Abstract

ABSTRACT Kingdom Protist is one of the materials in biology that can be learned through observation. The Protista material can be taught through inquiry-based learning to train creative thinking skills. The purpose of this research is to describe the development of Student Textbooks (BAPD) based on inquiry in Protist material of SMA Class X. The development of BAPD refers to the 4D model which consists of the Define, Design, Develop and Disseminate, but without Disseminate phase. The research instrument is in the form of validation sheets and practicality sheets. The results of developing textbooks show the validity of BAPD is 94.7% with the interpretation were very feasible and practicality is 99.3% with the interpretation were very good. Based on the results of this assessment it can be concluded that the inquiry-based BAPD on Protista material is declared valid and practical to use on students. KEYWORDS: student textbook, inquiry, protist, creative thinking skill   ABSTRAK Kingdom Protista merupakan salah satu materi biologi yang dipelajari dengan metode pengamatan. Materi Protista tersebut dapat diajarkan melalui pembelajaran berbasis inkuiri untuk melatihkan keterampilan berpikir kreatif. Tujuan penelitian ini ialah mendeskripsikan pengembangan Buku Ajar Peserta Didik (BAPD) berbasis inkuiri materi Protista SMA kelas X. Pengembangan BAPD mengacu pada model 4D yang terdiri atas tahap Define, Design, Develop, dan Disseminate, namun tahap Disseminate tidak dilakukan. Instrumen penelitian berupa lembar validasi dan lembar kepraktisan. Hasil pengembangan buku ajar menunjukkan validitas BAPD sebesar 94,7% dengan kategori valid dan kepraktisan sebesar 99,3% dengan kategori sangat baik. Berdasarkan hasil penilaian tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa BAPD berbasis inkuiri pada materi Protista dinyatakan valid dan praktis digunakan pada peserta didik. Abstract

ABSTRACT The microchemical test is a method to determine the content of compounds in plants. The materials used are porang tubers, potatoes, corn, peanuts, guava leaves, lime leaves, ylang flowers, purple sweet potatoes, cassava and coconut shells. Preparations were made using thin slices which were cut with a clam on hand microtome, then the reagent was dripped on the thin slices on an object glass and covered with a deck glass, then observed using a microscope. The starch test on sweet potato, cassava, potato, and porang preparations showed yellow or brown starch; the cellulose test on the corn preparations showed that the cellulose cells were swollen and blue; the protein test on peanut preparations showed a color change to brick red; lignin test on coconut shell showed violet-red color; tannin test on guava leaf preparations showed a dark brown color; lipid test on lime and ylang leaf preparations showed red globules and reducing sugar test on sweet potato and corn preparations showed brick red color. Identification and characterization in microchemical tests were carried out to identify differences in color and crystal formation in plant samples after the administration of specific reagents. KEYWORDS: Microchemical Test, Microscopic, Plant Compounds ABSTRAK Uji mikrokimia adalah metode untuk mengetahui kandungan atau senyawa pada tumbuhan. Bahan yang digunakan adalah umbi porang, kentang, jagung, kacang tanah, daun jambu, daun jeruk, bunga kenanga, ubi jalar ungu, singkong dan tempurung kelapa. Preparat dibuat dengan menggunakan irisan tipis yang dipotong dengan clam on hand microtome, kemudian reagen diteteskan pada irisan tipis di atas object glass dan ditutup deck glass, selanjutnya diamati menggunakan mikroskop. Uji amilum pada preparat ubi jalar, singkong, kentang dan porang menunjukkan amilum berwarna kuning atau coklat; uji selulosa pada preparat jagung menunjukkan sel selulosa membengkak dan berwarna biru; uji protein pada preparat kacang tanah menunjukan perubahan warna menjadi merah bata; uji lignin pada tempurung kelapa menunjukan warna violet merah; uji tanin pada preparat daun jambu menunjukkan warna coklat gelap; uji lipid pada preparat daun jeruk dan kenanga menunjukkan globulus berwarna merah dan uji gula reduksi pada preparat ubi jalar dan jagung menunjukan warna merah bata. Identifikasi dan karakterisasi pada uji mikrokimia dilakukan untuk mengenali perbedaan warna dan bentukan kristal pada sampel tanaman setelah pemberian reagen spesifik. Abstract

Eco-Enzyme merupakan pupuk organic cair serba guna yang memiliki banyak manfaat dan merupakan salah satu inovasi pengolahan limbah organic. Masyarakat masih banyak yang menggunakan pupuk kimia dibandingkan menggunakan pupuk organik. Solusi yang ditawarkan untuk menyelesaikan permasalahan penggunaan pupuk kimia adalah dengan mengadakan pelatihan pembuatan Eco-enzyme yang berbahan dasar limbah rumah tangga berupa limbah sayur maupun limbah buah-buahan. Pembuatan Eco-enzyme dilaksanakan di Balai Desa Seketi yang diikuti oleh 25 peserta dari PKK. Metode pelaksanaan dalam kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat melalui pelatihan pembuatan Eco-enzyme yaitu dengan metode pendekatan sosialisasi dan pelatihan secara langsung terkait proses pembuatan Eco-enzyme. Pembuatan Eco-enzyme ini dilakukan secara meluas di masyarakat, hal ini dapat mengurangi pencemaran lingkungan yang disebabkan oleh limbah organik rumah tangga. Pelatihan ini dapat mendongkrak kreativitas dan pengelolaan teknologi guna mendorong kemajuan produk yang telah dihasilkan.

Abstract

The Industrial Revolution 4.0 era emphasizes the digital economy pattern, artificial intelligence, big data, and robotics known as the disruptive innovation phenomenon. The need for design in this era creates business opportunities through the development of graphic designs that can be realized through visual media, this potential is widely captured by design studios and bureaus. The problem that occurs in Seketi Village, Mojoagung District, Jombang Regency is the lack of knowledge about graphic design as a promotional medium for businesses such as making banners, posters, or other designs. Limited knowledge can hinder the marketing process of products that have been produced. The use of unique product designs on social media can attract consumers, so efforts are needed to improve graphic design skills. Training is often considered the most common activity because it will make partners more skilled and productive in developing expertise. It is hoped that through graphic design training in making product catalogs for the Asman group and youth organizations in Seketi Village, Mojoagung District, Jombang Regency, graphic design skills can be improved more quickly and effectively. This training can boost creativity and technology management to encourage the progress of MSME products that have been produced.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Early Childhood Education (PAUD) is a level of education carried out before the basic education level which is an effort to develop children aged 0-6 years. Early childhood education is a form of education that focuses on laying the foundation for growth and development. Based on the results of analysis and observations, the Community Service team from KH University. A. Wahab Hasbullah holds seminars or training on making alphabet calendars to help teachers provide an overview of innovative learning methods. The results obtained from reading skills training using the Alphabet Calendar showed that partners' knowledge about recognizing alphabet letters and making learning media increased after the training. This training indirectly has an impact on the Economic, Social, Health and Education sectors. If this alphabetic calendar is made widely in educational institutions, this training will indirectly improve students' reading skills and reduce environmental pollution caused by waste such as used cardboard. Abstract

Primary education plays a crucial role in building the learning foundation for students, especially at the elementary school level. One of the biggest challenges is maintaining students' learning motivation, which often decreases due to monotonous teaching methods. To address this, innovative learning media such as Smart Boards provide an effective solution. These media can create an interactive and enjoyable learning experience, enhancing students' motivation and engagement. The community service project by Universitas KH. A. Wahab Hasbullah (Unwaha) at SDN Ketapangkuning aims to introduce simple Smart Boards, address learning motivation challenges, and provide flood disaster mitigation education relevant to the local environment. The activities involve direct mentoring for teachers and students from grades 4 to 6, along with flood prevention awareness campaigns. As a result, students showed increased learning motivation, with 85% feeling more enthusiastic, and 90% understanding the importance of environmental preservation. Evaluations through questionnaires and discussions indicated positive impacts in both learning and environmental awareness. Despite facing challenges such as limited resources and differences in student understanding, the project significantly contributes to improving education quality and disaster preparedness at SDN Ketapangkuning.

Abstract

The topic of classification of living organisms at the high school level still necessitates practical activities to foster students' kinesthetic skills, in addition to their critical and creative thinking abilities. Utilizing herbarium as a learning medium offers a solution to this challenge. The herbarium-making training aims to enable students to apply their theoretical knowledge through hands-on practical engagement. This approach is expected to provide students with diverse learning experiences throughout the educational process. Furthermore, students can also hone their creative thinking skills by participating in this herbarium-making training. This research employed a multi-stage methodology, including preparation, interviews, training, and evaluation. The findings of this study were derived from student response questionnaires regarding their learning experience with the herbarium-making training. The results showed that 100% of students found learning through herbarium creation to be highly enjoyable, and 87% of students indicated that this herbarium-making activity enhanced their hard skills and creative abilities

Abstract

Digital marketing is a marketing strategy to promote a business, brand or business by utilizing digital media. Through digital-based media, businesses gain access to resources that are otherwise unavailable to business owners, including the people living in Seketi Village, Jombang. One of the community groups in Seketi Village which operates in the business sector is the Asman Group. Implementation of service activities carried out by the team of University of KH. A. Wahab Hasbullah is product marketing training and community business improvement. This training activity uses a face-to-face/offline meeting method between resource persons and partners located at the Seketi Village Hall office, Mojoagung District, Jombang Regency. The implementation of this service program in the form of "Training on the Use of Shopee E-Commerce and Social Media as a Tool for Marketing Products" includes several strands, namely Identifying Community Needs, Creating Shopee and Instagram Accounts, Operational Assistance and Implementation of Shopee E-Commerce Accounts and Instagram Accounts for Partner. The results of this activity can be seen from the training participants' understanding of marketing on E-Commerce and social media. Participants indirectly learned that marketing on social media and E-Commerce can reach a wider market and is easily accessible to anyone.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationship between student activities in learning and cognitive learning outcomes. The method used in this research is a quantitative method with a correlational design. The population in this study were junior high school students, with a sample of class X-5 SMA Negeri Mojoagung Jombang using purposive sampling technique. Data was collected through observation of student activities and cognitive learning outcome tests. The results of the analysis show that there is a positive correlation between student activity and learning outcomes. This is indicated by a Pearson Correlation of 0.536 (moderate relationship) with a p-value of 0.001 which is smaller than 0.05, indicating a significant relationship. The Spearman Correlation is 0.578, which also shows a moderate but slightly stronger relationship. Since the correlation value between student activity and learning outcomes is within the range of 0.40 - 0.599, the relationship that occurs is in the moderate category. This means there is a relationship between student activity and learning outcomes. The implication of this research shows that increasing student involvement in the learning process can contribute to improving student learning outcomes

Abstract

Geranium plant (Pelargonium graveolens L'Her) is one of the geranium oil producing plants that has many benefits. Callus culture is a technique that can be used to plant multiplication and increase production of secondary metabolites. This study aims to determine the effect of the concentration of Benzyl Adenine on the formation of geranium callus from petiole and leaf explants. Callus induction was carried out by culturing petiole and leaf explants on MS medium + 0.1 mg.L-1 NAA + Benzyl Adenine (0; 0.5; 1; 1.5 and 2 mg.L-1). Callus morphological parameters, percentage of callus formation, and time of first callus formation were observed. The formation of geranium callus influenced by the explant type and the concentration of Benzyl Adenine. In the 2nd week, the geranium callus was initiated, light green colored with a compact callus texture. At 4th week, the percentage of callus formation containing NAA 0.1 mg.L-1 of petiole and leaf explants was 20% and 8%, whereas the percentage of callus formation on medium containing 0.1 mg.L-1 NAA combined with 0.5-2 mg.L-1 Benzyl Adenine of petiole and leaf explants was 52-80% and 24-52%. The best percentage of callus formation was found on the culture medium containing 1 mg.L-1 Benzyl Adenine, equaled 80% of petiole explants, and 52% of leaf explants.
