Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the value of character education in the Dayak Salako Garantukng Sakawokng folklore, which is related to human obligations to God. The method used is descriptive qualitative with a moral approach. The data source is a folklore told by the indigenous Dayak Salako Garantukng Sakawokng people. The research data is in the form of quotes, sentences, or paragraphs that contain character education values. Data collection techniques use the technique of listening to conversation, recording techniques, and note-taking techniques. Data collection tools include human instruments, recording devices, and data cards. Data analysis techniques include: transcription, careful reading, classification, analysis, and concluding. Data validity tests include referential adequacy, triangulation, and reader persistence/consistency. This study found 11 data of character values ​​in Dayak folklore, consisting of pious attitudes (3 data), faith and piety (3 data), gratitude (3 data), and respect for the Creator (2 data). These values ​​predominantly appear in the stories of Antu Pagayo Idup and Nek Karantiko, reflecting the strong moral and religious messages in local cultural narratives.

Abstract

This study aims to find the relationship between the use of internet media and writing explanatory texts for class XI IPS students of SMA Negeri 3 Singkawang. The type of research is correlation. The data collection technique used is indirect communication technique with an instrument in the form of a questionnaire, and a measurement technique with a test instrument. The data analysis technique uses product moment correlation. The results of the questionnaire analysis were 91.7%, while the writing results obtained an average value of 81.3. Then calculate the correlation by using a data analysis preparation aid table and calculated using the product moment formula. The results of the correlation analysis between the use of internet media and learning outcomes in the material on writing explanatory texts, namely at a significant level of 5% with 35 respondents, the results of the product moment correlation test were obtained with results = 0.433, while 1% is 0.430 and 5% is 0.334, thus = 0.433> 0.430 means significant. Because it is greater than. So the null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted, it is concluded that there is a significant relationship between the use of internet media and learning outcomes in the material of writing explanatory texts for class XI IPS students of SMA Negeri 3 Singkawang. Thus, this study contributes to digital-based learning by providing empirical evidence that internet media can be an effective tool in improving the ability to write explanatory texts.
