Abstract

Globally, it is estimated that there are around 650 million cases of early marriage. The East Asia and Pacific region, including Indonesia, is the third largest contributor to early marriage in the world, accounting for around 13% of global early marriage cases (UNICEF, 2021). The objective of this study is to determine the correlation between knowledge and attitudes of early-married mothers with their reproductive health status in the working area of Tunas Harapan Health Center in 2024.This study is an analytical study with a cross-sectional design. The population consisted of all women who were married before the age of 21 and are currently aged up to 30 years with children, totaling 75 women in the working area of Tunas Harapan Health Center. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling, based on the researchers' considerations and the inclusion and exclusion criteria, resulting in a sample size of 64 participants.The Chi-square test results showed that the variable of knowledge of early-married mothers with their reproductive health status had a chi-square p-value of 0.001 (α<0.05), and the attitude of early-married mothers with their reproductive health status also had a chi-square p-value of 0.001 (α<0.05). Thus, it can be concluded that there is a correlation between knowledge and attitudes of early-married mothers and their reproductive health status in the working area of Tunas Harapan Health Center in 2024. It is recommended that healthcare workers use these findings as a basis for conducting outreach on the importance of reproductive health

Abstract

Immunization is the most effective primary prevention against infectious diseases, protecting individuals from serious illnesses and preventing the spread of contagious diseases (Irawati, 2020). Immunization is carried out to induce or enhance immunity against certain diseases; if not done, it can increase the risk of exposure to diseases with severe symptoms (Hudhah, 2020). The purpose of this study is to determine the correlation between the use of the Maternal and Child Health (MCH) Book and compliance with complete basic immunization in infants aged 0-11 months at Kampung Delima Public Health Center, Rejang Lebong Regency, in 2024.This study uses an analytical research design with a cross-sectional approach. The measurement of variables is conducted at a specific point in time, meaning that subjects are observed and measured simultaneously. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling, with a total of 69 respondents.The results of the Chi-square test show that there is a correlation between the use of the MCH Book and compliance with complete basic immunization in infants aged 0-11 months, with a chi-square result of p-value 0.001 (α<0.05). Thus, it can be concluded that there is a correlation between the use of the Maternal and Child Health Book and compliance with complete basic immunization in infants aged 0-11 months at Kampung Delima Public Health Center, Rejang Lebong Regency, in 2024.It is recommended that the public health center utilize this information as a means of evaluation, particularly in increasing the coverage of complete basic immunization in infants

Abstract

Long-term contraceptive methods such as IUDs, implants and sterilization. The World Health Organization in 2022 states that the global prevalence of contraceptive use with all methods is estimated at 65% and modern methods at 58.7% in married women (World Health Organization, 2023). The purpose of the study was to determine the relationship between husband support and the selection of Implant contraceptives in the working area of Bangun Jaya Health Center in 2024. This study used analytic research with a cross sectional design. The population in this study were Fertile Age Couples in the working area of Bangun Jaya Health Center from June-July 2024 as many as 876 people. Purposive sampling technique, namely sampling based on researcher judgment and in accordance with the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The sample used by mothers of childbearing age couples was 67 people. Chi-square test results show that the variable of husband's support with the selection of contraceptives obtained chi-square p-value 0.000 (α <0.05), so it can be concluded that the relationship of husband's support with the selection of Implant contraceptives in the working area of Bangun Jaya Health Center in 2024.It is recommended to increase knowledge about the need for husband's support in choosing contraceptives in order to maintain household harmony.

Abstract

Deficiency vitamin A deficiency increases the risk of children becoming susceptible to infectious diseases such as upper respiratory tract infections, measles and diarrhoea. The aim of the study was to determine the relationship between Mother's Motivation and the Role of Cadres with Adherence to Vitamin A Giving to Toddlers in the Posyandu Watas Marga Health Centre Working Area in 2024. Abstract

Family planning is one of the methods to reduce the population growth rate. Objective: The purpose of the study was to determine the relationship between knowledge and wife support with interest in using contraceptives in men in the Bermani Ulu Health Centre Working Area in 2024 analytical survey research with a Cross Sectional design. The population of this study was men of childbearing age who visited the Bermani Ulu Health Centre, Rejang Lebong Regency in 2024 from January to April 2024, totalling 328 people, the sample in this study was 180 respondents. Sampling was taken by purposive sampling. The results of the study obtained from 180 respondents most of the respondents (58.3%) had poor knowledge. Of the 180 respondents most respondents (51.7%) the wife supports the use of male contraceptives Of the 180 respondents most respondents (71.1%) the husband's interest is low in the use of male contraceptives. There is a relationship between knowledge and interest in the use of contraceptives in men in the Bermani Ulu Health Centre Working Area in 2024. There is a relationship between wife support and interest in using contraceptives in men in the Bermani Ulu Health Centre Working Area in 2024. It is expected to increase public knowledge about male contraception by increasing health promotion programmes through counselling and health education so that the awareness of men of childbearing age to be willing to use male contraceptives.

Abstract

Indonesia has done better in reducing infant and under-five mortality. maternal mortality, the fourth goal of the MDGs. The maternal mortality rate, estimated at around 228 per 100,000 live births, has remained high above 200 for the past decade. Midwives represent great potential for health human resources, but their existence has not been supported by comprehensive legislation. Midwives provide continuous and comprehensive midwifery services with a focus on preventive aspects, and midwives play a role in providing delivery assistance who have the knowledge, skills and abilities to provide safe and clean assistance, handle certain emergency situations to optimise maternal health. Based on that background, the author wants to conduct legal research on ‘Implementation of Midwife Duties in Childbirth Associated with Health Law at Independent Midwife Services’. Siska Damayanti Practice, S.ST Bengkulu Kota’. The formulation of the problem in this study is How is the Implementation of Midwives' Duties in Assisting Childbirth at Siska's Independent Practice Midwife and How is Health Law Related to Childbirth Assistance in Independent Practice Midwives. In this study the authors used normative juridical research or normative legal research, this research data collection technique is secondary and primary research. The conclusion in this study is that the role of midwives in assisting childbirth is very important from the midwife's point of view, because she is related to the legal question which provides authority for all actions taken by midwives. Midwives as health workers whose midwifery practice permits are regulated in Permenkes no 28 of 2017 concerning Permits for Midwifery Practice, midwives are given the authority to assist childbirth.

Abstract

Data from UNICEF (2020), explains that every year the death rate among children reaches 91,000 with the main cause being preventable infections. One of these infectious diseases is diarrhea or in the medical world it is called gastroenteritis. The aim of the research is to determine the factors associated with the incidence of diarrhea in giving MPASI to babies 6-12 months at the Sawah Lebar Community Health Center in 2024. The method used in this research uses analytical research with a cross sectional design. The population of this study included 375 babies in the working area of ​​the Sawah Lebar Community Health Center. The sampling technique used the Accidental Sampling technique based on inclusion criteria. The sample used was 79 people. The bivariate test results show that the variable maternal knowledge with the incidence of diarrhea obtained a chi-square p-value of 0.001, the history of exclusive breastfeeding with the incidence of diarrhea obtained a chi-square p-value of 0.001, the method of giving MPASI and the incidence of diarrhea obtained a chi-square p-value. value is 0.001, so it can be concluded that there is a relationship between mother's knowledge, history of exclusive breastfeeding and how to give MPASI with the incidence of diarrhea in giving MPASI to babies 6-12 months at the Sawah Lebar Community Health Center in 2024. It is recommended that the community health center provide information about the importance of knowledge about diarrhea and providing breast milk. Exclusively, always wash your hands with soap so that your baby doesn't experience diarrhea.

Abstract

Rheumatoid arthritis is a significant health issue affecting the elderly population in RT 05, Ponorogo Village, Lubuklinggau Utara II District. A lack of knowledge about this disease and limited skills in its prevention and management pose major challenges. The condition causes joint pain that disrupts daily activities, necessitating effective solutions. The aim of this community service initiative is to provide education about rheumatoid arthritis and implement therapeutic exercises, specifically rheumatic gymnastics, as a non-pharmacological intervention.The methods employed include educational outreach on rheumatoid arthritis and regular sessions of rheumatic gymnastics. These exercises are designed to enhance joint flexibility, improve blood circulation, and alleviate pain experienced by sufferers.Results from the activities indicate a notable increase in participants' understanding of rheumatoid arthritis management and a decrease in pain levels following the implementation of rheumatic gymnastics. Consequently, this initiative successfully offers a meaningful solution to improve the quality of life for the elderly and mitigate the adverse effects of the disease.

Abstract

Hand washing has health benefits, namely it can reduce the number of microorganisms, reduce germs found on dirty hands, so as to reduce the occurrence of infection. The goal of health education is to change people's or society's behavior from unhealthy behavior to healthy behavior. To change one's behavior can be done by teaching and learning. The role of nurses as educators can be done by helping clients to increase health knowledge. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of health education about hand washing on the level of knowledge and hand washing behavior of the patient's family at the Mukomuko Regional General Hospital in 2022. The design in this study used a Quasy Experimental One-group pre-post test design method. Sampling used purposive sampling technique, the number of respondents was 26 patients' families who were in the internal medicine inpatient room at the Mukomuko Regional General Hospital. The independent variable in this study is the Influence of Health Education about hand washing while the dependent variable is knowledge and behavior of hand washing. Statistical tests in this study used the paired t-test. The results showed that there was an effect of health education on hand washing on the level of knowledge and hand washing behavior of the patient's family with a p value of 0.000 < α = 0.05. It is expected that nurses have a role in continuing to remind patients and families to practice hand washing behavior. Educational activities can increase the knowledge of the patient's family, which will lead to attitudes and ultimately foster individual or group behavior based on individual awareness and willingness to perform the six stages of hand washing.

Abstract

The current maternal mortality rate (MMR) is still far from the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) target of 70 per 100,000 live births by 2030. Based on the results of the Indonesian Demographic Health survey in 2023, it shows a significant increase in MMR, which is 359 pe 100,000 live births (SDKI, 2024). Antenatal care is a health service provided periodically by health professionals to improve the health status of pregnant women and their fetuses. The purpose of the study was to determine the relationship between the level of education and knowledge of pregnant women with the regularity of pregnancy checks in the working area of the Sindang Jati Health Center in 2024. This study uses analytic research with cross sectional design. The population used by pregnant women in the work area of Sindang Jati Health Center in June-July 2024 was 40 pregnant women. The sampling technique used total sampling technique. Chi-square test results show that the variable level of education of pregnant women with regularity of pregnancy checks obtained chi-square p-value 0.001 (α <0.05), the level of education of pregnant women with regularity of pregnancy checks obtained chi-square p-value 0.001 (α <0.05), so it can be concluded that the relationship between the level of education and knowledge of pregnant women with regularity of pregnancy checks in the working area of Sindang Jati Health Center in 2024. It is recommended to increase the knowledge of the importance of regular pregnancy checks to detect the health of pregnant women.
