Abstract

This paper is about the use of optimizing root extracts through the roots of vetiver grass as an antiseptic on the skin. Petiver grass root is the grass that has antioxidant properties. The purpose of this study was to determine the content of vetiver grassroots for skin health. This study used a quasi-experimental method (distillation) and distillation with a quantitative approach. The research data was collected through direct observation with the surrounding environment. which results in an antiseptic to the skin. In practice, many people find benefits from vetiver root. due to the lack of awareness of the community in researching the surrounding environment, especially regarding the roots of vetiver grass which people perceive as garbage even though it has benefits on the skin. If this happens, the level of public awareness will decrease, resulting in the effect of a lack of public understanding in achieving goals. Only a small part of the community understands the importance of utilizing surrounding plants, some of them use it because it is to provide food for herbivorous animals even though it has benefits for skin health. This results in a lack of public interest in conducting experiments, so things should be known but not known. If one of them is asked, the reason is that they do not have the talent for research. So that with conditions like this makes people worry about the level of concern. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct research on the content of vetiver grassroots in order to make it easier for the public to know that vetiver grass has used on the skin. This is the reason through the use of optimizing root extracts through the roots of vetiver grass as an antiseptic on the skin can be built. So that with the research on the content of vetiver grass which is not utilized by the community, it will be useful later, so that it runs as expected.

Abstract

This research investigates the implementation and outcomes of Problem-Based Learning (PBL) in chemistry education, focusing on its impact on student engagement, motivation, and critical thinking skills. Employing a mixed-methods approach, the study combines quantitative surveys and qualitative interviews to provide a comprehensive analysis of PBL experiences from both student and instructor perspectives. The findings reveal that PBL significantly enhances student performance by fostering a deeper understanding of chemical concepts and improving problem-solving abilities. Additionally, PBL increases student motivation and interest in chemistry through active participation and real-world problem-solving. However, the study also identifies challenges in PBL implementation, including resource constraints, the need for instructor training, and student resistance to the new learning model. Addressing these challenges is crucial for maximizing the benefits of PBL. This research contributes to the growing body of literature on innovative teaching strategies in science education and offers practical insights for educators and policymakers seeking to enhance the effectiveness of chemistry instruction.

Abstract

This study conducts a comprehensive bibliometric analysis to map global trends in educational program evaluation, focusing on research outputs, thematic evolution, and key scholarly networks from 2000 to 2024. Utilizing citation metrics, yearly publication graphs, and VOSviewer visualizations of keyword co-occurrences, the research identifies significant shifts in thematic focus, delineates interconnected research clusters, and highlights the influential contributions within the field. The analysis reveals a notable increase in publications related to educational evaluation during the early 2000s with a peak between 2010 and 2018, indicating heightened research interest coinciding with global educational reforms. Thematic clusters around "educational program," "quality management," and "leadership" underscore a multidisciplinary approach integrating educational theory with business management practices. This study underscores the field's adaptation to evolving educational needs and points towards emerging areas requiring further exploration, such as digital evaluation techniques and program-specific assessments.

Abstract

The integration of learning technology in education has transformed traditional teaching and learning practices, significantly influencing cognitive development and student creativity in the digital age. This study investigates the impact of learning technology on these two critical educational outcomes using a quantitative approach. Data were collected from 80 secondary school students through a structured questionnaire based on a Likert scale (1-5) and analyzed using SPSS version 26. The findings reveal a significant positive effect of learning technology on both cognitive development and creativity, with regression models explaining 46% and 52% of the variance, respectively. These results highlight the transformative role of digital tools in enhancing critical thinking, problem-solving, and creative expression among students. The study provides empirical evidence to guide educators and policymakers in designing effective strategies for technology integration in education.

Abstract

Nature education has great potential in forming emotional connections between students and their environment. In today’s educational context, where urbanization and modernization are increasingly dominant, it is important to refocus on direct experiences in nature. Through this approach, students not only learn about ecosystems and biodiversity, but also develop a sense of empathy and responsibility towards the environment. Direct experiences, such as camping, exploring the forest, or doing conservation projects, provide opportunities for students to actively engage with nature. This study aims to explore how nature education can strengthen students’ emotional ties to their surroundings. Using the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method, this study analyzes various existing literatures to understand the impact of nature education on students’ attitudes and behaviors. The findings of this study indicate that experiences in nature not only increase environmental awareness but also create a deeper connection between students and nature. Students who engage in nature education tend to show positive attitudes towards environmental conservation and are more active in conservation activities. In addition, these experiences can also improve students’ mental health by reducing stress and increasing emotional well-being. Thus, nature education not only functions as an educational tool, but also as a medium to form a generation that is more concerned and responsible for the environment, which is very important amidst the environmental challenges faced today.
