Abstract

Bali memiliki pesona pantai yang indah dan juga keberagaman budaya yang menarik bagi para wisatawan. Tingginya minat wisatawan dan pesatnya perkembangan infrastruktur harus diiringi dengan adaptasi kawasan yang menyeluruh. Pada kasus Pantai Matahari Terbit, pembangunan infrastruktur dermaga berdampak pada perubahan zonasi kawasan yang mempengaruhi pola pergerakan aktivitas, jalur sirkulasi, parkir dan fasilitas keagamaan. Secara umum kawasan pantai Matahari Terbit merupakan kawasan yang memiliki fungsi beragam yaitu adanya fasilitas adat, wisata, penyeberangan kapal dan juga budaya sehingga keseluruhan aspek tersebut mampu difasilitasi. Pihak mitra yaitu BUPDA bekerja sama dengan tim Universitas Warmadewa untuk merumuskan potensi dan kendala dalam bentuk dokumen rencana induk penataan kawasan atau Masterplan yang bertujuan untuk memberikan gambaran besar arah pengembangan kawasan di masa depan dengan tetap mengindahkan kaidah-kaidah pariwisata yang berkelanjutan. Hasil pembahasan dan diskusi bersama tokoh masyrakat secara partisipatif menemukan beberapa usulan yaitu, perencanaan amphitheater sebagai fasilitas seni budaya, perencanaan gedung wantilan yang berfungsi untuk memfasilitasi aktivitas sosial kemasyarkatan dan pedoman penataan jalan dan pedestrian. Rencana masterplan ini diharapkan mampu menjadi suatu pedoman dalam aspek pembangunan kawasan secara terintegrasi dan bersinergi dengan sektor lain.

Abstract

The Meru, a multi-tiered Balinese pagoda in Bali, Indonesia, is investigated for its earthquake-resistant properties in this study. Despite the fact that its upper tier is made of timber frames and panels, and its lower tier is made of masonry walls, the Meru has not suffered significant earthquake damage since its construction in 1968. This paper investigates the Meru's architectural form, structural system, building materials, and dynamic responses to seismic activity. The study focuses on an eleven-tier Meru in the Ulun Danu Batur Temple Kintamani Region, Bali Province, and investigates earthquake resistance using a 2-D Finite Element model and Nonlinear time history dynamic analysis method. The results show that the Meru can withstand the maximum credible earthquake for 2500 years, and the Meru's natural periods and modes have been determined. This study is a preliminary investigation into predicting and monitoring the Meru structure's behavior during earthquakes. To further validate the analysis model, future research could include experimental analysis of both individual components and the overall structure.

Abstract

Di era saat ini, pariwisata menjadi sesuatu yang sangat krusial dalam pengembangan perekonomian Bali. Berkaca dari pandemi yang berlangsung selama beberapa tahun belakangan ini, pariwisata Bali mengalami dampak yang sangat signifikan. Saat ini, pariwisata Bali perlahan mulai bangkit dan sebagai masyarakat Bali kita sepatutnya untuk ikut berperan dan mendukung dalam pembangunan kembali khususnya dalam sektor pariwisata. Sejatinya, pariwisata merupakan identitas dari Pulau Bali dengan daya tariknya tersendiri. Salah satu akomodasi yang dapat mendongkrak pariwisata Bali, yaitu Beach Glamping. Perencanaan dan Perancangan Gamat Bay Glamping di Nusa Penida, Klungkung menggunakan konsep Envi-Human Connection. Faktor alam dapat memberikan poin lebih kepada Nusa Penida karena sesungguhnya Nusa Penida telah memiliki daya tarik tersendiri yang bahkan tidak dimiliki daerah lainnya, yaitu keindahan alamnya. Berkaitan dengan wisata tentunya tidak pernah bisa lepas dengan wisatawan. Dalam mewujudkan konsep yang diangkat, yaitu Envi-Human Connection, maka apa pun tema perancangan dari Perencanaan dan Perancangan Gamat Bay Glamping di Nusa Penida, Klungkung, yaitu Ecological Architecture dengan pendekatan lingkungan dan origami.

Abstract

One of the tourist facilities that can be developed in Canggu is SPA. The SPA industry is currently developing towards the achievement of physical, mind and soul health. The type of SPA chosen is Club SPA, because it offers SPA service facilities equipped with fitness facilities in order to get maximum results in physical and mental care, because nowadays people and tourists need a facility that can accommodate activities related to beauty, health, fitness, and relaxation to reduce the level of stress and depression, maintain, and improve physical and psychological appearance. The purpose of this research is to produce a Club SPA design concept with a biophilic architecture approach to produce a room that is able to improve physical and psychological health and create a positive relationship between humans and nature. The method used is by conducting literature studies, precedent studies, field observations, and surveys. The result of the research is the implementation of biophilic architecture that is applied to zoning, entrance, mass building, indoor space, outdoor space, and building facade. The implementation of biophilic architecture in the Club SPA design is expected to help the relaxation process by applying natural elements into the design.

Abstract

The field of architecture has experienced spectacular developments over the years. The reason is that in the Industrial 4.0 era, various breakthroughs and disruptions to the world of architecture have resulted in rapid developments that enable the design process to create more unique and more complex designs. AI (Artificial Intelligence) technology which is currently developing in various scientific fields has the potential for future architectural developments. One of the popular AI developments is the ability to convert images into text which provides potential in the architectural iteration process or what is better known as the phase of looking for reference ideas in the schematic stage. The process of converting certain text or keywords into images can actually help architects to find patterns and shapes that suit preferences, speeding up the design process and producing efficient designs. In addition, AI can predict design performance in various scenarios. It is an attempt to use artificial intelligence to explore early architectural design concepts. The data analysis method used in this research was to observe the effect of using keywords in creating prompts or commands for AI on Midjourney and then comparing them with the results of other images. After the comparative study, it will be measured to what extent the use of AI is implemented in certain situations or conditions in the Architectural Iteration phase that occurs. Based on the results of image analysis, the prompt arrangement is also a control variable used to create specific drawings in creating architectural concept iterations consisting of "Object Type, Material Type, Architectural Style, Architect Name, Style Render, View, Environment/Background and Type of Lighting" With the results of the prompt translation, it can be concluded that the more specific the order of the prompts used as keywords, the more specific the resulting image will be, in this case we can exercise control over the image that we want to generate.

Abstract

This approach has been widely adopted in many countries around the world and has been the subject of much research and discussion. One of the key understandings around Adaptive reuse is the balance between managing the historical and cultural significance of a building and making it functional and fit for its new use. This can involve changes to the building's physical structure or design, which may be necessary to accommodate new uses, but which also have the potential to compromise its historical integrity. There is also often a tension between the desire to own a building and the need to make it financially viable, as the costs of adapting existing structures to new uses can be significant. Another issue that has been debated in the context of Adaptive reuse of buildings is the role of government and the private sector in spending on and supporting such projects. Some argue that the public sector should play a more active role in promoting and supporting Adaptive reuse, especially for projects involving important historic buildings. Others argue that the private sector should take the lead, with government support in the form of regulations and financial incentives. This research is entitled "Study and Strategy for Implementing Adaptive reuse in Heritage Area Buildings at Jalan Gajah Mada Denpasar, Bali". This study will discuss the various strategies used in changing the function of buildings by considering the concepts and principles of Adaptive reuse. This aims to provide guidelines for implementing and planning development in the Gajah Mada heritage area. The results obtained are that one of the case studies in Gajah Mada obtained an ARP result of 67.3% which is classified as moderate with high potential for Adaptive reuse and the existence of 6 intervention approaches namely Umbrella, New Interior, New Face, Parasite, Bridge and Transition. Such can be a strategy in building planning in the Gajah Mada Heritage Area.
