Abstract

This research was motivated by the problem of lack of clean water around the coast of Rainbow Beach in Karawang because the water quality is poor and still brackish. Untreated brackish water poses a risk to human health if drunk for a long time and can trigger skin diseases if used for bathing. The well water taken is located in the Pelangi Coastal Area, Pedes Karawang. This research aims to test the ability of brackish water desalination using powder, granules, and three variations of green algae hydrogel. This research uses a quasi-experimental method by comparing it with zeolite as a standard for brackish water desalination. The research results show that the resulting hydrogel preparation has a solid, brittle shape, a dark green color, and a distinctive odor of green algae. The best viscosity value is in the H4 formula. All green algae hydrogel formulas have good pH values, while the best swelling ratio value is in the H2 formula, and the best gel fraction value is in the H4 formula. From the results of the research that has been carried out, it can be concluded that the hydrogel, granule, and green algae powder preparations can desalinate brackish water based on the results of pH, temperature, salinity, sodium ion, and magnesium ion tests compared with zeolite, where the 6 g hydrogel preparation shows the best desalination capability of brackish water at the three well sample points

Abstract

if there is an increase in free radicals in an uncontrolled amount, more antioxidants are needed to minimize and neutralize the effects of free radicals. These antioxidants can come from consumed food ingredients such as tea bags with a combination of butterfly pea flowers (Clitoria ternatea. L) and white tea (Camellia sinensis) because they have the potential to provide protection from free radicals that can damage body cells. The aim of the study was to determine the levels of antioxidants that would be obtained from combining plants that have high antioxidant activity into a preparation in the form of tea bags. The method used is in vitro using UV-Vis spectrophotometry. Testing of antioxidant activity using the DPPH (1,1-Diphenyl- 2-Picrilhydrazyl) method and data analysis using the Kruskal Walls non-parametric test. In this study the results showed that butterfly pea flowers contain alkaloid compounds, flavonoids, saponins, quinones, and tannins, as well as white tea which contains alkaloids, flavonoids, saponins, quinones, and tannins. The antioxidant activity of butterfly pea flower produced an IC50 value of 262.778 ppm, white tea produced an IC50 value of 14.091 ppm, and formulations of butterfly pea flower and white tea bags that had potential as antioxidants were F1 with an IC50 value of 16.510 ppm. Preparations of teabags of butterfly pea and white tea with a concentration ratio of 50% : 50% are effective as antioxidants and are the preferred formula based on hedonic tests which include color, smell and aroma of teabag preparations.

Abstract

The use of antioxidants can be administered orally or topically. Antioxidants are known to be better if given topically in topical dosage forms such as sheet masks, so it is necessary to make masks from natural ingredients that have high antioxidant activity such as Cananga odorata because they contain benzyl benzoate which has anti-free radical properties. This study aims to prove the preparation of biocellulose essence sheet mask containing Cananga odorata has antioxidant activity with concentrations of F1, F2 and F3. Antioxidant testing using the DPPH method. Evaluation of biocellulose sheet mask preparations includes the mask sheet weight test and the mask sheet thickness test. Evaluation of essence preparations includes organoleptic, pH, viscosity, irritation, and hedonic tests. The positive phytochemical screening results contained alkaloids, flavonoids, tannins, and saponins. The results of testing the antioxidant activity of Cananga odorata obtained an IC50 value of 4.027 ppm. Evaluation of essence preparations obtained homogeneous, pH (5.01-6.43), viscosity (400-600 cPs), no irritation occurred in volunteers. Cananga odorata has antioxidant activity in the weak to moderate category, IC50 results for each formula F1 184.212 ppm, F2 150.175 ppm, and F3 72.448 ppm. Based on these results it can be concluded that Cananga odorata can be formulated as an essence with strong antioxidant potential with an IC50 value of 4.027 ppm.

Abstract

Skin is the outermost layer of the human body that protects the organs inside and skin is the layer that adapts most to the external environment, weather or climate. Facial cleansing is the first step to remove dead skin cells, dirt, sebum and cosmetic residue, which causes acne, redness, irritation and can be made worse by the presence of free radicals. Compounds that are able to ward off free radicals are antioxidants, so this research will make Cleansing Balm with butterfly pea flower extract (Clitoria ternatea L.) as an antioxidant and find out the best formula and storage stability from experimental research by testing antioxidant activity using the DPPH method. The Cleansing Balm preparation was made with three additional concentrations of butterfly pea flower extract (Clitoria ternatea L.), namely F1 (0.1%), F2 (0.2%), and F3 (0.3%). In this research, the results showed that telang flower extract contains alkaloids, flavonoids, quinones, tannins and saponins. The antioxidant activity of Cleansing Balm of butterfly pea flower (Clitoria ternatea L.) shows an IC50 F1 of 95,732 ppm, F2 of 51,368 ppm, F3 of 10,213 ppm. From the research, it can be concluded that Cleansing Balm Formula 3 which contains 0.3% butterfly pea flower extract (Clitoria ternatea L.) is the most effective formula for antioxidant activity

Abstract

Inflammation is the body’s response to harmful stimuli, and it plays a crucial role in boosting immunity. However, if inflammation is not managed properly, it can lead to degenerative diseases. This research aims to analyze the potential of Plectranthus scutellarioides (L.) R. Br. leaves as an anti-inflammatory agent. The study employs an in silico molecular docking method, using the active compound from the plant as the test ligand and the COX-2 receptor as the target. The results indicate that the test ligand, Antosianin, shows the best interaction as an inhibitor of the target receptor, as demonstrated by its superior affinity energy value compared to the other test ligands.

Abstract

Kesehatan mental menjadi perhatian utama akibat meningkatnya stres dari pekerjaan, tuntutan sosial, dan perubahan gaya hidup. Jika tidak dikelola dengan baik, stres dapat menyebabkan gangguan tidur, kecemasan, dan penurunan produktivitas. Penelitian ini mengembangkan SmartDiff, sebuah diffuser aromaterapi berbasis IoT yang terintegrasi dengan sound therapy dan dapat dikendalikan melalui aplikasi Android. SmartDiff bekerja dengan menggabungkan teknologi ultrasonik diffuser untuk menyebarkan essential oil serta sound therapy berbasis suara alam guna menciptakan efek relaksasi yang optimal. Metode penelitian mencakup studi literatur, perancangan alat, dan pengujian sistem. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa SmartDiff bekerja secara optimal dalam menyebarkan aroma, menghasilkan suara terapi berkualitas, serta dapat dikendalikan secara real-time melalui aplikasi Android. Kesimpulannya, SmartDiff dapat menjadi solusi inovatif dalam pengelolaan stres melalui kombinasi aromaterapi dan sound therapy berbasis teknologi, serta berkontribusi pada pengembangan terapi berbasis IoT dalam bidang kesehatan mental.

Abstract

Permasalahan proses peminjaman sarana di PT Racer Robot Indonesia yang masih dilakukan secara manual menimbulkan kesalahan pencatatan, konflik jadwal, serta kesulitan dalam pelacakan aset. Penelitian ini bertujuan merancang dan mengimplementasikan aplikasi web untuk mendukung manajemen peminjaman sarana yang efisien dan transparan. Pengembangan dilakukan dengan metode Agile Scrum yang melibatkan tahapan product backlog, sprint planning, sprint execution, sprint review, dan sprint retrospective secara iteratif untuk menyesuaikan kebutuhan pengguna. Aplikasi dikembangkan menggunakan Flutter di sisi front-end dan Firebase sebagai back-end agar mendukung tampilan responsif dan penyimpanan data real-time. Pengujian black-box memastikan seluruh fitur berjalan sesuai spesifikasi, termasuk login berbasis peran, pengajuan peminjaman, verifikasi admin, monitoring status, dan laporan histori. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa semua fitur dari aplikasi berjalan sesuai dengan spesifikasi dari PT Racer Robot Indonesia.

Abstract

Nefrotoksisitas dapat didefinisikan sebagai penyakit ginjal atau disfungsi yang timbul sebagai akibat langsung atau tidak langsung dari paparan obat-obatan, dan bahan kimia industri atau lingkungan. Nefrotoksisitas dapat dicegah dengan pemberian obat nefroprotektif. Tumbuhan cep cepan (Castanopsis costata (Blume) A.DC.) yang merupakan famili Fagaceae sering digunakan sebagai obat gangguan fungsi ginjal oleh masyarakat suku Karo di Medan, Sumatera Utara, namun penggunaannya masih bersifat turun-temurun. Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah untuk memberikan pengetahuan kepada masyarakat mengenai Pemanfaatan Tumbuhan Cep-cepan (Castanopsis costata) Sebagai Nefroprotektif. Kegiatan ini dilakukan pada Sabtu, 28 Juni 2025 menggunakan metode edukasi/ceramah langsung kepada masyarakat yang ada di Kampung Nagasari, Desa Karangsari, Kecamatan Purwasari, Kabupaten Karawang, Jawa Barat. Berdasarkan hasil kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat yang telah dilakukan, seluruh masyarakat yang ada di Kampung Nagasari, Desa Karangsari, Purwasari, Karawang yang hadir dalam kegiatan ini telah memahami dan mengerti tentang penyakit ginjal, pengobatan penyakit ginjal, dan pemanfaatan tanaman Cep cepan sebagai nefroprotektif alami.

Abstract

Leek leaves (Allium fistulosum L.) are plants that contain flavonoid compounds with diverse biological activity potential. This study aims to examine the stable interaction of the docking results between the PPAR-γ receptor complex structure and the best candidate flavonoid compounds in leek leaves as antidiabetic candidates. The method used in this study is quantitative and designed using molecular docking techniques based on computational molecular dynamics (MD), which simulates the dynamic behaviour of a molecular system as a function of time, treating each entity in the simulation box (protein, ligand, or water, if present) as flexible. The results of molecular docking on 16 onion leaf flavonoid compounds showed that hesperidin had the smallest Gibbs free energy (ΔG) of -10.0 kcal/mol, which is close to that of natural ligands. The RMSD and RMSF values are sufficiently stable. Hesperidin also has good pharmacokinetic properties and is non-toxic, thus meeting the criteria for drug-likeness as a potential oral drug candidate. These findings indicate the potential for developing flavonoid compounds, particularly hesperidin from onion leaves, as a candidate for an antidiabetic drug by inhibiting the PPARγ receptor. This study provides a foundation for further in vitro and in vivo studies to validate its biological activity.
