Abstract

Vertical farming technique is a method used for community settlements that have narrow land optimally. This technique will arrange plants in tiers from top to bottom with various types of plants. The purpose of this community service (PKM) is to help improve the understanding and ability of the Karang Taruna Tani Villa Pasir Mas group partners to grow vegetables so that they can meet their daily vegetable needs and reduce living costs by utilizing existing land using sonic bloom technology. The community service partners trained in this service are 25 partners aged 30-50 years. The methods used are socialization, training and mentoring. The results achieved are an increase in Partners' understanding of sonic bloom technology to 80%, Partner knowledge 98% and Partners' desire to cultivate vegetables with sonic bloom by 100%.

Abstract

Perkembangan pertanian ramah lingkungan diiringi dengan tingginya permintaan produk organik. Jenis limbah rumah tangga bermacam-macam, namun sekitar 75% limbah rumah tangga merupakan sampah organik dan sisanya merupakan sampah anorganik. Sumber limbah terbesar yang dapat menyebar dan berpotensi mencemari lingkungan adalah limbah rumah tangga. Mengolah limbah ini menjadi produk yang bernilai ekonomi tinggi, seperti pupuk organik cair, merupakan salah satu penanggulangan yang dapat dilakukan. Limbah yang paling banyak dihasilkan oleh rumah tangga adalah air cucian beras dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai bahan baku utama dalam pembuatan pupuk organik cair. Kegiatan ini menggunakan metode penyuluhan dan pelatihan bagi ibu rumah tangga dan masyarakat setempat. Berdasarkan hasil evaluasi dari sesi praktek dapat ditarik kesimpulan bahwa kegiatan ini secara keseluruhan berhasil meningkatkan kemampuan peserta dalam pembuatan pupuk organik cair dan cara penggunaannya pada tanaman. Antusiasme peserta terhadap pelatihan terlihat selama kegiatan pelatihan ini berlangsung. Hal ini dibuktikan pada saat pemateri memaparkan data hasil uji coba penggunaan pupuk organik cair pada tanaman.

Abstract

Rubber plants (Hevea brasiliensis) will experience a decrease in production as plants age and the nutrient content in the soil decreases. This study aims to find out the chemical properties of soil on plantations of rubber crops that are converted into palm and coconut crops. The research was conducted from October 2023 to January 2024 at the palm coconut plantation of PTPN III Aek Nabara North Garden in Labuhanbatu district and analyzed in the Land Laboratory of the Faculty of Agriculture of the University of Northern Sumatra. The methods used are observation methods, field sampling, and analysis in the laboratory to obtain quantitative data. Observation parameters include soil pH, C-organic, Total Nitrogen, Available P, Cation Interchange Capacity, and Base Fulness. The results of the survey showed that the level of soil fertility at the site of the research was included in the low category. The main limiting factor that causes the low fertility of the soil is the low content of organic material in the soil. In order to improve the fertility status of the ground at the research site for further planting, it is necessary to make efforts such as irrigation and fertilization, as well as the addition of organic materials, to make the availability of nutrients for plants more affordable.

Abstract

this study aims to analyze: oil palm farming income, household income, household income allocation, the proportion of household food consumption expenditure, the proportion of household non-food consumption expenditure, and the level of welfare of households oil palm farmers. The research was carried out in May-June 2024 in Tanjung Pasir Village, South Kualuh District, North Labuhanbatu Regency. The population of this study was 62 people with a sample of 38 people using Slovin Formula taken at Simple Random. Data analysis used is qualitative and quantitative descriptive analysis. The results showed income from oil palm farming an average of Rp 5,779,825 / month. Household income comes from oil palm farming, other farming, non-farming, and income from household members. The average household income is Rp 8,607,017 / month. The allocation of household income to food needs per month amounted to Rp 1,324,421 or 15.35% and non-food needs amounted to Rp 7,282,596 or 84.61%. The proportion of household food consumption expenditure per month of 15.39% means that 15.39% of household expenditure is allocated to food. The proportion of non-food consumption expenditure of households per month is 84.61%, which means that 84.61% of household expenditure is allocated for non-food expenditure. Based on the proportion of food consumption (PKP) and the proportion of non-food consumption (PKNP) of oil palm farmer households, it is concluded that the level of welfare of oil palm farmer households in Tanjung Pasir Village, South Kualuh District, North Labuhanbatu Regency is classified as a prosperous household.

Abstract

The rice productivity in Panai Tengah was still relatively low, producing 4.75 Mg ha-1, compared to the national production of 5 to 6 Mg ha-1. Low rice productivity was caused by limiting factors in land use, namely, physical and biological factors, soil chemistry, and agricultural systems. Providing organic fertilizer or municipal waste compost is one way to overcome the constraints on the soil’s physical, biological, and chemical characteristics. This study aims to determine the response to the growth and yield of rainfed rice fields in Kecamatan Panai Tengah with a dose of Municipal Solid Waste Compost (MSWC). This research was conducted by taking soil samples in the rainfed rice fields and then analyzing them in the experimental field at the Faculty of Science and Technology, Labuhanbatu University. The analysis stage was for six months, from seeding to harvesting. The methodology for this study was a non-factorial randomized block design consisting of 7 treatments. The result showed that applying MSWC at a dose of 18 Mg ha-1 showed high yields. The recommendation to farmers was to give 18 Mg ha-1 of MSWC to increase the yields of their rice fields.

Abstract

The pak choy plant is a plant that has a very easy method of cultivation. The pak choy plant is also one of the vegetables that is often developed by hydroponic farmers because many people like to eat pak choy so this plant is one of the people's favorites. The aim of community service (PKM) is that the community is expected.  Efforts to increase the productivity of pak choy continue to be made because this plant has quite high economic value and market interest. This service uses the lecture method, namely by conveying information and knowledge orally using power points. By using Sonic Bloom technology on Pakcoy plants, you can stimulate the opening of the stomata, thereby influencing the movement of carbon dioxide around the plant, thereby influencing the absorption of carbon dioxide around the leaves and more importantly using high frequency and organic sound waves. nutrients, which are proven to grow plants better to increase their productivity. By implementing this community service program, the Karang Taruna Tani Pasir Mas Group Partners will be able to provide knowledge in cultivating vegetables using Sonic Bloom technology. And based on this report, it can be concluded that Sonic Bloom treatment using the sound of the Al Quran can produce plant height, number of leaves, production weight and weight of basal roots and dry roots in bok choy plants because the sound is given using a high frequency. can stimulate the leaf mouth (somata) to remain open.

Abstract

Keberadaan nitrogen dalam tanah sangat erat kaitannya dengan pertumbuhan tanaman. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk menganalisis ketersediaan nitrogen dalam tanah dan menghitung kebutuhan pupuk untuk meningkatkan produktivitas padi sawah. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada lahan persawahan di Kelurahan Ujung Bandar, Kecamatan Rantau Selatan, Kabupaten Labuhanbatu dan Analisis sampel tanah diuji di Laboratorium pada tanggal 16 Januari 2022. Penelitian menggunakan metode survei dengan pendekatan sampel area pada luas lahan 300 m2 . Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa N dalam tanah sawah termasuk rendah, yaitu mulai dari 0,11%, 0,14% dan 0,15%. Penambahan pupuk dengan kandungan nitrogen sangat diperlukan untuk menyokong pertumbuhan tanaman dalam meningkatkan produktivitas

Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan mengkaji tingkat kesuburan tanah perkebunan karet PTPN III Afdeling V Aek Nabara Kabupaten Labuhanbatu dan memberi pengetahuan petani karet bahwa kesuburan tanah wajib ditingkatkan tetapi tetap menjaga kualitas tanah. Penelitian dilaksanakan di perkebunan karet PTPN III Afdeling V Aek Nabara, Labuhanbatu dan analisis sifat kimia tanah di laboratorium analitik Socfin Indonesia kebun Bangun Bandar dengan parameter pH H2O, N total, C-Organik, PBrayII, K, Ma, Ca, Na, KTK. Bahan & alat: 5 sampel tanah tanaman karet tidak produktif, bor tanah, alat tulis, lebel, plastik, kamera. Hasil: tanah perkebunan karet tidak produktif memiliki nilai parameter tanah yang nilai kandungannya berbeda, vegetasi sekitar tanah tanaman karet tidak produktif i juga menjadi faktor mengapa tanaman sekitar tanah tersebut tidak produktif lagi. Semua parameter yang dianalisis uji lab. Analitik bahwa pH tanah tergolong masam di kelima sampel, N total, C-Organik, P-BrayII, K, Ma, Ca, Na, KTK juga tergolong rendah di tiap parameternya. Dengan penanganan seperti pemupukan atau permberian bahan organik dapat memberikan solusi agar tanah areal tanaman yang tidak produktif dapat lebih baik lagi, analisis kelima sempel ini dapat memberikan solusi pada pihak perkebunan agar dapat menangani dengan tepat pada lahan tanaman karet yang sudah tidak produktif menjadi lebih memberikan keuntungan, baik di bidang perusahaan maupun di bidang pertanian.

Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh pemberian asap cair dari tempurung kelapa sebagai pestisida alami dalam mengendalikan hama kutu daun (Myzus persicae) pada cabai merah. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Lahan Pasca perumahan wilayah perkebunan Afdeling II Kecamanat Bilah Barat Rantauprapat Kabupaten Labuhanbatu. Penelitian dilakasanakan Oktober 2021 sampai Maret 2022. Metode Penelitian menggunakan metode Eksperimen dengan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) Non Faktorial dengan 4 kali ulangan. Di sini A1 = 0 hari sekali (tanpa menggunakan perlakuan), A2 = perlakuan asap cair 2 hari sekali, A3 = perlakuan asap cair 4 hari sekali, A4 = perlakuan asap cair 6 hari sekali, dan A5 = perlakuan asap cair 8 hari sekali.. pengaplikasian asap cair tempurung kelapa dilakukan dengan menggunakan keep semprot merek solo dengan konsentrasi 3%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan Populasi hama kutu daun pada tanaman cabai tertinggi pada perlakuan 0 hari sekali / tanpa aplikasi asap cair (A1) yaitu 8,4 ekor dan populasi terendah pada perlakuam aplikasi asap cair setiap 2 hari sekali (A2) yaitu 4,0 ekor. Dan juga Persentase serangan hama kutu daun pada tanaman cabai merah dengan menyemprotkan asap cair masuk dalam kategori serangan rendah, karena pada perlakuan aplikasi asap cair 2 hari sekali (A2) menunjukan tingkat serangan sebesar 22,4%, dimana nilai tersebut masuk dalam dalam kategori serangan rendah.
