Abstract

Air conditioners (ACs) are widely used cooling devices in various places such as homes, offices, ANDeducational institutions. Continuous use of ACs often leads to malfunctions that require hANDling bytechnicians. However, newly graduated technicians often struggle to diagnose malfunctions efficiently due toa lack of experience. To address this issue, this research aims to develop a web-based expert system using theforward chaining method, designed to assist AC technicians in diagnosing malfunctions quickly ANDaccurately. The forward chaining method is employed to trace symptoms through a series of questions thathelp technicians identIFy the parts that need repair, covering 30 symptoms AND 13 AC malfunctions. Thisexpert system is expected to improve the efficiency of technicians in diagnosing AND repairing ACs. Theresults of the research indicate that the developed expert system functions well, facilitates technician accessfrom anywhere with a user-friendly interfaceKeywords: Air conditioner, expert system, forward chaining, malfunction diagnosis, web-based.

Abstract

Diabetes mellitus is a illness that significantly affects the global population. This study explores theimplementation of Naive Bayes to predict diabetes mellitus. The problems faced include the complexity ofclinical datasets, feature diversity, and the need for accurate predictions. The proposed solution is to usethe Naive Bayes classification algorithm that utilizes a simple but strong assumption about featureindependence. The system is described with steps involving data pre-processing, dataset partitioning,Naive Bayes model training, and performance evaluation. The datasets used include age, gender, weight,HbA1C, fasting blood sugar. The results and testing show that the Naive Bayes model can provide fairlyaccurate predictions for diabetes mellitus, with performance assessed through evaluation metrics such as ,recall, accuracy, F1-score, and precision. In conclusion, the implementation of Naive Bayes is a fairlyeffective approach to predicting diabetes mellitus. In this study, The performance of the Naïve Bayesmethod is considered quite accurate, this is evidenced in the highest accuracy score of 85.71%. Despite itssimplicity, this algorithm can handle the complexity of the dataset and provide reliable predictions.Keywords: Diabetes Mellitus, Data Mining, Machine Learning, Classification, and Naïve Bayes.

Abstract

In the current digital era, the use of information and communication technology is very important to support the development of the tourism industry. Utilization of web-based information systems can be an effective solution to overcoming the problem of lack of information. Web-based information system provides accurate, complete and up-todate tourist destination information and can be accessed by anyone, anytime, anywhere.to ensure the development of information systems that are appropriate and in accordance with user needs, a research and development (r&d) approach was chosen in this research. The r&d approach includes a series of systematic steps starting from initial research to understand needs and problems, to system design and development, to system evaluation and improvement. With this approach, it is hoped that the resulting information system can become an effective means of promoting and increasing the tourist attraction of sumber boto. Sumber boto is a natural tourist destination with unspoiled natural beauty, clear water flow and a calm and cool atmosphere. This natural beauty is a special attraction for tourists who want to enjoy natural beauty and seek tranquility, far from the noise and hustle and bustle of the city. Tourism is one of the industries that has a strategic role in encouraging economic growth in a region. Abstract

Along with the development of information technology, various aspects of life have undergone significant changes, including in the field of healthcare. Healthcare services are crucial in society, yet they face challenges in patient queue management. Long and disorganized queues can cause discomfort and dissatisfaction among patients, as well as disrupt the workflow of medical staff. At the general practice of Dr. Pudji Umbaran, M.Kp in Peterongan District, Jombang Regency, queue management often encounters issues due to a manual and inefficient registration system. This study aims to design and implement a patient queue system based on a website using the First In, First Out (FIFO) method to enhance time efficiency and service fairness. This method prioritizes patients based on their Arrival time, significantly reducing Waiting times and improving patient satisfaction. The research findings demonstrate that implementing the FIFO method effectively manages patient queues at the general practice, resulting in a significant decrease in waiting and processing times. This system offers an efficient solution to enhance service quality and operational efficiency in the doctor's practice. Keywords: Queue, FIFO, Practice, Service.

Abstract

This research aims to develop a website that can diagnose damage to injection motorbikes using the forward chaining method, with a case study carried out at the Zafran Motor Workshop. to this research is the increasing complexity of injection systems on motorbikes, which often makes it difficult for motorbike owners to identify and repair damage that occurs. The diagnosis process begins with receiving input of injection motor damage symptoms from the user through a friendly and easy to understand interface. The system uses the forward chaining method to evaluate the entered symptoms and develop existing rules to identify the cause of the damage. The diagnosis results are based on 43 symptoms, 27 types of damage, and 7 rules for diagnosing injection motor damage. This research succeeded in designing a website to diagnose injection motor damage using the forward chaining method The majority of respondents (84%) were very satisfied with the performance of this website, while 4% were satisfied, 8% were quite satisfied, and 4% were dissatisfied. Surveys show the majority find the website easy to use with an intuitive interface and clear instructions for use. Thus, this research produces an injection motor damage diagnosis website that is effective and reliable in determining the cause of damage accurately. The main contribution of this research is to provide a solution that makes it easier for users to diagnose injection motor problems independently, with reliable diagnostic results and a user-friendly interface. Abstract

Spinach or amaranthus is a type of green plant commonly consumed by the public and has a long history as a highly nutritious food. Typically, this plant only exhibits mild symptoms of pests and diseases during early stages, which are often overlooked by farmers as common occurrences during the growing season. However, when these symptoms escalate and spread extensively, it is often too late to control them, resulting in decreased productivity or even crop failure. In addressing this issue, an Android-based application system has been developed to identify diseases in spinach plants. The choice of an Androidbased application was due to its cost and time efficiency. Based on conducted research, the author designed a system utilizing the Bayes' Theorem method for diagnosing diseases in spinach plants. This system is capable of providing rapid diagnosis results, including certainty percentages and recommended treatment solutions. Abstract

General Elections (Pemilu) are a crucial pillar of Indonesian democracy, and their success heavily relies on effective oversight. The District Election Supervisory Committee (Panwascam) plays a vital role in ensuring the integrity of elections at the district level. This research aims to design and implement a Decision Support System (DSS) for the recruitment process of the Panwascam at Bawaslu Ponorogo Regency. The Panwascam selection process often faces challenges due to the large number of applicants, which can make it difficult for the selection team to determine the best candidates according to the established criteria. To overcome these issues, a web-based DSS utilizing the Simple Multi-Attribute Rating Technique (SMART) method was developed. The SMART method was chosen for its ability to analyze and assign weights to various criteria transparently and simply, thereby generating more objective and efficient selection recommendations. The output of this system is a final SMART calculation result that can be used by Bawaslu Ponorogo Regency as a recommendation in the decision-making process for accepting Panwascam members. It is expected that with this SMART-based DSS, the Panwascam selection process can run faster and more accurately, and reduce subjectivity in determining successful candidates. The system's accuracy evaluation shows a Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE) of 0.0048%, confirming a high consistency and reliability between the system's calculation results and manual calculations.

Abstract

The internet has become a very vital infrastructure in supporting various academic and administrative activities in higher education. This research aims to evaluate the performance of the internet network at ITEBIS PGRI Dewantara Jombang using the Quality of Service (QoS) method, which includes measuring parameters such as Throughput, Delay (Latency), Packet Loss, and Jitter. The application of the QoS method proved effective in providing a clear picture of network performance, which was measured in various campus locations such as PPSI, Library, and KPM. Using a web-based application developed with the Laravel framework, network performance data can be managed and visualized easily, allowing Admins and Heads to manage and monitor network service quality in real-time. The results show that locations such as PPSI have excellent service quality with an average index value of 3.5, while other locations such as the Library and KPM have sufficient service quality with an average index value of 2. Although the available bandwidth is quite large, problems such as uneven traffic distribution or sub-optimal configuration need to be fixed to improve service quality in some locations.

Abstract

Air quality is an important factor that affects human health, especially in densely populated urban areas. This research aims to develop an Internet of Things (IoT)-based air quality monitoring information system using the Fuzzy Mamdani method. The problem faced is the lack of an air quality monitoring system that can provide real-time data in Jombang Square, which is an area with a high level of vehicles. The method used in this study is Fuzzy Mamdani, which allows the processing of data from sensors to determine the air quality category, which is good, bad, or harmful. The system uses an ESP-12 NodeMCU microcontroller, an MQ-135 sensor to detect carbon monoxide (CO), and a DHT11 sensor to measure temperature and humidity. The collected data will be analyzed and displayed in real-time through the blynk app, which also notifies users when the air quality reaches dangerous levels. The test results showed that the system was able to classify air quality with good accuracy, with an average Mean Absolute Error of 0,4%. This system has proven to be effective in providing accurate and responsive information about air quality conditions, so that it can be used as a tool in decision-making related to public health.

Abstract

The selection of the best student is a routine agenda carried out by educational institutions as a form of appreciation for students who have superior achievements in various aspects. As applied at EEC Jombang, the best student selection process has been done manually by referring to the test score results. Therefore, it is necessary to have a web-based decision support system so that it can facilitate the selection of the best students in a more objective and structured manner. This research designs the system by applying the Multi Attribute Utility Theory (MAUT) method, because this method is able to handle various criteria and produce utility values for each alternative. The criteria in using the system include test scores, activeness, discipline, and attendance. The system is developed with the PHP programming language and utilizes MySQL as its database. The results of the application of the MAUT method show that the system is able to automatically calculate student preference scores based on predetermined criteria weights, as well as compile rankings to determine the students who are most deserving of the best title. The presence of this system makes the best student selection process more efficient, transparent, and accountable. Keywords: Decision Support System, Multi-Attribute Utility Theory, Top Students.
