Abstract

This study examines the effect of career path and achievement motivation on organizational sustainability, mediated by innovative work behavior and moderated by perceived organizational support. Participants were all indirect employees of an international manufacturing group in Japan, Australia, and Indonesia totaling 4462 employees, of whom 256 were selected. Data were collected using research instruments distributed to all employees in three languages using a back-translation system. Simple mediation and moderation regression analysis techniques using structural equation modeling with Partial Least Squares 3.0 program were used. The results indicate that CP, AM, and IWB have positive and significant effects on OS. IWB mediation had a positive and significant effect on the mediation of CP and AM on OS. The moderating effect of POS on IWB had a positive and significant effect on OS. The significance of moderation is clarified based on the slope analysis, in which the greater the POS toward IWB, the stronger the support for OS. The study is novel in its use of POS as a moderating variable. This study enriches the theoretical and practical implications of managing employees CP and AM toward OS.

Introduction: Bank digital transformation is a continuous innovation from conventional commercial banks to digital banks. The driving force in traditional retail banks to carry out sustainable innovation can be seen from the internal and external sides in the form of mutually supportive operations and strategies. In the face of competitive pressures, businesses in the financial services industry increasingly depend on innovation and sustainability to succeed and survive. The stress of business competition has made many banks worldwide close their branch offices in recent years. Method: This study is a literature study that collects theoretical references relevant to sustainable innovation in financial institutions, focusing on two main topics: sustainable digital technology innovation in Fintech and banks' digital transformation. Result: Fintech uses digital technology as a sustainable solution in offering financial inclusion services that are difficult for old players in the financial industry to fulfill. Fintech appears in peer-to-peer lending, virtual marketplaces and digital currencies. Financial Services Authority Regulation Number 51/POJK.03/2017 concerning implementing Sustainable Finance for Financial Services Institutions, Issuers and Public Companies. Financial Services Authority Regulation Number 13/POJK.02/2018 concerning Digital Financial Innovation in the Financial Services Sector. Conclusion: The driving force in the Company to carry out sustainable innovation can be seen from the internal and external sides in the form of mutually supportive operations and strategies. The proposed digital transformation strategy for the Bank's continuous innovation is as follows: compliance with regulators, customer-centric, openness principles, and making digital a core value in business.

Abstract

This study examines the roles of Green Organizational Capital (GOC) and Green Relational Capital (GRC) in enhancing Corporate Sustainability Performance (CSP), with Green Innovation (GI) as a mediator and Knowledge Management Systems (KMS) as a moderator within Pertamina's Fuel Terminal operations. A qualitative approach was used, employing semi-structured interviews, document analysis, and observations. Data were analyzed thematically to uncover patterns and relationships. GOC and GRC significantly impact CSP, with GI serving as a critical mediator. However, KMS has a limited moderating role, indicating gaps in integrating knowledge systems into sustainability practices. This study contributes to the understanding of Green Intellectual Capital (GIC) and identifies areas for improving KMS in sustainability efforts. Organizations should strengthen internal structures, external relationships, and knowledge management to promote green innovation and long-term sustainability. The study offers a novel framework integrating GIC, GI, and KMS in the energy sector, providing actionable insights for emerging economies.
