Abstract

Stunting is currently still a public health problem related to chronic malnutrition. Stunting cases also occur in Narmada District, West Lombok Regency, which has productive rice fields, livestock and poultry can develop well. The still high number of stunting cases is related to low nutritional intake, unequal gender roles in household food security and efforts to prevent stunting in the household. This community service activity (PKM) is aimed at raising awareness among men as part of society, religious leaders and community leaders regarding stunting and efforts to prevent it. Apart from that, this PKM activity is also aimed at optimizing the role of religious leaders, community leaders and youth leaders in carrying out stunting awareness outreach and prevention efforts to the community, especially men. The method for implementing extension activities is carried out in stages, namely the first stage at the village level and the second stage at the hamlet level. The method used is a participatory counseling method, namely brainstorming, participatory lectures, questions and answers, discussions and practice. The implementation of extension activities ran smoothly and effectively. There has been an increase in knowledge and a growing positive attitude towards extension materials. This is demonstrated by the compilation of a collection of outreach materials (Pocket Books), the enthusiastic attitude of local resource persons and the active feedback/participation of participants during the question and answer sessions and discussions.

Abstract

Conversion of forest land into agricultural land is a serious concern in the Kelep watershed. Agricultural methods applied without proper application of soil preservation and agrotechnology have resulted in significant erosion and reduced land productivity. Efforts to manage the Kelep watershed must be carried out by combining the interests of soil and water conservation with increase in agricultural production. The first step is to evaluate the capability of the land in this area. The aim of this study is to formulate a direction for land use for sustainable corn-based agriculture according to its capability class in the Kelep watershed. The results showed that the Kelep watershed was dominated by land with class IV 5,335.3 ha (48.02%) and VI 3,493.04 ha (30.95%) and III 1,813.71 ha (16. 32%) with the inhibiting factors for all land capability classes being the sensitivity of soil erosion (low-medium-rather high), slopes (wavy-wavy-slightly steep), and erosion damage (medium-rather heavy and heavy). Land with ability classes II, III and IV, can be utilized for the cultivation of Corn Plants (Zea Mays), accompanied by the application of agrotechnology and proper soil and water conservation so that it is sustainable, while land in class VI is not suitable for Corn cultivation, preferably for vegetation. permanent or forest in combination with the development of understorey plants with agroforestry patterns.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the implementation of tourism policies in the development of Jerowaru Tourism Village, East Lombok, as a strategic initiative for rural empowerment and poverty alleviation in coastal areas. Using a qualitative case study method and grounded in Woolcock’s social capital theory, this research involved field observations, in-depth interviews with community stakeholders, and documentation analysis. The findings reveal that policy implementation aligns with various national and regional regulations, including the Tourism Law, Regional Autonomy Law, and the 2021 NTB Governor Regulation. Three key dimensions support the tourism village policy: (1) coordination, communication, and disposition among stakeholders; (2) the active role of youth-driven tourism awareness groups (Pokdarwis) in fostering community participation; and (3) grassroots initiatives that emphasize environmental sustainability and local identity. The tourism village has leveraged the 3A framework—Attractions, Amenities, and Accessibility—while empowering local actors to lead management and innovation. The novelty of this study lies in demonstrating how social capital functions as a bridge between policy implementation and grassroots empowerment, enhancing both community capacity and local economic resilience. The research recommends stronger multi-stakeholder collaboration and targeted policy support to reinforce tourism-based village development models within broader social science and humanities discourse.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui besarnya pendapatan serta komtribusi usahatani jagung pada pendapatan rumah tangga di Kecamatan Jerowaru. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di desa Ekas Buana dan Pemongkong dengan pertimbangan kedua desa ini memiliki produksi jagung yang tinggi di Kecamatan Jeriowaru. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah deskriptif dengan teknik survey, lokasi penelitian dipilih secara purposive sampling dengan pertimbangan petani jagung terbanyakyang berada di kecamatan Jerowaru. Pemilihan petani Jagung sebagai responden yaitu sebanyak 30 orang dengan pertimbangan 30 orang tersebut dapat mewakili populasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan pendapatan usahatani jagung adalah 14.021.652/LLG dengan R/C Rasio 1.2 yang menunjukkan bahwa usahatani jagung layak untuk diusahakan serta usaha non pertanian sebesar 2.514.667/LLG dengan kontribusinya terhadap pendapatan rumah tangga sebesar 15% sedangkan kontribusi usahatani jagung terhadap pendapatan rumah tangga di Kecamatan Jerowaru sebesar 85% yang artinya usahatani jagung memiliki kontribusi yang sangat tinggi terhadap pendapatan rumah tangga di Kecamatan Jerowaru sehingga usahatani jagung layak untuk diusahakan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui besarnya tingkat pendapatan dan kelayakan usahatani tebu yang telah dilaksanakan di Kecamatan Pekat Kabupaten Dompu NTB. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif dengan teknik survey, lokasi penelitian di pilih secara purposive sampling dengan pertimbangan petani tebu terbanyak yang berada di kawasan PT Sukses Mantap Sejahtera(SMS), pemilihan petani tebu sebagai responden dengan menentukan jatah(kuota) 35 orang kemudian di uji tingkat pendapatan yang diterima. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pendapatan usahatani tebu petani adalah Rp. 13.183.244/Ha pada 1 musim panen (12 bulan), kemudian dari pendapatan petani, dilakukan analisa sehingga mendapatkan nilai R/C ratio sebesar 2,5. Artinya bahwa R/C ratio lebih dari 1, maka usahatani tebu di Kecamatan Pekat Kabupaten Dompu menguntungkan dan memiliki prospek pengembangan lanjutan kedepannya.

Abstract

Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk mengevaluasi keberlanjutan usahatani kopi Arabika di Desa Sajang pada lahan kering, dengan mempertimbangkan aspek-aspek ekologi seperti penggunaan air, pupuk, dan praktik pertanian berkelanjutan. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan metode purposive sampling untuk memilih 100 responden. Analisis keberlanjutan dilakukan menggunakan metode MDS dengan teknik ordinasi RAP-Farm yang dimodifikasi dari RAPFISH(Rapid Appraisal of Fisheries). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keberlanjutan ekologi kopi Arabika di Desa Sajang secara umum baik dan sangat berkelanjutan, dengan indeks keberlanjutan mencapai 81,45. Namun, nilai rendah pada atribut kesuburan tanah (2,44) menunjukkan dampak yang terbatas dibandingkan dengan faktor lain seperti daya dukung air

Abstract

Kesenjangan gender partisipasi petani dalam kegiatan penyuluhan pertanian masih  terjadi hingga saat ini. Sementara, partisipasi perempuan dalam pelaksanaan dan pengambilan keputusan dalam kegiatan usahatani tergolong tinggi. Memberikan kesempatan perempuan untuk belajar sepanjang hidup melalui pendidikan non formal yaitu kegiatan penyuluhan pertanian berarti mendukung Negara RI Indonesia mencapai tujuan SDGs, yaitu pendidikan yang berkualitas. Penyelenggaraan kegiatan penyuluhan pertanian yang berkualitas dapat menjamin kesetaraan gender pada  pengetahuan dan keterampilan dalam kegiatan usahatani. Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PKM) bertujuan meningkatkan kemampuan penyuluh pertanian dalam mengelola penyelenggaraan penyuluhan yang responsive gender, meningkatkan kesetaraan partisipasi dalam penyuluhan, kesetaraan pengetahuan dan keterampilan. Kegiatan PKM ini dilakukan secara berjenjang yaitu: pertama melibatkan penyuluh pertanian, kepala dan staf kantor UPTPP Jerowaru dan kedua melibatkan anggota kelompok tani dan kelompok wanita tani Desa Sepapan. Metode yang digunakan brainstorming, ceramah yang partisipatif dan diskusi kelompok kecil. Pelaksanaan kegiatan PKM bagi penyuluh di tingkat UPTPP, kelompok tani dan kelompok wanita tani di Desa berjalan dengan baik dan partisipatif. Keberadaan dan kemampuan penyuluh pertanian telah mampu meningkatkan kesetaraan gender dalam berpartisipasi aktif dimana mereka mampu curah pendapat, sharing pengetahuan dan pengalaman dalam berusahatani. Kesimpulannya adalah kemampuan penyuluh mengelola kegiatan penyuluhan yang responsive gender perlu didukung dengan komitmen yang tinggi. Kemampuan perempuan berpartisipasi aktif pada kegiatan penyuluhan pertanian, terjadinya kesetaraan pengetahuan dan keterampilan dapat terjadi secara berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Extension workers play a crucial role in the strategic agricultural sector. This study aims to: (1) Describe extension services based on farmers' perceptions of importance and performance, (2) Examine the performance of agricultural extension service attributes from the perspective of farmers' satisfaction in Karang Sidemen Village, Batu Kliang Utara Subdistrict, (3) Provide solutions to improve farmers' satisfaction by enhancing the quality of extension workers' performance. A descriptive-exploratory approach was employed, using surveys, interviews, and questionnaires with quota sampling, involving 4 respondents per farmer group (chairpersons and active members). Data were analyzed using Importance Performance Analysis (IPA). Results indicate that the performance of extension workers in Karang Sidemen Village is relatively satisfactory, with an average score of 3.1. However, farmers' expectations exceed the performance delivered, with a positive comparison score of 1.217 out of 5.0. This underscores the need to improve extension service quality to better meet farmers' expectations.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of extension workers based on gender, the level of success of farmer groups in this case in behavior change, and the relationship between the role of extension workers and changes in the behavior of farmer groups. The research was conducted in Taliwang District using survey techniques. Structured interviews were conducted with 48 farmer respondents and in-depth interviews with extension workers. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, different test statistics, and Spearman's rank correlation. Research has found that female extension workers have a higher role than men, the level of behavior change in members of the farmer groups assisted by female extension workers is higher than in male extension workers. however, there is a correlation between the roles of both male and female extension workers with an increase in changes in the behavior of farmer group members. Thus, both female and male extension workers have the same potential to change farmer behavior. It is hoped that male extension workers can take the same approach as female extension workers, namely conducting coaching to the farmer groups under their supervision very intensively and using methods appropriate to the group's characteristics.

Abstract

The existence of agricultural instructors is very important for women farmers to improve women's technical abilities in corn farming on dry land and support the realization of SDGs in the field of education in Pujut District, Central Lombok. The aim of this research is to analyze the role of agricultural instructors and the level of technical abilities of women farmers in corn farming as well as the correlation between the role of agricultural instructors and the level of technical abilities of women farmers. Data collection for this descriptive research was collected using interview techniques using questionnaires from 60 respondents in Mertak Village and Sukadana Village. The collected data was processed and analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics, namely Spearman's Rank Correlations. The results of this research are that the level of technical ability of women farmers in corn farming is relatively high, the role of agricultural instructors is quite high, and there is a strong correlation between the role of instructors and the level of women's technical abilities.
