II. The teacher activity observation score in cycle I was 80.35, which falls into the good category. In cycle II, there was an increase to 98.21, which is in the very good category. The very good achievement in cycle II indicates that the activities in managing learning to improve student learning outcomes using the STAD-type cooperative learning model were highly effective. The observation results on the students also showed an improvement, namely in cycle I the average score reached 76.78 with a good criterion, and in cycle II it increased to 93.74 with an excellent category. From this research, it was found that in cycle I the average percentage score was 71.76% and the classical completeness was 58.82%, and in cycle II the average percentage score was 84.11% and the classical completeness was 88.23%.
