Abstract

With the help of financial ratios, the financial performance of a company reveals its level of success or failure as well as how closely its operations comply with the law. This research aims to determine the effect of financial performance on Return on Assets in pharmaceutical businesses from 2019 to 2021 listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the Covid 19 pandemic. Financial performance includes Current Ratio, Debt to Equity Ratio, and Working Capital Turnover. Every pharmaceutical company registered on the IDX from 2019 to 2021 is used as a research object in this quantitative research. The information used is secondary information collected based on records obtained from the IDX. The sampling technique was Purposive Sampling even though the research subjects were 12 companies listed on the IDX in 2019 and 2020. This research shows that Return on Assets is influenced by the Current Ratio, Debt to Equity Ratio, and Working Capital Turnover, as determined by financial performance metrics. Current Ratio and Debt to Equity Ratio both partially influence Return On Assets which is shown simultaneously at a significance level of 0.000, but working capital turnover has no influence.

Abstract

Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam adalah sebuah ilmu yang menghubungkan antara alam bahkan manusia yang sangat luas serta terbentuk secara ilmiah. Seiring dengan perkembangan ilmu pengetahun dan teknologi di era globalisasi proses belajar mengajar menjadi modern. Perlunya menggunakan media web yang praktis dan efektif mendukung keberhasian pembelajaran IPA dan menambah pengetahuan teknologi yang ada di sekolah. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui validitas dan respon siswa mengenai media pembelajaran berbasis web. penelitian ini menggunakan model tahapan ADDIE yaitu analysis, design, development, implementation, dan evaluation. Akan tetapi peneliti hanya sampai tahapan implementasi karena adanya keterbatasan waktu. Subjek penelitian ini terdiri dari dua dosen, dua guru, 10 siswa  dalam uji skala kecil, serta 30 siswa untuk uji skala besar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengembangan media pembelajaran web pada materi sistem pernapasan manusia dikategorikan valid dengan persentase ahli materi 95%, ahli media 88%, guru TIK 84% serta  guru IPA 92% sehingga persentase keseluruhan yaitu 90%  layak digunakan sebagai alat bantu siswa mengenai materi sistem pernapasan manusia. Berdasarkan penelitian yang telah diterapkan oleh peneliti bahwa media ini harus lebih dimodifikasi dari segi konten agar kedepannya semakin berkembang serta pendidik harus lebih memahami dan mempelajari teknologi yang lebih lanjut.

Abstract

Natural Science (IPA) learning in elementary schools is required not only to be oriented towards mastering concepts, but also to be able to train students' higher-order cognitive skills. However, science learning practices in elementary schools still tend to be teacher-centered so that they are not optimal in developing higher-order thinking skills. This study aims to determine the effect of implementing the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model with a scientific approach on higher-order cognitive skills in elementary school students' science subjects. This study uses a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental research type and a pretest–posttest control group design. The research subjects consisted of two classes of students at Gelam 1 Elementary School, Sidoarjo, designated as the experimental class and the control class. The experimental class received learning using the Project Based Learning model with a scientific approach, while the control class used a scientific approach without PjBL. The research instrument was a science learning outcome test oriented to higher-order cognitive skills (C4–C6). Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, prerequisite tests, and t-tests. The results showed that the average posttest score of the experimental class (82.10) was higher than the control class (71.30), with an increase in N-Gain of 0.62 in the experimental class and 0.36 in the control class. The t-test showed a significance value of 0.000 (p < 0.05), which indicated a significant difference between the two groups. Thus, it can be concluded that the application of the Project Based Learning model with a scientific approach is more effective in training students' high-level cognitive skills in science learning in elementary schools

Abstract

Student engagement is a crucial aspect of elementary school learning, yet in practice, participation levels are often low throughout the learning process. The use of digital media is seen as a potential pedagogical strategy to increase active student engagement. This study aims to examine the effect of digital media use in science learning on elementary school student engagement. The study used a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental non-equivalent control group design. The subjects consisted of fifth-grade students divided into an experimental class and a control class. The research instrument was a student engagement questionnaire covering cognitive, affective, and psychomotor dimensions, supported by observation sheets. Data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics. The results showed that the average student engagement score in the experimental class increased from 55.00 in the pretest to 85.00 in the posttest, while in the control class it increased from 50.00 to 65.00. The increase in student engagement in the experimental class occurred across all dimensions of engagement, with the highest increases in the psychomotor and cognitive dimensions. The prerequisite test results showed normally distributed and homogeneous data, while the mean difference test indicated a significant difference in student engagement between the experimental and control classes (p < 0.05). Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the use of digital media in science learning has a positive and significant effect on increasing elementary school student engagement. Therefore, it is recommended that digital media be pedagogically integrated into science learning to create more interactive, meaningful, and student-centered learning in the digital age.

Abstract

This study aims to test the results of the development of Augmented Reality-based learning media using the Assmblr Edu platform on the material of grouping animals based on their food types, namely herbivores, carnivores, and omnivores, for third-grade elementary school students. The background of this study is based on the low interest of students in learning science material due to the limited learning media that can provide an interesting and enjoyable learning experience. The development model used in this study is the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The subjects of this study consisted of 16 third-grade students of SDN Kedensari 1. The instruments used included validation by material experts and media experts, teacher response questionnaires, student response questionnaires, and student evaluation tests. Abstract

Numeracy literacy is an important competency that must be developed in 21st-century learning, particularly in the Independent Curriculum, which emphasizes contextual understanding and the application of knowledge in real life. This study aims to determine the use of animated learning videos with a contextual approach to improving students' numeracy literacy skills. This study used a quantitative method with a quasi-experimental method using a Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. The research subjects consisted of two classes VII at MTs Miftahul Ulum, namely class VIIA as the control class (14 students) which used conventional learning, and class VIIB as the experimental class (15 students) which used animated learning videos with a contextual approach.Data were collected through pre-tests and post-tests, then analyzed using the Shapiro–Wilk normality test, Levene's homogeneity test, and the Paired Sample T-Test using SPSS version 25. The analysis results showed that all data were normally distributed and homogeneous. There was a significant increase between pre-test and post-test scores in both classes, with a higher increase in the experimental class. Thus, the use of animated learning videos with a contextual approach has a positive and significant effect on students' numeracy literacy skills.
