Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the completeness of learning facilities on the science learning outcomes of seventh-grade students of SMP N. 10 Pematangsiantar in the 2021/2022 academic year. The population in this study was 224 students and a sample of 35 students. The sampling technique used was random sampling, taking 15% from classes VII-1 to VII-7. The variables in this study were independent variables and dependent variables. In this study, the independent variable (X) was the completeness of learning facilities and the dependent variable (Y) was the science learning outcomes of seventh-grade students of SMP Negeri 10 Pematangsiantar. The analysis techniques used were validity and reliability tests, correlation tests, and hypotheses were proven using the t-test at a significance level of α = 0.05. The average score of students' science learning outcomes was 80.2, which is a high average learning outcome. The average score of the questionnaire on the completeness of science learning facilities for grade VII students of SMP N.10 Pematangsiantar was 73.43, which is a fairly high average. From the results of the correlation test, the correlation between the completeness of learning facilities and the science learning outcomes of grade VII students of SMP N.10 Pematangsiantar in the 2021/2022 academic year was obtained r = 0.81. Based on the qualification of the correlation coefficient, the correlation between the two variables above is a very high correlation. From the results of the hypothesis testing/with the t-test, the t-count = 8.03 was obtained and at a significance level of ∝ = 0.05 and dk = 33, the t-table = 2.034 was obtained. So the t-count is greater than the t-table, so in this case Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. This means that there is a real influence between the completeness of learning facilities on the science learning outcomes of grade VII students of SMP N.10 Pematangsiantar. Based on the results of the determination test, the contribution of the completeness of learning facilities to the science learning outcomes of seventh-grade students at SMP N 10 Pematangsiantar was 65.61%. This means that students' science learning outcomes are influenced by the completeness of learning facilities. It was concluded that there is a significant influence between the completeness of learning facilities and the science learning outcomes of seventh-grade students at SMP N 10 Pematangsiantar in the 2021/2022 academic year.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the differences in student learning outcomes and the magnitude of  the differences in student learning outcomes using the Talking Stick and Snowball Throwing learning models on the excretory system in class VIII of Bina Guna Tanah Jawa Private Junior High School in the 2021/2022 academic year. This study is a quasi-experimental study with different treatments given to each class. The research sample was taken using a saturated sampling technique (census) consisting of two classes: class VIII-1 was designated as experimental class 1 using the Talking Stick learning model, with 32 students, while class VIII-2 was designated as experimental class 2 using the Snowball Throwing learning model, with 32 students, resulting in a total sample of 64 students. Data analysis was carried out by finding the mean (X̅ ), standard deviation (S), and hypothesis testing (t-test) at a significance level of α = 0.05. The research results obtained an average post-test score of 86.56 for experimental class 1 and 85.93 for experimental class 2, with a difference in learning outcomes of 0.63. The results of the hypothesis testing (t-test) obtained thitung (1.708) > ttabel (1.669) at a significance level of α = 0.05 and degrees of freedom (dk) = 32. Therefore, Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted, meaning there is a difference in student learning outcomes using the Talking Stick and Snowball Throwing learning models on the excretory system topic for class VIII at Bina Guna Tanah Jawa Private Junior High School in the 2021/2022 Academic Year. It was concluded that there is a difference in student learning outcomes using the Talking Stick and Snowball Throwing learning models on the excretory system topic in class VIII at Bina Guna Tanah Jawa Private Junior High School in the 2021/2022 Academic Year.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the differences in student learning outcomes and the magnitude of the differences in student learning outcomes using the Student Team Achievement Division and Think Pair and Share learning models on the excretory system online in grade VIII of SMP Negeri 4 Pematangsiantar in the 2020/2021 academic year. The population was 187 students, consisting of 6 classes, and the sample was taken using Cluster Random Sampling, resulting in two classes: experimental class 1 (VIII-5) with 32 students and experimental class 2 (VIII-8) with 32 students. Experimental class 1 was treated using the Student Team Achievement Division learning model, and experimental class 2 was treated using the Think Pair and Share learning model. Data analysis was carried out by finding the mean (X̅ ), standard deviation (S), and hypothesis testing (t-test) at a significance level of α = 0.05. The research results obtained an average post-test score of 86.09 for experimental class 1 and 85.16 for experimental class 2, with a difference in learning outcomes of 0.93. The results of the hypothesis testing (t-test) obtained thitung (2.625) > ttabel (1.99) at a significance level of α = 0.05 and degrees of freedom (dk) = 62. Therefore, Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted, meaning there is a difference in student learning outcomes using the Student Team Achievement Division and Think Pair and Share learning models on the online excretory system material for class VIII of SMP Negeri 4 Pematangsiantar in the 2020/2021 academic year. It was concluded that there is a difference in student learning outcomes using the Student Team Achievement Division and Think Pair and Share learning models on the online excretory system material for class VIII of SMP Negeri 4 Pematangsiantar in the 2020/2021 academic year.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of conditions and concentration on learning at home during the COVID-19 pandemic on the academic achievement of grade X students at MAN Pematangsiantar in the 2020/2021 academic year. The population in this study was grade X, consisting of four classes with 160 students. A sample size of 25% of the total population was taken, resulting in a sample size of 160 x 25% = 40 students. The research instruments used to collect data were student questionnaires and the Student Grade List (DKN). The remainder was collected through documentation as supplementary data. The results of this study indicate that the conditions and concentration on learning during the COVID-19 pandemic significantly impacted the academic achievement of grade X students at MAN Pematangsiantar.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether there is an effect on student learning outcomes using the Gallery Walk learning method on the circulatory system material for eighth graders at MTs Mesra Pematangsiantar in the 2019/2020 academic year. The sample taken in this study was Cluster Random Sampling, namely random sampling of classes. Therefore, classes VIII-2 and VIII-3 were selected, where class VIII-2 served as the experimental class 1 and class VIII-3 as the control class, with 32 students in each class. This research instrument used a pre-test and post-test in the form of options (a, b, c, d), each with 20 questions. Each correct question was given a score of 5 and each incorrect question was given a score of 0. The test technique was used to obtain data on Integrated Science learning outcomes. Based on the results of hypothesis testing using the t-test, the calculated t (2.227) > t table (2.000) at a significance level of α = 0.05 with degrees of freedom (df) = 32 + 32 - 2 = 62, so Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted, meaning there is an effect on student learning outcomes using the Gallery Walk method on the circulatory system material for class VIII MTs Mesra Pematangsiantar in the 2019/2020 Academic Year.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine whether the application of animation media based on animeker can improve student learning outcomes at SMA Perguruan Tamansiswa Pematangsiantar and to improve student learning outcomes on learning media using animated videos. This study uses a Classroom Action Research (CAR) model that refers to the research design including the stages: (1) planning, (2) action, (3) observation, (4) reflection. The sample in this study was the experimental class (XI MIPA 1) which consisted of 36 students. The results of the study were obtained from the data from using Animaker-Based Animation Using CIRC (Cooperative Intedred Reading And Composition) in cycles I and II, namely in cycle I 80% and in cycle II 85%.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji peran Mall Suzuya dalam hubungan antara perilaku konsumtif dan kesehatan mental remaja di era modern. Melalui studi literatur sistematis terhadap publikasi ilmiah 10 tahun terakhir, penelitian ini menganalisis dampak keberadaan mall terhadap pola konsumsi dan kesejahteraan psikologis remaja. Hasil menunjukkan korelasi positif antara akses ke Mall Suzuya dengan peningkatan perilaku konsumtif remaja, yang berimplikasi pada kesehatan mental mereka. Ditemukan bahwa konsumsi berlebihan dapat memicu stres finansial dan kecemasan, namun mall juga berfungsi sebagai ruang sosialisasi yang mendukung perkembangan identitas remaja. Studi ini merekomendasikan pendekatan holistik dalam menangani isu tersebut, melibatkan edukasi konsumen dan pengembangan program kesehatan mental yang terintegrasi dengan lingkungan mall

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan peningkatkan minat kaum muda terhadap pertanian yang akhir akhir ini menjadi salah satu ancaman bagi perkembangan pertanian. Jika hal ini terus dibiarkan tanpa solusi akan menyebabkan menurunan pembangunan pertanian. Salah satu solusi yang dapat dilakukan adalah dengan memberikan edukasi tentang Pembudidayaan tanaman pertanian dari mulai sedini mungkin dimulai dari para siswa Sekolah Dasar yang dikemas semenarik mungkin dengan pertanian vertikultur. Kegitan pengabdian ini dilaksanakan di SMP Swasta RK Deli Murni Sibolangit. Metode yang digunakan untuk mengedukasi para siswa SMP adalah dengan pembuatan pertanian vertikultur menggunakan pot - pot yang memanjang ke atas dan dengan menggunakan rak yang disusun bertingkat. Dan diedukasikan tanaman yang ditanam adalah tanaman-tanaman sayuran. Pengabdian ini dilaksanakan oleh dosen berkolaborasi dengan mahasiswa dan sekolah mitra. Pelaksanaan Pengabdian ini bersesuaian dengan beberapa mata kuliah yang tercantum dalam kurikulum dan diaplikasikan kedalam kegiatan pengabdian terhadap masyarakat. Dari hasil pengabdian yang dilaksanakan terlihat antusias siswa - siswi SMP Swasta RK Deli Murni sibolangit sangat tinggi

Abstract

Pengabdian Masyarakat ini dilakukan di pesisir Daerah Kampung Nipah Desa Sei Nagalawan Kecamatan Perbaungan Kabupaten Serdang Bedagai. Problema yang dihadapi di Pantai Desa Sei Nagalawan Kabupaten Serdang Bedagai Provinsi Sumatera Utara adalah ancaman semakin menjoroknya bibir pantai ke daratan, akibat gerusan air laut, akibat deburan ombak. Situasi ini menimbulkan prakiraan bahwa semakin tahun pinggiran pantai terancam secara perlahan - lahan akan terkikis dan menyebabkan turunnya kualitas lingkungan hidup. Tujuan pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah untuk melakukan konservasi mangrove yang bernilai edukasi sebagai hutan pendidikan maka langkah pengelolaan yang dilaksanakan adalah memberikan pengetahuan, pemahaman dan wawasan untuk meningkatkan pemanfaatan kawasan mangrove dan pesisir sebagai media dan sumber belajar dalam kegiatan pembelajarn di sekolah.Dalam kegiatan ini meliputi seluruh kawasan ekosistem hutan mangrove, dan seluruh masyarakat yang bertempat tinggal di sekitar kawasan ekosistem hutan mangrove di Kampung Nipah Desa Sei Nagalawan, Kecamatan Perbaungan, Kabupaten Serdang Bedagai dan tehnik pengabdian masyarakat ini meliputi tehnik wawancara dan obervasi langsung ke lapangan untuk menentukan situasi permasalahan mitra dan upaya konservasi ekosistem mangrove yang diperoleh dari hasil observasi di daerah pengabdian masyarakat.Pelaksanaan kegiatan pengandian ini dengan Penanaman Mangrove di Pantai Kampung Nipah Desa Sei Nagalawan, Kabupaten Serdang Bedagai diikuti oleh dosen dan mahasiswa/i Program Studi Pendidikan Biologi Universitas Simalungun. Pelaksanaannya dilaksanakan selama 1 (satu) hari, dengan fokus kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat di Pantai mangrove Kampoeng Nipah Desa Sei Nagalawan adalah menambah jumlah pohon mangrove di lahan konservasi pesisir Pantai. Hasil dari pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah memberikan sosialisasi pentingnya menanam, menjaga dan merawat mangrove di pesisir pantai untuk mencegah abrasi pantai. Selain itu juga disampaikan kondisi mangrove saat ini dan peranan mangrove dalam mencegah abrasi pantai dan potensi mangrove untuk peningkatan ekonomi masyarakat. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat Prodi Pendidikan Biologi Universitas Simalungun dilakukan dengan menanam bibit mangrove sebanyak 50 bibit, yang dilakukan oleh Dosen dan Mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Biologi Universitas Simalungun setelah pemberian materi sosialisasi.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PKM) di kelurahan Sukamakmur Kecamatan Siantar Marihat Kota Pematang Siantar ini berupa penyuluhan tentang pentingnya mengkonsumsi yoghurt, kandungan dan metode Pembuatan yoghurt dengan menggunakan metode sederhana dan biaya yang relatif terjangkau. Kegiatan penyuluhan pembuatan yoghurt ini dilakukan untuk meningkatkan konsumsi makanan bergiji bagi masyarakat, khusunya berbahan susu. Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan masyarakat tentang manfaat mengkonsumsi yoghurt dan memberikan keterampilan baru untuk membuat yoghurt sendiri yang lebih terjangkau dan disukai. Respon Masyarakat Kelurahan Sukamakmur khususnya para ibu PKK terhadap penyuluhan ini cukup tinggi, ditunjukkan dengan angka kehadiran 80 % dari jumlah undangan. Pemahaman masyarakat terhadap pentingnya dan kandungan yoghurt serta cara pembuatan yoghurt yang benar menggunakan metode sederhana dan murah ini ditanggapi dengan sangat antusias oleh para ibu PKK. Hal ini ditunjukkan dengan dijadikannya pelatihan pembuatan yoghurt sebagai salah satu agenda kegiatan PKK di lingkungan kelurahan Sukamakmur
