Abstract

Computational thinking ability is one of today's problem-solving methods that can be applied in physics learning. However, it is not yet known by most teachers so it has not been applied optimally in learning activities. This study aims to identify students' problem-solving and computational thinking abilities in solving well-structure physics problems. The subject of this study was the eleven grade majoring in natural science of SMAN 1 Bangunrejo. This type of research is descriptive research. The data used to analyze the students' problem-solving and computational thinking abilities were obtained from the essay test. Based on the results of descriptive analysis, it can be concluded that there is a relationship between students' problem-solving abilities and students' computational thinking abilities. In making a useful description, abstraction and decomposition abilities are needed, while to determine the physics approach and specific application of physics, generalization abiliy are needed. In solving mathematical procedures, algorithm ability are needed and to find out logical progressions, debugging ability are needed.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the validity of the e-worksheet based on the Expression Learning model to construct students' computational skills in direct current electric circuit material. This research was development research using Design, Development, and Research (DDR) which consisted of the analysis, design, development, and evaluation stages and used the mixed method to analyze the data. The instrument used to determine the validity of the developed e-worksheet product was an e-worksheet validation sheet. The e-worksheet validation sheet consisted of product and constructs design validity sheets which were validated by five experts who judged that the developed e-worksheet is very valid, with an average score for the construct validation test of 91.5% and an average score for design test validation of 89%. The research findings showed that ExPRession learning model-based e-worksheet assisted with Heyzine to construct computational thinking skill in direct current electric circuits material is very valid. This study provides evidence that applying the ExPRession learning model to the e-worksheet can construct students' computational thinking skills as one of the skills needed in the 21st century by teaching students the use of Microsoft Excel.

Abstract

Kita atau sekolah saatnya berbenah dalam “membangun ulang atau mengkonstrak psikomotor, karakter/afektif, dan cara pandang atau cara berfikir peserta didik” pada era yang baru era “EPIDEMI COVID-19” ini. Metode kegiatan PKM dalam mengembangkan perangkat pembelajaran hands-on, minds-on, and hearts-on activities dalam mempersiapkan pembelajaran hybrid learning di era new normal – “epidemi covid-19 “ bagi guru-guru IPA/ Fisika di Bandarlampung adalah dengan tahapan penting (1) Persiapan, (2) Pelaksanaan, dan (3) Evaluasi dan Pelaporan. Di mana Tahap Pelaksanaan dilaksanakan dengan in-service training, yaitu kegiatan Ceramah, Lokakarya, Kegiatan Mandiri, Presentasi. Dan dilanjutkan di pelaksanaan PKM on-job training, yaitu pendampingan peserta pelatihan. Hasil pengabdian ini sesuai dengan diharapkan, yaitu dapat melatihkan guru dan calon guru dalam pembeuatan perangkat pembelajaran berbasis android, STEM, video pembelajaran dan model atau media lain sebagai alternatif pada hybrid learning sebagai persiapan memasuki era Epidemi Covid-19 dengan memperhatikan atau tidak melupakan hands-on, minds-on, and hearts-on activities. Hal ini dilihat dari antusias peserta pengabdian baik dalam aktivitas presentasi, praktik, maupun tanya jawab. Data pretest maupun posttest pun terdapat peningkatan yang sangat besar yaitu posttest 66,67% peserta mendapatkan skor baik sekali dan tidak ada nilai dibawah baik.

Abstract

Penelitian pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini mengeksplorasi implementasi kegiatan pelatihan pembuatan dan penggunaan alat peraga dari limbah elektronik sebagai upaya penerapan Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) pada Kurikulum Merdeka, terutama bagi guru fisika di Kota Bandarlampung. Fokus penelitian mencakup faktor-faktor pendukung, seperti kurangnya pengalaman guru dalam pembuatan alat peraga dari limbah elektronik, minimnya penerapan praktikum STEM dan SDGs, dan kerjasama yang positif dengan MGMP Fisika. Sementara itu, faktor penghambat melibatkan pembatasan waktu untuk pembuatan alat peraga dan jarak geografis peserta. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pelatihan ini memberikan dampak positif terhadap pemahaman dan keterampilan guru, yang tercermin dalam peningkatan hasil posttest dan partisipasi aktif peserta selama pelatihan. Meskipun dihadapkan pada tantangan jarak geografis, teknologi komunikasi modern berhasil dimanfaatkan untuk memfasilitasi koordinasi dan evaluasi hasil kerja peserta. Kesimpulan menegaskan bahwa kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat semacam ini berperan penting dalam mengatasi kesenjangan penerapan SDGs dalam pembelajaran fisika, memperkuat peran guru sebagai agen perubahan. Diharapkan hasil penelitian ini dapat menjadi inspirasi untuk pengembangan kegiatan serupa di masa depan, memperkuat keterlibatan guru dalam pencapaian tujuan pembangunan berkelanjutan.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic forces the learning process to be carried out in a blended learning manner that combines face-to-face and synchronous learning.This study aims to share the implementation of experiments that we have carried out during the Covid-19 pandemic, especially on optics material for high schools involving prospective physics teacher students. This study uses a descriptive research method with the research subject being Physics Education students, FKIP University of Lampung, with a sample of 2017 Physics Education students who are taking Optics lectures.The results of this study are in the form of optical learning media that have been designed by students while attending lectures with distinctive characteristics made from low cost material and using simple technologies. This study proves that physics experiments can be carried out by utilizing learning media in the form of low-cost material teaching aids. In addition, physics experiments can be carried out directly without a complicated preparation. Abstract

To fulfill 21st-century skills, one of the skills needed is communication skills in oral and written form. This study aims to practice oral and written skills through learning multi-representation worksheets on light-reflecting material. By using the experimental method, namely one group pretest-posttest design. The sample in this study used a purposive sampling technique, which is the sample was selected based on certain reasons with a total of 36 students. The research instrument is a questionnaire of oral and written communication skills that have been tested for validity and reliability. The results of the study stated that the learning process following the needs, and representation activities in the learning process designed by researchers functioned to encourage students to develop physical representation abilities, especially in light-reflecting material. Improved oral and written communication skills can be seen during the process as the results of student assignments and are shown by the results of the N-gain of 0,48 (medium category) and the paired t-test of Asymp. Sig (2-tailed) 0,000, therefore Asymp. A Sig (2-tailed) value below 0.05 indicates that Ho is rejected and H1 is accepted. This research can be innovative and used by teachers in the online learning process.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the application of the Argument-Driven Inquiry (ADI) learning model on students' critical thinking abilities and to determine the differences in critical thinking skills between female and male students in the class using the learning model Argument-Driven Inquiry (ADI). The subjects of this study were students of class VIII.1 and VIII.5 JHS 13 Bandarlampung, consisting of 30 students of class VIII.1 and 30 students of class VIII.5. The sample was taken using a purposive technique by looking at the class with the same number of female and male students. The research design used was quasi-experimental design with Pretest-posttest Control Group Design and data collection techniques of critical thinking skills using pretest-posttest, which refers to the five criteria of critical thinking according to Ennis. The results showed that (1) there is an effect of applying the Argument-Driven Inquiry learning model on female students' critical thinking skills as indicated by the sig value. equal to 0,0001 (2) there is an effect of the application of the Argument-Driven Inquiry learning model on male students' critical thinking skills as indicated by the sig value. for 0,000 (3) there is no difference in critical thinking skills between female and male students using the ADI model indicated by the sig value and amounting to 0.725. That is, the application of the Argument-Driven Inquiry model affects the critical thinking skills of both female and male students, but there is no difference in critical thinking skills between female and male students. This means, the implementation of Argument-Driven Inquiry model effective on students’ critical thinking skill, but there is no difference in critical thinking skills between female and male students.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the need to develop an e-Worksheet based on the SSCS model to stimulate critical thinking skills. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method to provide an overview of the implementation of critical thinking skills in high school during learning that implements the independent curriculum. This research was conducted in March 2023. The data source was obtained using the non-test technique in the form of an open questionnaire. The subjects in this study were 15 physics teachers spread across 3 provinces in Indonesia, including Lampung, Central Java and South Sumatra. The data analysis technique is the Miles & Huberman (2018) analysis technique which is carried out continuously until the data is saturated. Data analysis involves three steps, data reduction, data presentation, and verification. The results of the study show that critical thinking skills have not been fully implemented in physics learning in senior high schools in the independent curriculum. Therefore, the development of an e-Worksheet based on the SSCS model is needed to stimulate students' critical thinking skills.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the validity of e-LKPD. As well as stimulating students' visual literacy and numeracy skills through the development of problem-based e-LKPD. The population in this study were students of class XII MIA at SMAN 1 Abung Selatan, North Lampung Regency for the 2023/2024 academic year. This research is a Design and Development Research (DDR) empirical research with 4 procedures or stages, namely, analysis, design, development. With a pretest posttest control group design. Data collection was carried out using test and observation methods. Problem-based learning is applied in the experimental class while Direct Instructor (DI) is the Control class. The results of the research showed that the experimental class students' numeracy and visual literacy skills increased by 0.71, while the control class increased by 0.56. Based on the results of this research, it shows that the problem-based e-LKPD experienced an increase in both the experimental class's numeracy and visual numeracy skills. compared to the control class. The results of the t-test show that it has a positive influence on students' visual literacy and numeracy skills with output results (49) = 0.235. So it can be concluded that the application of problem-based e-LKPD can improve students' visual literacy and numeracy skills.

Abstract

The world of education requires practical tools that are not just demonstrations, but also provide relevant active learning experiences that trigger curiosity and fulfill 21st-century skills, namely critical thinking. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of an IoT-based soil sensor practical tool integrated with performance assessment in improving students' critical thinking skills. This study used an embedded mixed-methods experimental design, with a purposive sampling technique to select two classes with similar levels of critical thinking at the beginning of the study. The study involved pre-tests and post-tests in the experimental and control classes. The results showed that the experimental class experienced a significant increase in critical thinking skills, with a post-test score increasing sharply from 48.54 to 90.42, while the control class only increased from 56.60 to 72.99. A significant difference between the two classes was revealed through the ANCOVA test (p = 0.000), which showed that the use of IoT-based tools had a significant impact on students' critical thinking skills, with a Partial Eta Squared of 0.550. Thus, the IoT-based soil sensor practical tool integrated with performance assessment has proven effective in encouraging the improvement of students' critical thinking skills, making it an innovative solution in more interactive and applicable science learning.
