Abstract

Local cultural values in architecture currently compete with modern culture in the midst of the current development of globalization. Tectonics in architecture is an effort to elevate the local cultural values of an area. The understanding of tectonics includes solving the logical structure of a space, handling construction joints, processing skills and meeting materials so that they are able to bring out the expression of a building as an aesthetic value. Tectonics in architecture often uses wood materials. This wood material was chosen because wood is a renewable material and is not consumed by the times. Wood material is also still used as a building material from time to time. This study focuses on two buildings with the same function, namely the traditional Wiswakarma Museum building located in Gianyar and the Odunpazari Museum of Modern Art located in Turkey. The results of this study will show a comparison between the tectonics of traditional and modern wooden buildings.

Abstract

The lack of utilization of natural potential and tourist facilities in Munggu Village is one of the inhibiting factors for tourism activities in Munggu Village. Through Pok Darwis, Munggu Village began to explore its natural potential to be developed, one of the natural potentials it has is a river that directly empties into Munggu Beach. Prior to the development of a research method, a research method was carried out in the site location area with the aim of seeing the physical condition of the site where the planning will be carried out, through literature studies and field observations that it is very feasible to make a new tourist facility Outfall Club. Through field observations by looking at the physical condition of the site on the riverbank, the author determines the theme of this Outfall Club using an Organic Architecture approach with several considerations that later this Outfall Club building will be designed by analogizing the shapes of the surrounding natural conditions. In this planning, a precedent study is conducted to conduct a comparative study with an existing facility with one that has not been built, the benefit of this precedent study is a reference to what functions and activities facilities will be presented in this Outfall Club plan.

Abstract

In the current era, tourism is crucial to the development of the Balinese economy. Reflecting on the pandemic that has been going on for the past few years, Bali tourism has experienced a very significant impact. Currently, Bali tourism is slowly starting to rise, and as Balinese people, we should play a role and support the rebuilding, especially in the tourism sector. In fact, tourism is the identity of the island of Bali, with its own charm. One of the accommodations that can boost Bali tourism is beach glamping. The planning and design of Gamat Bay Glamping in Nusa Penida, Klungkung, uses the Envi-Human Connection concept. Natural factors can give Nusa Penida more points because Nusa Penida already has its own charm that other regions don't even have, namely its natural beauty. Related to tourism, of course, you can never get away from tourists. In realizing the concept raised, namely Envi-Human Connection, whatever the design theme of the planning and design of Gamat Bay Glamping in Nusa Penida, Klungkung, is ecological architecture with environtmental and origami approach.

Abstract

The Gajah Mada area has become a cultural heritage which means all cultural elements that are at least 50 years old; synonymous with religious, aesthetic, and historical values; represents style, lifestyle, time, region, and mindset. Cities with a cultural perspective position culture into 3 main functions, namely as a basic potential, approach, and building orientation. Heritage areas have high potential to support community creativity because they are guided by the historical values of Balinese culture. So later the developments that occur will still be balanced and filtered so as to create a balance between the progress of the times and the history of Balinese culture. Over time, many store house managers were not ready to accept the changing times, resulting in reduced public interest in coming. The decline in productivity in the Gajah Mada area has resulted in a decrease in the quality of the area, such as unclear shop ownership because it has begun to be abandoned, changes to the facade and interior space according to the manager's taste, giving rise to a slum impression, pedestrian arrangement along the road makes the storehouse elevation very low from the sidewalk, the lack of available parking space because many settlements have sprung up behind the shop houses. This also makes the interest of visitors to visit less and less. Competition for functional buildings in terms of comfort has also begun to develop, many supermarkets have sprung up, supermarkets are more interesting to visit. If the time limit is not properly anticipated focusing on alternative actions or solutions to increase productivity, the Gajah Mada Heritage area has the potential to become a dead heritage area. To prevent this area from being left behind, it is necessary to reorganize and redesign the Gajah Mada Heritage Area into a creative industry in Denpasar City. Areas that initially focused on offline trading activities will now be developed to reach several sectors. Sectors that have the potential in this area are the fashion, culinary, music, workshops, and entertainment sectors. These five sectors were appointed because the originality of the items traded since the Chinese arrived until now still has high appeal, but has not been facilitated properly.

Abstract

Agriculture, or agriculturalism, is one of Indonesia's regional identities. It is no surprise that a sizable number of domestic, local, and foreign tourists enjoy visiting the Canggu community in Bali Province because the community is particularly famous for its views of the nearby rice fields and has a strong agrarian culture. However, this exposure has greatly impacted residential construction and tourist destinations for domestic, international, and local tourists, which also poses a danger to neighborhood shops. In Canggu Village's agricultural area, there has also been a large annual decline in the amount of agricultural land, and if this trend continues, it is expected that agricultural land will eventually become extinct in the area. Therefore, it is necessary to take preventive steps to prevent this. Using three stages of research methods in the form of data collection, data processing, and data inference to capture the idea and concept about designing an area that assists in developing educational and recreational agriculture tourism for local and international communities also helps develop the local regional economy by providing a platform for the locals to shop.
