Abstract

This research intends to develop m-LKPD (mobile lembar kerja peserta didik) based on a project assisted by smart apps creator 3 in the diffraction of light lesson validly and practically. m-LKPD develops to stimulate scientific processes skill as multimedia to support online learning in this Covid-19 pandemic. This research uses Design and Development Research (DDR), consisting of 4 stages: analysis, design, development, and evaluation. The instruments used in this research are interview guidelines, validation test questionnaire, practicality test questionnaire, teacher perception questionnaire, student response questionnaire, and assessment rubrics of scientific processes skill. The result of the validation test results 3,62, with a very valid category. The outcome of the practicality test is 90% as a percentage average, with a very practical as a category. The result of stimulating scientific processes skills through a small team test gets 88% as an average percentage with stimulated as a category. This shows that m-LKPD develops very valid and efficient ways to stimulate processes skills. Besides, m-LKPD creates the potential to be implemented in online learning and face-to-face learning, proven by students’ responses gaining 94% with very good as a category and teachers’ perceptions that achieve 96% average percentage with very good as a category. Therefore, the developed m-LKPD can be used as multimedia to support online learning in this Covid-19 pandemic.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the application of the Argument-Driven Inquiry (ADI) learning model on students' critical thinking abilities and to determine the differences in critical thinking skills between female and male students in the class using the learning model Argument-Driven Inquiry (ADI). The subjects of this study were students of class VIII.1 and VIII.5 JHS 13 Bandarlampung, consisting of 30 students of class VIII.1 and 30 students of class VIII.5. The sample was taken using a purposive technique by looking at the class with the same number of female and male students. The research design used was quasi-experimental design with Pretest-posttest Control Group Design and data collection techniques of critical thinking skills using pretest-posttest, which refers to the five criteria of critical thinking according to Ennis. The results showed that (1) there is an effect of applying the Argument-Driven Inquiry learning model on female students' critical thinking skills as indicated by the sig value. equal to 0,0001 (2) there is an effect of the application of the Argument-Driven Inquiry learning model on male students' critical thinking skills as indicated by the sig value. for 0,000 (3) there is no difference in critical thinking skills between female and male students using the ADI model indicated by the sig value and amounting to 0.725. That is, the application of the Argument-Driven Inquiry model affects the critical thinking skills of both female and male students, but there is no difference in critical thinking skills between female and male students. This means, the implementation of Argument-Driven Inquiry model effective on students’ critical thinking skill, but there is no difference in critical thinking skills between female and male students.

Abstract

Based on observations made to physics teachers and students at the Junior High School (SMP) 7 Bandar Lampung and SMP PGRI I BumiAgung, it is known that the physics learning process undertaken by teachers often does not teach physics applications in students’ lives. In addition, print-based learning media at this time are also verbalistic and have not been able to link physics with life around students. The learning process and the lack of media that can link theory and application in student life make students feel bored studying physics. Physics learning comics are media that are able to link the concepts of physics with life around students. This condition is the background of conducting research, developing physics learning comics as supplement media which are thought to be interesting and effective for students. This research is a research and development (R&D) of comics for based on graphic design that aims to describe the characteristics of Physics Learning Comics. Research and development of comics for physics learning is carried out by following procedures (1) needs analysis, (2) making goals, (3) determining the subject matter, (4) synopsis writing (5) initial script writing, (6) prototype production, (7) evaluation, (8) revision, (9) final script writing, (10) trials and (11) final comics. The results of tests with operational tests show that 84.21% of students can pass the KKM SMP N 7 Bandar Lampung and the results of the attractiveness test taken from a questionnaire score of 3.51 indicate that this comic of physics learning is effective and very interesting to learn. Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of online through guided inquiry laboratory toward students' critical thinking ability. This research was carried out at MAN 1 Central Lampung in the 2021/2022 academic year with a sample consisting of two classes and a total of 64 students. The research design was a one group pre-test post-test design. The experiment was conducted by applying five stages of guided inquiry laboratory learning models, namely observation, manipulation, generalization, verification, and application. The results showed that there were differences in critical thinking ability before and after treatment with an average pre-test value of 30.76 and post-test 56.25 and an average N-Gain of 0.36 in the medium category. The results of hypothesis testing through paired sample t-test obtained sig value. (2-tailed) of 0.000. Thus, it can be concluded that there are positive and significant influence in physics learning through an online guided inquiry laboratory toward students' critical thinking ability.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the application of the ADI model on critical thinking skills based on different types of choleric personality, melancholy, phlegmatic, and sanguine. This study uses a quasi-experimental type Pretest-posttest Control Group Design. The results showed that there was a significant effect of learning with the ADI model on critical thinking skills in the type of choleric personality, melancholy, phlegmatic, and sanguine and there were differences in critical thinking skills between the four personality types, namely choleric and melancholy, phlegmatic, sanguine, this is because choleric students who are more likely to appear more active in communicating and moving quickly to act, wherein this ADI model are required to give a lot of argumentation through verbal or communicating between fellow students to give their arguments. This shows that the use of the ADI learning model is able to improve students' critical thinking skills.

Abstract

This study aims to develop simple light diffraction teaching aids that can be used in learning light diffraction material in schools, as well as to train students' science process skills. This study uses the type of research Design Development and Research (DDR) which is divided into four stages of research, namely analysis, design, development, and evaluation. Before being used in the field, these props were first tested for feasibility. The feasibility test of this light diffraction teaching aid was carried out by conducting a validity test, practicality test, and instrument effectiveness test. In the test results of the validity of teaching aids obtained a percentage of 93% with a very valid category. The results of the practicality test obtained a percentage value of 89% with a very practical category. The results of the test of the effectiveness of teaching aids are represented by the student response test, and the teacher's perception test. In the student response test, a percentage of 86% was obtained in the very effective category, while the teacher perception test obtained a percentage of 84% in the very effective category. Based on the three feasibility tests that have been carried out, it can be concluded that this teaching aid is very suitable to be used in learning diffraction material in schools, and can train students' science process skills.
