Abstract

An experiment has been conducted to determine the amount of deformation energy and energy per volume needed for the design of coconut oil press machines. By using a press tube with a diameter of 59 mm and by varying the load of press and speed of press the results obtained that to produce the optimal average volume of coconut oil are at the pressure load of 40 KN and the pressure rate of 6 mm / minute. The ideal energy per volume used to suppress coconut oil press machine is 6.106 J / m3.

Abstract

The mechanism of the drying process is the process of heat transfer and mass transfer that takes place simultaneously. The pressure of the water vapor in the acid gelugur is higher than that on the surface interface of the gums and air acids. Intensity solar radiation averages around 300-590w / m2 and Ambient Temperature 28,830C. The hot air condition in the drying box averages 320C. The content of total citric acid gelugur acid was 1.2787% with 3mm slice thickness and 1.3981% with a 5mm slice thickness. Drying is done from 08.00-17.00 am with a hot air flow rate of 1.5m/s.

Abstract

A product that will be mass produced requires an initial prototype so that it can assess whether a product design meets the desired criteria and is ready to be mass produced. For the purposes of making the initial prototyping, one alternative is to use 3D printing. Prototyping is an early example of a concept as part of the product development process. Rapid Prototyping allows the visualization of a 3D (three-dimension) image into an original three-dimensional object that has a volume. In addition, rapid prototyping products can also be used to test certain parts. In the design process the 2017 Solidworks software and manufacturing process are used anet type 3D printer. In the manufacturing process many 3D Printer parameters must be regulated and very influential on the manufacturing results to be obtained, including the 3D printer parameter settings in the slicing process. This is a process that is very influential on the results, where the process of slicing the material temperature, printing speed, wall thickness, layer thickness and support must be set properly. In the future it is expected that research on 3D printing manufacturing results with the same printer parameters for the design results of some CAD software.

Abstract

The success of the welding process is the occurrence of good and strong welding joints that are inseparable from the influence of the heat source. The problem that often occurs when welding is a distortion that can trigger the initial formation of cracks. By predicting the level of welding distortion beforehand, engineers can also reduce the amount of rework by reverse design and distortion margins. That is why with current technological developments it is possible to carry out simulations based on analytical solutions that are implemented through the use of software, where in this study the authors sought to model the temperature of the HAZ region in the Butt Joint process using MSC Marc Mentat. The simulation results show that the heat source is very determining the occurrence of distortion and pressure on the surface. This is caused by the phenomenon of melting and shrinkage that occurs in a short time.

Abstract

Keberadaan Pengkondisan Udara (AC) tidak terlepas dari aspek kehidupan sehari-hari. Pengkondisian Udara memanfaatkan prinsip termodinamika siklus kompresi uap. COP merupakan parameter untuk melihat kinerja dari mesin pendingin tersebut. Dalam penelitian ini, salah satu cara untuk meningkatkan COP dari mesin Pendingin adalah memodifikasi siklus 1 tingkat menjadi siklus 2 tingkat. Karya inimengkaji perbandingan model siklus kompresi uap 2 tingkat dengan beberapa variasi. Perbandingan ini menggunakan sofware ASPEN PLUS V10 untuk melihat performansi dari setiap varian. Untuk fluida kerja (Refrigeran) yang digunakan adalah R-32. Dari hasil simulasi Varian no III menunjukkan nilai COP yang lebih tinggi dari pada varian lainnya.

Abstract

Energy storage such as vanadium redox flow batteries (VRFB) has increased to store renewable energy resources in the last decade. However, the unbalanced crossover level of vanadium is often a major constraint which has a significant impact on battery capacity and life cycle in long-term operation. Performing an asymmetric electrolyte volume is one of many ways to solve this problem. The different volumes on the positive and negative sides were analyzed to see their effect in suppressing the decrease in VRFB capacity. With the result of the optimal electrolyte excess ratio, long-term cycle performance was carried out to investigate the reduction in capacity of VRFBs.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji dan meniliai keefektifan pengering surya yg kontiniu dan terintegrasi dengan pengeringan penyimpanan panas dikombinasikan dengan molekuler13 (Na86 [(AlO2)86 (SiO2)106] 264H2O) sebagai penahan kelembapan. Hasil menunjukkan pada kondisi terik matahari, temperature didalam ruang pengering cenderung berbeda antara 42.100C-46.600C dan rata rata 6.700C -11.180C diatas tempratur ambient, rata rata kelembapan 68.94% dengan rata rata kecepatan udara 1.16m/s. Pengeringan konvensional membutuhkan waktu selama 5 hari dengan temperatur maksimum 35.420C pada rata rata kecepatan angin 0.7m/s. Waktu pengeringan dengan menggunakan desikkan dan tanpa menggunakan desikkan adalah 35 jam dimana bobot 8.207.kg pakai desikkan dan bobot 8.370.kg tanpa desikkan dengan kadar air 13%, sementara pengeringan konvensional membutuhkan waktu 120 jam atau 5 hari dengan suhu maksimum 35.420C dan suhu rata rata 29.700C. Mutu aroma kopi oleh tim teaster bahwa yang memakai desikkan cenderung aroma aromatic better dan coklat, caramel serta rasa pahit yang kuat, sementara tanpa desikkan ada rasa pahit agak lemah dan rasa defect

Abstract

This research studied the corrosion resistance of low carbon steel that has been coated with nickel in NaCl solution by the Immersion Corrosion method with 3.5% NaCl liquid. Coating is done to increase the wear resistance of low carbon steel. The coating is done by electroplating process, with various voltages of 3V, 3.5V, 4V and 5V and the liquid is heated to a temperature of 44-60oC in the immersion time range of 30 minutes, 40 minutes and 50 minutes for each voltage variation. From the results of the study, it was found that the longer the immersion time in the electroplating process, the thicker the resulting layer with the addition of about 4 - 8µm for each difference in immersion time.

Abstract

The lack of public knowledge about Legal Aid and guarantees of public understanding regarding the Procedures for Obtaining Legal Aid that can be received free of charge by underprivileged people causes losses for the community. The aim of this writing is to obtain a clear picture of the reallife system of society, explore understanding of the law and legal problems that exist in society, and help the public obtain free understanding and assistance in resolving legal problems experienced in everyday life. The method in this writing uses empirical legal research methods. So, in this writing we found important steps to increase public awareness about people's rights and how to get access to the free legal assistance they need. Legal education about free legal aid can help people who are unable to understand people's rights and how people can take advantage of free legal aid to overcome the legal problems they are experiencing.

Abstract

Bantuan hukum Cuma-Cuma adalah merupakan hak bagi setiap warga negara yang dapat digunakan kapanpun selama ketentuan yang dipersyaratkan dapat dipenuhi oleh setiap warga negara namun pada kenyataan ditengah masyarakat, hak tersebut tidak dapat terealisasi dikarenakan kurangnya pemahaman masyarakat tentang eksistensi penggunaan bantuan hukum Cuma-Cuma dan prosedur penggunaan bantuan hukum Cuma-Cuma bagi setiap masyarakat yang membutuhkan. Pemahaman tentang penerapan bantuan hukum Cuma-Cuma menjadi tanggung jawab pemerintah melalui berbagai lembaga yang ada, lembaga bantuan hukum dan lembaga pendidikan. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat  (PKM) terkait sosialisasi Bantuan hukum Cuma-Cuma, Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat  (PKM) terkait sosialisasi dan edukasi masyarakat tentang penggunaan dan prosedur tahapan penggunaan bantuan hukum dan landasan hukum penerapan bantuan hukum Cuma-Cuma kepada masyarakat. Kegiatan ini dihadiri oleh sebanyak 50 orang peserta yang merupakan aparat Kelurahan, Tokoh Masyarakat dan Masyarakat dari Kelurahan Jawa, Kegiatan dilakukan dengan metode ceramah dan diskusi terkait teknis penggunaan bantuan hukum Cuma-Cuma dan prosedur pengajuan bantuan hukum cuma-Cuma pelaksanaan kegiatan menghasilkan pemahaman masyarakat tentang prosedur penyelesaian persoalan pidana dan keperdataan. Berdasarkan monitoring selama kegiatan terhadap problema masyarakat dalam memahami dan mendapatkan layanan bantuan hukum dan konsultasi hukum secara Cuma-Cuma yang dijamin oleh undang-undang dan evaluasi di akhir kegiatan menunjukkan partisipasi masyarakat dalam kegiatan ini sangat tinggi, rasa keingintahuan  serta  keberhasilannya  dalam  menyimak  materi  yang  disampaikan  terindikasi  pada  jawaban-jawaban yang diberikan sangat memuaskan. Sebanyak 5 pertanyaan uraian yang diberikan secara tertulis mampu dijawab oleh ke 50 peserta kegiatan tersebut dan mampu dijawab secara benar. Strengthening Community Understanding of the Use of Free Legal Aid and Legal Consultation Abstract Free legal aid is a right for every citizen which can be used at any time as long as the required provisions can be fulfilled by every citizen, but in reality in society, this right cannot be realized due to a lack of public understanding about the existence of the use of free legal aid and procedures for using free legal assistance for every person in need. Understanding the implementation of free legal aid is the responsibility of the government through various existing institutions, legal aid institutions and educational institutions. Community service activities (PKM) related to the socialization of free legal aid. Community service activities (PKM) related to the socialization and education of the public regarding the use and procedures for the stages of using legal aid and the legal basis for implementing free legal aid to the community. This activity was attended by 50 participants who were Village officials, Community Leaders and the Community from Java Village. The activity was carried out using lecture and discussion methods related to the technicalities of using free legal aid and procedures for applying for free legal aid. Based on monitoring during the activity and evaluation at the end of the activity, it showed that community participation in this activity was very high, their curiosity and success in listening to the material presented was indicated by the answers given which were very satisfying. A total of 5 descriptive questions given in writing were able to be answered by the 50 participants in the activity.
