Abstract

This study aims to develop and test the effectiveness of interactive e-books oriented to learning objectives and based on Problem Based Learning (PBL) in science learning. This interactive e-book is designed to support students in understanding science concepts more deeply through a structured problem-solving approach. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE development model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). Data collection was done through observation, questionnaire, and learning outcome test. The results showed that the interactive e-book developed had high validity based on the assessment of material experts and media experts. The implementation of this interactive e-book also significantly improved students' concept understanding and problem solving skills compared to conventional learning methods. Therefore, this PBL-based interactive e-book can be used as an effective alternative learning media to improve the quality of science learning in elementary schools. This research makes an important contribution to the development of digital learning media that is innovative and relevant to the needs of education in the digital era.

Abstract

The noodle-making training from dragon fruit peel waste (Hylocereus polyrhizus) in Gona Village, Kajuara Subdistrict, is a community service initiative aimed at developing local potential. About 20 members of the Gona Village community in Kajuara Subdistrict attended the socialization activity. The community participated in a socialization session regarding the nutritional content and product development based on dragon fruit peel. Organoleptic testing results of the product indicated that dragon fruit peel noodles were generally considered good by most people. Based on the results of this community service, it can be concluded that dragon fruit peel waste can be processed into noodles that have nutritional and economic value, which can be utilized to improve nutrition and income for the community in Gona Village.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi miskonsepsi yang dialami dengan menggunakan instrumen diagnostic four-tier. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskripstif kualitatif dengan menggambarkan beragam miskonsepsi yang dialami siswa pada konsep ion. Tes diagnostik four-tier digunakan untuk menemukan miskonsepsi ini. Tes diagnostik four-tier terdiri dari empat tingkat pertanyaan. Tingkat pertama mengacu pada pertanyaan utama, tingkat kedua mengacu pada keyakinan siswa dalam menjawab pertanyaan tingkat pertama, tingkat ketiga mengacu pada alasan siswa memilih pertanyaan tingkat pertama, dan tingkat keempat mengacu pada keyakinan siswa dalam menjawab pertanyaan tingkat ketiga. Representasi pada soal menggunakan representasi jamak yang terdiri dari representasi makroskopik, submikroskopik, dan representasi simbol. Instrument yang dikembangkan valid ditunjukkan dengan pengujian validitas oleh validator ahli. Subjek penelitian, siswa SMP kelas IX yang mempelajari materi atom molekul dan ion, memiliki reliabilitas tes sebesar 0,6. Penelitian ini berhasil menemukan miskonsepsi yang terjadi pada siswa yang berkaitan dengan konsep ion antara lain ; molekul merupakan gabungan ion-ion; muatan  positif pada ion menandakan pertambahan jumlah elektron sedangkan muatan negatif menandakan kehilangan elektron; molekul dan ion merupakan bentuk lain dari atom.

Abstract

Driving schools, especially elementary schools in Wajo Regency, have several learning communities with different teacher competencies. Most teachers have not fully mastered the differentiation learning process in the Merdeka Belajar curriculum. The aim of this mentoring activity is to assist learning community teachers in planning, organizing and implementing an effective and creative Merdeka curriculum learning process. The method used in this service is a workshop form which includes stages starting from self, collaboration space, contextual demonstration and real action. Meanwhile, the material in this service activity uses teaching materials that have been determined by the Directorate General of Teachers and Education Personnel, Ministry of Education and Culture, Research and Technology. The results of the service show that the learning community that was accompanied has been able to create a plan for real action for a quality learning process that will be implemented in their respective educational units. Apart from that, the participants increasingly understand the function and role of the Learning Community in improving student performance and solving every problem in the Education Unit

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of the cognitive conflict approach assisted by PhET Interactive Simulations on the critical thinking ability of elementary education students. The research employed a quasi-experimental method with a pretest–posttest control group design. The research subjects consisted of 50 fifth-grade students from SD Negeri 61 Palongki, who were divided into two groups: an experimental class and a control class, each comprising 25 students. The research instrument was an essay-type critical thinking test developed based on the five indicators proposed by Ennis (1985). The results revealed a significant difference between the critical thinking abilities of students in the experimental and control groups, with a t value of 4.85 and p < 0.05. The average N-Gain score of the experimental group was 0.67 (moderate–high category), which was higher than that of the control group at 0.34 (moderate category). The effect size (Cohen’s d) value of 0.92 indicated a strong influence of the cognitive conflict approach assisted by PhET Interactive Simulations. These findings confirm that the integration of the cognitive conflict approach with interactive simulation media can effectively foster students’ critical thinking skills through a process of conceptual restructuring and reflection-based learning experiences.

Abstract

Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran kepemimpinan transformasional kepala sekolah dalam mewujudkan sekolah ramah anak. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara semi terstruktur, observasi non partisipatif, dan analisis dokumen kebijakan sekolah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa praktik kepemimpinan transformasional kepala sekolah berkontribusi signifikan terhadap terciptanya lingkungan belajar yang aman, inklusif, dan berpusat pada anak. Terdapat tiga mekanisme utama yang menjadi kunci, yaitu: (1) visi dan nilai inspiratif yang menanamkan komitmen moral terhadap hak anak, (2) kolaborasi lintas pemangku kepentingan antara guru, orang tua, dan masyarakat, serta (3) inovasi pedagogis yang mendorong pembelajaran kreatif dan partisipatif. Meskipun demikian, implementasi di lapangan masih menghadapi tantangan berupa keterbatasan sumber daya, resistensi terhadap perubahan, dan minimnya waktu refleksi kolektif. Penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa kepemimpinan transformasional tidak hanya meningkatkan efektivitas organisasi sekolah, tetapi juga memperkuat budaya pendidikan yang etis, partisipatif, dan berpihak pada kesejahteraan anak.Kata Kunci: Kepemimpinan Transformasional, Sekolah Ramah Anak, Budaya Sekolah, Inklusi Pendidikan.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan literasi seni dan kemampuan ekspresi mahasiswa PGSD melalui workshop seni pertunjukan. Latar belakang kegiatan ini berangkat dari kebutuhan mahasiswa sebagai calon guru Sekolah Dasar untuk memiliki kompetensi dalam mengintegrasikan seni dalam pembelajaran agar lebih kreatif, komunikatif, dan menarik bagi peserta didik. Workshop dilaksanakan selama satu hari dengan tiga tahapan utama, yaitu tahap persiapan, tahap pelaksanaan, dan tahap evaluasi. Pada tahap pelaksanaan, peserta mendapatkan pemaparan materi dasar seni pertunjukan, demonstrasi teknik, dan praktik langsung melalui latihan ekspresi, vokal, dan gerak, yang diakhiri dengan pementasan singkat sebagai bentuk aplikasi. Metode pelaksanaan mengutamakan pendekatan partisipatif agar mahasiswa aktif terlibat dalam setiap proses. Data hasil kegiatan diperoleh melalui observasi selama workshop dan umpan balik peserta pada akhir sesi. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa workshop dapat meningkatkan pemahaman mahasiswa terhadap konsep seni pertunjukan, menumbuhkan rasa percaya diri, serta memberikan keterampilan praktis yang relevan untuk diterapkan dalam pembelajaran di sekolah dasar. Evaluasi kegiatan juga menunjukkan respons positif dari peserta yang merasa kegiatan ini menambah wawasan serta memperkaya kompetensi pedagogik mereka.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan literasi akademik dan keterampilan menulis artikel ilmiah mahasiswa Pendidikan Guru Sekolah Dasar Kampus VI UNM Bone dalam rangka mempersiapkan mereka mengikuti Program Kreativitas Mahasiswa (PKM). Berdasarkan hasil identifikasi kebutuhan, sebagian besar mahasiswa mengalami kesulitan dalam menulis artikel ilmiah secara sistematis, menggunakan sumber referensi akademik, serta mengembangkan argumentasi berbasis data. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan melalui pendekatan partisipatif-edukatif yang melibatkan tahapan analisis kebutuhan, pelatihan penulisan, praktik penyusunan artikel, serta klinik revisi dan evaluasi hasil karya. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan terhadap pemahaman struktur artikel ilmiah dan kemampuan berpikir ilmiah mahasiswa, dengan rata-rata peningkatan kompetensi sebesar 30,6%. Selain itu, mahasiswa menunjukkan peningkatan motivasi dan kesiapan mengikuti kompetisi PKM. Abstract

The rapid development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) requires prospective primary school teachers to possess adequate AI literacy and scientific communication skills, particularly in presenting research proposals in an engaging and well-argued manner. Preliminary observations of sixth-semester PGSD (Primary School Teacher Education) students at Bone indicated that 72% experienced difficulties in structuring and delivering their proposals, as reflected in incoherent presentation flow, less communicative visuals, and limited use of digital presentation technologies. This community service program aimed to enhance students’ AI literacy and scientific presentation skills through training on the use of Canvas Gemini as an interactive medium for research proposal presentations. The program employed a participatory–educative approach through stages of socialization, technical training, mentoring, and evaluation, involving 30 PGSD Bone students. Data were collected through observation, a 15-item multiple-choice pretest–posttest, assessment of interactive slide products, and a participant response questionnaire. The results showed an increase in the average score of understanding and skills from 56.4 (pretest) to 88.2 (posttest). Approximately 80% of participants succeeded in producing at least one interactive slide representing the research problem or conceptual framework more coherently, while 94% stated that the training was relevant to their academic needs and 89% expressed interest in using Canvas Gemini for future presentations.

Abstract

This research is a quantitative research type of experimental research with a quasi-experimental design in the from of a Nonequivelent Control Group Design. The study aimed to determine whether there was a significant effect of the use of the Estafet Writing learning model on students’ short story writing skills in Indonesia language subjects for fourth-grade students of SD Negeri 22 Jeppe’e Tanete Riattang Barat, District Bone Regency. The variables in this study werw the Estafet Writing learning model as the independent variable and students’ short story writing skills as the dependent variable. The population in this study is all fourth-grade students of SD Negeri 22 Jeppe’e Tanete Riattang Barat District, probabilitBone Regency, totalling 30 students. This study uses a non-y sampling technique or saturated sample. The data collection technique used was a performance test in the from of short story writing. The data analysis techniques for this study are descriptive statistical analysis and inferential statictical analysis. The result of study show that descriptively, the average posttest of the experimental class was 78.20, while the average posttest score of the control class was 57.07. Based on inferential analysis using the Independent Samples t-Test, the results indicated a significant difference in shory story writing skills between the experimental class (Class A) and the control class (Class b) in Indonesia language subjects at SD Negeri 22 Jeppe’e, Tanete Riattang Barat District, Bone Regency. Therefore, it can be concluded that the use of the Estafet Writing learning model had a significant effect on students’ short story writing skills in Indonesia language subjects for fourt-grade students of SD Negeri 22 Jeppe’e Tanete Riattang Barat District, Bone Regency.
