Abstract

Ontological metaphor is used to conceptualize something abstract into something real. Ontological metaphors are found in sentences on hotel websites used as a form of promotion. This study has two objectives: 1) to find out the types of ontological Japanese metaphors on Japanese-language hotel websites in Bali, and 2) to explain the conceptual meaning of ontological metaphors on Japanese-language hotel websites in Bali. This study is qualitative research and takes a phenomenological approach. The research phase begins by observing the sentences on four hotel websites in South Bali. Furthermore, the data was collected using the observation method in conjunction with reading and note-taking techniques. The theory of conceptual metaphor developed by Lakoff and Johnson is used to analyze ontological metaphors. The data were analyzed using the identity method, namely explaining the conceptual meaning contained in the ontological metaphor. Ontological metaphors on hotel websites emphasize service and luxury. Services and luxuries as something abstract are visualized as things that can be felt and enjoyed by humans, therefore creating a metaphorical expression in the form of "enjoy the luxury" (zeitaku o sashimi kudasai). The results of the study show that there are four conceptualizations of ontological metaphors on Japanese-language hotel websites in Bali, namely: 1) stress or fatigue is something that can be eliminated; 2) service is something that can be felt; 3) luxury is something that can be enjoyed; and 4) memories are something luxurious. Children's language politeness and the role of parents in supervising and educating children on this platform are very important.

Abstract

his article analyzes and describes the beauty of language through the use of diction and language style in the lyrics of the song "Kokkyu" in the album "Play" by Masaki Suda. This article uses the stylistic theory proposed by Burhan Nurgiyantoro (2014). The data collection methods and techniques used in this article are the listening method with the note-taking technique. Meanwhile, the methods and techniques of data analysis, analyzed with descriptive methods and qualitative techniques. The method of presenting the results of data analysis using informal methods. The results of the analysis in this article, there are five beauties of language, namely, pleasant, touching, thrilling, touching and satisfied. There are four types of diction found, namely, diction based on connotative and denotative meanings, also diction based on lexical structures such as hyponyms and hypernyms. Then, there are three types of figurative language, namely, metaphor, rhetorical question, and antithesis.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the process and types of formation of wakamono kotoba on Natsuki Hanae's Youtube channel. The theory used in this study is the theory of wakamono kotoba word formation proposed by Akihiro Yonekawa. The data source used in this study is the primary data source obtained from the Natsuki Hanae Youtube video channel using the listen method. The data obtained were then analyzed using a qualitative descriptive method. Based on the results of the analysis of the data obtained, it can be seen that in the online video game Youtube channel Natsuki Hanae found three types and the process of formingwakamono kotoba, namely the formation of the word "Shouryaku" is the process of forming words by eliminating some parts of the vocabulary so that it becomes more complex. In short, in word formation, "Konkou" is a word formation process by combining two or more words into one word and "Shouryaku" type “Fukugou go san kasho ijou o shouryaku” is the eliminates two to three parts in a compound word consisting of two basic words.

Abstract

This article analyzes the use of code mixing in JKT48 song lyrics. The purpose of writing is to determine the types and forms of code mixing. This thesis uses Nababan's social linguistic theory in Padmadewi (2014). Sources of data studied in this study using primary data. The method used in this research is a qualitative method with an interpretive descriptive research type. And the data collection technique in this article uses the listening method, with note-taking techniques, and classification. While the method of presenting the results of data analysis using descriptive methods and qualitative techniques. The results of data analysis using informal methods. The types of code mixing found in the data are exit code mixing and code mixing forms found in the data, namely code mixing in the form of words, code mixing in the form of phrases, and code mixing in the form of sentences. The results of the data analysis of this study were 15 types of exit code mixing, 13 data word code mixing forms, 1 data code phrase mix form, and 1 data code sentence mix form.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the form of code mixing and the factors that cause code mixing in the lyrics of the song JKT48 by Yasushi Akimoto. In this research using sociolinguistic theory. Then, this research uses data collection methods and techniques used are the listening method and the note-taking technique. Methods and techniques of data analysis using descriptive qualitative method. This research uses the method of presenting the results of data analysis informally. Based on the results of the analysis, it was found that there were several forms of code mixing including the insertion of word elements, the insertion of phrase elements, the insertion of repetition of words, and the insertion of sentence elements. There are factors that cause code mixing, including because there are no appropriate words to explain the word and informal situation factors.

Abstract

This research aims to knowing the personality of the main character Legoshi in the Beastars anime. The theory used is the theory of literary psychology, namely Sigmund Freud's psychoanalytic personality theory. The source of data used in this study is the primary data source in the form of anime using the listen and note method. The data obtained were then analyzed using a qualitative descriptive method. Based on the results of the analysis of the data obtained, there are three personality structures in Legoshi, namely the id, ego, and superego.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze and describe the use of personification style in the song lyrics of the Orange Garden Pop, an album by Yoshioka Yui. This research used stylistic theory and the definition of style by Gorys Keraf. The data collection method and technique used in this research are the method of listening and the note-taking technique. Descriptive qualitative method for the data analysis method. Then, the method for presenting the results of the data analysis used informal method. The results based on this research showed that from the song lyrics there are 7 personification styles used to disguise the original meaning of the song lyrics entitled Feel My Soul, Merry Go Round, Rain, Oh Yeah and Love & Truth so as to have an effect that can play with the listener's feelings which are able to give feelings of pleasant, touching, sadness, and thrilling.

Abstract

This article discusses and aims to determine the personality of the main character Jun Naruse from the Animated Film Kokoro Ga Sakebitagatterunda by Mari Okada. This research was studied using descriptive qualitative method. The theory used is Sigmund Freud's subconscious theory and also the 7 classifications of emotions according to Krech which consist of the concept of guilt, pent-up guilt punishing oneself, shame, sadness and hatred. The data source in this study is the dialogue in the animated film Kokoro ga Sakebitagatterunda. This research uses the listening method and continues with the note-taking technique. The results of this analysis, found 9 data where two data are conscious and unconscious, and also 7 emotional classifications of Jun Naruse character. After analyzing 10 data, 9 out of 10 data have been obtained so that the researcher concludes that this Jun Naruse character is a mentally depressed person.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the meaning of physical violence on the characters Shuuhei and Akiko in the film Mother. The theory used in this research is Charles Sanders Peirce's semiotic theory of icons, indexes and symbols. The method used is descriptive qualitative method. Methods and techniques of data collection in this study using the method of listening to the advanced technique of note-taking. Presentation of data analysis using informal methods presented in ordinary words. The results of this study indicate that there are signs of physical violence on the characters of Akiko and Shuuhei in the form of punches, body throws, stampedes, grabs, slaps, drags, and kicks. The meanings of physical violence are (1) Ryou's angry expression towards Shuuhei, (2) emotional expression and hurt towards a partner that is vented to a child, (3) Kaede's angry expression towards Akiko for using Shuuhei, and (4) venting jealousy towards partner.

Abstract

Abstract The purpose of this study is to discuss the personality of the female lead, namely "Amemiya Hotaru" in the Japanese drama Hotaru no Hikari 2. Amemiya Hotaru is a workaholic woman because everyday she always likes to work and work overtime even though she is not ordered to. The theory used in this research is the theory of personality maturity from Gordon Allport. Data analysis methods and techniques used are descriptive qualitative. Meanwhile, methods and techniques for presenting the results of data analysis using informal methods. The results of the analysis found that Amemiya had personality maturity based on 7 categories of Gordon Allport's self-expansion which consisted of self-expansion, namely always eager to work, having warm relationships with other people, namely caring to the others, emotional security, which is roomy, having realistic perceptions, which is low. have a kind heart, have skills and tasks that are creative, have self-understanding that is self-aware, have a unifying philosophy of life, namely discipline. Keyword: Japanese Drama, Personality, Main Character, Japanese Woman Abstrak Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk membahas kepribadian pemeran utama wanita yaitu “Amemiya Hotaru” pada drama Jepang Hotaru no Hikari 2. Amemiya Hotaru adalah wanita yang gila kerja atau workaholic karena setiap harinya dia selalu suka bekerja dan lembur walaupun tidak diperintah. Teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah teori kematangan kepribadian dari Gordon Allport. Metode dan teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Sedangkan, metode dan teknik penyajian hasil analisis data menggunakan metode informal. Hasil analisis ditemukan bahwa Amemiya memiliki kematangan kepribadian berdasarkan 7 kategori perluasan diri Gordon Allport yang terdiri dari adanya perluasan diri yaitu selalu semangat bekerja, memiliki hubungan diri yang hangat dengan orang lain yaitu perhatian pada orang lain, keamanan emosional yaitu lapang dada, memiliki persepsi realistis yaitu rendah hati, memiliki keterampilan-keterampilan dan tugas-tugas yaitu kreatif, memiliki pemahaman diri yaitu sadar diri, memiliki filsafat hidup yang mempersatukan yaitu disiplin.
