Abstract

Pesantren and Madrasah were born because of the acculturation of local culture and Islam, so Islamic education practitioners should be open, adaptive, and not anti-cultural. The principle that should be followed is to preserve the old values ??or traditions that are still good and take on new values ??or traditions that are better. That way, Islamic education will advance and modern, but not uprooted from its historical roots. The method used is a library method that focuses on the study of reference books that discuss the education of Islamic boarding schools and madrassas. The purpose of this paper is to be able to understand the meaning of pesantran / madrasa education in particular in Indonesia Cottage. Islamic boarding schools have gone through various periods of time, this shows that this Islamic educational institution shows a strong survival. This resilience was born because of the existence of idealism and consistency in the progress of his struggle. Supposedly, idealistic values ??such as the sincerity of the kiai and his sincere commitment to maintaining and developing Islamic teachings can be used as a foothold of idealism for educational practitioners today. The goal is to make educational institutions and activities a place for commercialization and politicization, to reap profits and power.

Abstract

Secara umum bisa dikatakan bahwasanya kegiatan menafsirkan Alquran bagi Hamka tidak sekedar berusaha mencari maksud teks, akan tetapi lebih dari itu. Manafsirkan Alquran bagi Hamka berarti memfungsikan teks supaya mempunyai arti dan bermakna serta dapat dikomunikasikan dengan konteks kekinian. Dalam hal ini Hamka mencoba untuk memasuki horison masa lalu dimana ayat-ayat Alquran turun untuk kemudian mengartikulasikannya dengan horison masa kini. Kondisi dimana pada masa Hamka hadir merupakan kondisi yang memprihatinkan baik bagi dirinya sendiri maupun bagi Umat Islam Indonesi, sehingga kehadiran Tafsir al-Azhar tak lepas dari kondisi tersebut, yakni sebagai motivasi dalam menyelamatkan umat Islam dari keterbelakangan dan juga menyelamatkan dari rongrongan golongan pembenci Islam di samping sebagai rasa terima kasih kepad al-Azhar University. Kitab tafsir al-Azhar dapat dikatakan sebagai kategori kitab tafsir al-Adab al-Ijtima’I di mana ciri khasnya adalah berupaya merumuskan Alquran agar bisa dipakai sebagai pedoman praktis dalam kehidupan umat Islam, sehingga tidak heran aspek kontekstualitas sering kita dapatkan dalam kitab tafsir tersebut.

Abstract

The aims of this research are (1) to know the development of maccera manurung culture in Saoraja district. Kulo Kab. Sidenreng Rappang from the aspect of aqidah (2) Knowing the results of acculturation of maccera manurung culture with the values ​​of Islamic teachings in Saoraja Kec. Kulo Kab. Sidenreng Rappang. The type of research used is qualitative research which is often called naturalistic research methods and the research instruments used are observation, interviews and documentation. The data analysis technique is using data reduction, displaying data, verifying data, and drawing conclusions. The results of this study indicate that: (1) The development of maccera manurung culture in Saoraja Kec. Kulo Kab. Sidenreng Rappang from the aspect of aqidah has experienced developments as evidenced at the time when they did not know Islam, the Kulo people believed that the one who gave salvation, blessing and sustenance was To Manurung. (2) The result of acculturation of maccera manurung culture in Saoraja district. Kulo Kab. Sidenreng Rappang, namely the culture of maccera manurung and Islamic teachings coloring the traditional party with the values ​​of Islamic teachings, namely strengthening the bonds of friendship, fostering an attitude of giving alms to each other for underprivileged families (3) Overview of Islam in the maccera manurung event in Saoraja Kulo Kab. Sidenreng Rappang is practicing the Islamic teachings, namely treating animals well before slaughter, holding a harvest party by eating together as a form of gratitude for all the abundance of grace from Allah SWT. As well as doing remembrance and reading prayers together before eating together. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah (1) Mengetahui perkembangan budaya maccera manurung di Saoraja Kec. Kulo Kab. Sidenreng Rappang dari aspek akidah (2) Mengetahui hasil akulturasi budaya maccera manurung dengan nilai-nilai ajaran Islam di Saoraja Kec. Kulo Kab. Sidenreng Rappang. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan penelitian kualitatif yang sering disebut metode penelitian naturalistik dan instrumen penelitian yang digunakan yakni observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Adapun teknik analisis datanya yaitu menggunakan cara mereduksi data, mendisplaykan data, memperivikasi data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Perkembangan budaya maccera manurung di Saoraja Kec. Kulo Kab. Sidenreng Rappang dari aspek akidah telah mengalami perkembangan yang dibuktikan pada saat zaman belum mengenal Islam masyarakat Kulo meyakini bahwa yang memberi keselamatan, keberkahan dan reseki adalah To Manurung setelah mengenal Islam masyarakat Kulo telah memahami dan meyakini bahwa yang memberi keselamatan, keberkahan dan reseki hanyalah Allah SWT (2) Hasil akulturasi budaya maccera manurung di Saoraja Kec. Kulo Kab. Sidenreng Rappang yaitu budaya maccera manurung dan ajaran Islam mewarnai pesta adat dengan nilai-nilai ajaran Islam yakni mempererat tali silaturrahim, menumbuhkan sikap bersedekah saling berbagi kepada sesama bagi keluarga yang kurang mampu (3) Tinjauan Islam dalam acara maccera manurung di Saoraja Kulo Kab. Sidenreng Rappang adalah mengamalkan syariat ajaran Islam yakni memperlakukan hewan dengan baik sebelum disembelih, mengadakan pesta panen dengan makan bersama sebagai wujud rasa syukur atas segala limpahan rahmat dari Allah SWT. Serta melakukan zikir dan membaca doa bersama sebelum kegiatan makan bersama dilakukan.

Abstract

This research was conducted at MTs.N Parepare Parepare City, using a qualitative research survey approach, the population is participant educate class VII as many as 62 people and the sample as many as 31 people, as well educator MTs.N Parepare Parepare City, with data collection techniques used, namely: observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation, as well as data analysis qualitative. In this study it was found , several matter including : first, interaction learning at MTs.N Parepare Parepare City walk conducive and effective, though Still There is constraint limitations facilities and funds. Second In principle, educators apply interpersonal communication in the education and learning process at MTs.N Parepare Parepare City, though Still need improved. Aspect existing interpersonal communication maximum is emphasis importance material lesson learned (51.6%), explanation material in a way communicative and logical (48.8%), bringing it closer distance with participant educate in teaching (61.3%), using internal body movements teach or kinesics (74.2%), using expression face in teaching (51.6%), effort explain with understood language participant educate (58.1), effort serve with clear mention of words and sentences (67.7%), effort embed love of material lesson (77.4%), and presentation effective Because similarity background behind culture and religion (90.3%). Meanwhile, what is necessary improved is design pattern presentation material (9.7%), visualization material lessons (9.7%), encouraging act positive in accordance material (35.5%), using deep verbal description teaching (3.2%), using paralinguistics (25.8%), using instruction appearance (22.6%), and effort equalize perception (25.8%). Abstract

The aim of this research is to find out how the approaches, strategies, learning methods, techniques and tactics for learning Islamic religious education based on Mandar local wisdom in cultivating the religious character of students at MA BPII Pamboang. The type of research used is qualitative research and the research instruments used are observation, interviews and documentation. The data analysis technique uses data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The results of this research show that: the PAI learning approach based on Mandar local wisdom in cultivating religious character at MA BPII Pamboang can be done by applying a problem-based learning model approach so that students can have an attitude; (1) Malappuq. (2) Pangayaq, (3) Sipakatau, (4) Manarang/ pore akkalanna. PAI Learning Strategies Based on Mandar Local Wisdom for the Formation of Religious Character of Students at MA BPII Pamboang include integration of local wisdom values, introduction to Mandar religious history and traditions, Experience Based Learning, local religious stories and tales, and behavioral models. Islamic religious education learning methods based on Mandar local wisdom in cultivating the religious character of students at MA BPII Pamboang. In this learning method, the class XI PAI (moral beliefs) teacher applies a lecture and discussion learning model to achieve the goal. The lecture learning method is an approach where a teacher actively conveys information and material to students in the form of oral presentations. Mandar local wisdom-based Islamic religious education learning techniques in cultivating the religious character of students at MA BPII Pamboang; (1) Explore local wisdom values. (2) Tolerance and openness, where local wisdom teaches the values of tolerance and openness to differences in religion, culture and views of life, (3) Togetherness and solidarity, (4) Case studies from local wisdom, (5) Application of values religious values and self-evaluation. Islamic religious education learning tactics based on Mandar local wisdom in cultivating the religious character of students at MA BPII Pamboang; (1) Simulations and role plays, (2) Group discussions, (3) Presentations and learning, (4) Use of local languages in learning.

Abstract

This study focuses on the Sawitto Kingdom’s resistance against the Dutch colonial government, emphasizing the conflict process between the kingdom and the colonial administration, as well as the impacts of that resistance. To examine this, the author employs a historical method consisting of four stages: data collection (heuristics), source criticism, interpretation, and historiography, with socio-political analysis. This research reveals that Sawitto's resistance in the early 20th century was driven not only by opposition to the mandatory taxed port policy that imposed import, export, and harbor duties but also by Dutch colonial interference in Sawitto's domestic affairs. Ultimately, the conflict was won by the Dutch Colonial Government, marking the integration of colonial power in Sawitto. This resulted in changes to the local political system, including the Dutch assumption of royal authority and the reduction of the Sawitto king’s role to a symbolic figure.

Abstract

The phenomenon of society's need to fulfill their children's religious character has an impact on the community's interest in enrolling their children in public schools. As a result, public schools experience a decrease in the number of students. Several public schools in the Ajatappareng Region of South Sulawesi Province implement various strategies for fostering religious character to meet the community's needs. This research aims to describe the strategies undertaken by public schools in shaping the religious character of students to increase the enthusiasm of new students. The study was conducted at SMP Negeri 1 Parepare and SMP Muhammadiyah Boarding School. These two locations were selected because they have successfully increased student enthusiasm through religious character development programs. The research method used is qualitative descriptive with data collection techniques through observation, documentation, and interviews with school officials. The collected data is then analyzed using the Milens data analysis model. The schools use the trans-internalization model to shape the religious character of students by involving all teachers, staff, and parents. The division of responsibilities for character development between schools and parents is clear, as outlined in the student's memorization control book. The formation of students' character adjusts to the religious dimension, resulting in observable changes in student behavior towards improvement in akhlaq (morality). The success of religious character formation has an impact on the increase of new student applicants in the 2023/2024 school year by 100% from the previous year.

Abstract

The suggestopedia method is applied to transform and create a relaxed learning environment for students, eliminating any tension during the learning process. The implementation of the suggestopedia method aimed to enhance the memorization skills of mufradat for Grade VIII students at MTs DDI Kanang. This was prompted by the observation that many students struggled with mastering mufradat. The main issue addressed in this research was how to implement the suggestopedia learning method to improve students' memorization skills of mufradat.This research adopted a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design called the Non-Equivalent Control Group Design. Data collection involved administering multiple-choice tests (pre-test and post-test), treatments, observations, and documentation. The data analysis techniques employed were descriptive analysis and inferential analysis (analysis requirements test and hypothesis testing).The research findings revealed the following: 1) There was an influence of the suggestopedia learning method on the improvement of students' memorization skills of mufradat for Grade VIII at MTs DDI Kanang, as evidenced by the pre-test score of 58.12 and the post-test score of 85.49 with a paired samples test resulting in a Sig. value of 0.000. 2) There was an influence of the drill method on the improvement of students' memorization skills of mufradat for Grade VIII at MTs DDI Kanang, as indicated by the pre-test score of 51.84 and the post-test score of 78.55 with a paired samples test resulting in a Sig. value of 0.000. 3) There was a difference in the improvement of memorization skills of mufradat between the suggestopedia learning method and the drill learning method for Grade VIII students at MTs DDI Kanang, supported by the independent samples test with a Sig. value of 0.000.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui interpretasi Masyarakat tentang komunikasi simbolik dalam ritual kematian towani tolotang. Penelitian ini menggunakan analisis data kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologi. Adapun jenis data yang digunakan adalah data kualitatif deskriptif. Sumber data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah sumber data primer dan data pendukung berupa catatan, seperti buku, jurnal, foto yang sifatnya dokumentasi. Penelitian ini mengumpulkan data dari wawancara mendalam, observasi partisipatif, dan analisis dokumen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: 1). Tahapan pertama dimulai dengan pemberitahuan kematian, Tahap berikutnya adalah persiapan jenazah. Setelah itu, dilakukan persiapan sesajian. Tahapan terakhir adalah upacara setelah kematian. 2) Makna simbolik dalam ritual kematian Towani Tolotang, seperti pemberitahuan kematian ke pemangku adat dengan membawa sirih dan pinang sebagai simbol penghormatan, jenazah yang dikeluarkan melalui jendela berarti jalan orang hidup dan orang mati berbeda, proses persiapan jenazah berdasarkan stratifikasi sosialnya, Sesaji dalam tradisi kematian masyarakat Tolotang terdiri dari makanan seperti nasi, telur, ayam, dan pisang, serta perlengkapan seperti dupa, kain putih, dan wadah tertentu. 3) Interpretasi masyarakat tentang komunikasi simbolik dalam ritual kematian Towani Tolotang di Kelurahan Amparita mencerminkan pemahaman mereka terhadap makna mendalam dari setiap simbol dan tindakan yang dilakukan.
