Abstract

This study aims to determine the mistakes in the Indonesian language in the field of syntax in the Kedaulatan Rakyat newspaper. The date source of this research is the family rubric in the Kedaulatan Rakyat newspaper, February 16, 2020 edition. In this study, the methods and data collection techniques use the note note method. The references used in this study are the Big Indonesian Dictionary online (KBBI), the Indonesian Spelling General Guidelines Acronym (PUEBI) and the opinions of experts conveyed through research relevant to this research. From the results of the analysis there were 9 syntactic language errors in the Kedaulatan Rakyat newspaper rubric of this family. Including 6 redundant words, 2 inappropriate word choice, and 1 anaphora (inaccurate cross-references).  Keywords: Error, Language, Field, Syntactic, Newspaper

Abstract

The use of a short storytelling style requires the author's expertise to play on the use of specific languages and certain styles. Likewise with danarto, in the short story "Tiger Hungry" it is assumed to have an interesting style in the use of sentence and discourse style so it needs to be explored further. The purpose of this study is to describe the sentence style and discourse style contained in the short story "Macan Lapar" by Danarto. This research uses descriptive method with a statistical approach. The theory used is the concept of style by Ali Imron Al Ma'rif. The results of this study indicate that the use of sentence styles and dominant discourses shows Danarto's characteristics in conveying the contents of the story with an emphasis on the setting of the story with the intention of explaining how charismatic a Princess Solo is so as to be able to attract foreign youth. In addition, Danarto's love for Javanese culture was very thick so that regional color became an ornament in this short story.

Abstract

The interest in learning foreign students about Indonesian is high. This can be seen at least from the number of foreign students studying at the Ahmad Dahlan University Darmasiswa Program (UAD), especially in the 2016/2017 academic year (TA). This fact is certainly interesting to study more considering that Indonesian Language for Foreign Speakers (BIPA) is a rapidly developing scientific field. The purpose of this study is to describe the literacy of BIPA UAD Darmasiswa Program containing Indonesian language and culture. The method of collecting data in this study is the observation method with the technique of reading and recording. Data is taken from photos and descriptions of lecture activities in the classroom and outside the UAD Darmasiswa Program class. The results of this study indicate that BIPA student literacy The UAD Darmasiswa Program with Indonesian language and culture is carried out inside and outside the classroom. Activities in the classroom include lectures on Indonesian language skills and culture, while activities outside the classroom include mankakrida activities at Borobudur Temple, Imogiri Tomb, Chocolate Monggo Factory, Batik Mekar, and others. With these activities, the BIPA Darmasiswa UAD students became more aware of Indonesian language and cultural knowledge and skills.

Abstract

ABSTRAK: Pembelajaran kurikulum 2013 berorientasi pada ketercapaian kemampuan penguasaan kompetensi dan berpikir aras tinggi. Kemampuan berpikir kritis, logis, reflektif, metakognitif dan kreatif merupakan suatu keterampilan berpikir aras tinggi atau Higher Order Thinking Skills. Asesmen Standarisasi Pendidikan Daerah (ASPD) merupakan salah satu asesmen yang digunakan untuk menilai ketercapaian kompetensi. ASPD dilakukan sebagai asesmen kelulusan pada peserta didik kelas 9 Sekolah Menengah Pertama. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan analisis konten. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan kualitas butir soal HOTS soal ASPD mata pelajaran bahasa Indonesia Tahun 2021 di Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta.  Teori yang digunakan merupakan teori tingkat kognitif Anderson dan Krathwohl. Anderson dan Krathwohl membagi level kognitif menjadi 6 kategori. level C1 dan C2 merupakan level kognitif rendah atau LOTS, C3 merupakan level kognitif berpikir sedang atau MOTS, dan C4, C5, C6 merupakan level kognitif tinggi atau HOTS. Hasil penelitian dari 40 soal ASPD di Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta dapat disimpulkan (1) terdapat 9 butir soal LOTS, 8 butir soal MOTS, dan 23 butir soal HOTS; (2) soal HOTS yang berjumlah 23 butir terdiri atas 15 butir soal C4, 7 butir soal C5, dan 1 butir soal C6; dan (3) persentase soal HOTS dalam soal ASPD perlu ditingkatkan sebab ASPD harus mampu mengukur dan memberikan gambaran secara akurat kemampuan serta ketercapain kompetensi peserta didik.KATA KUNCI: Asesmen Standardisasi Pendidikan Daerah (ASPD); Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS); Penilaian. HIGH ORDER THINKING SKILLS IN STANDARDIZATION ASSESSMENT OF REGIONAL EDUCATION IN INDONESIAN LEASSONS ABSTRACT: Curriculum 2013 learning is oriented to the achievement of the ability to master competence and high-level thinking. Critical, logical, reflective, metacognitive and creative thinking skills are Higher Order Thinking Skills. Assessment of Regional Education Standards (ASPD) is one of the assessments used to assess competency achievement. ASPD is carried out as a graduation assessment for grade 9 junior high school students. This study uses a qualitative research method with a content analysis approach. The purpose of this research is to describe the quality of HOTS question items about ASPD for the Indonesian language subject in 2021 in the Special Region of Yogyakarta. The theory used is Anderson's and Krathwohl's cognitive level theory. Anderson and Krathwohl divide the cognitive level into 6 categories. C1 and C2 levels are low cognitive levels or LOTS, C3 are moderate cognitive thinking levels or MOTS, and C4, C5, C6 are high cognitive levels or HOTS. The results of the research from 40 ASPD questions in the Special Region of Yogyakarta can be concluded (1) there are 9 LOTS items, 8 MOTS items, and 23 HOTS items; (2) 23 HOTS questions consisting of 15 C4 items, 7 C5 items, and 1 C6 item; and (3) the percentage of HOTS questions in ASPD questions needs to be increased because ASPD must be able to measure and provide an accurate description of students' abilities and competence achievements.KATA KUNCI: Regional Education Standards Assessment (ASPD); Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS); Assessment.

Abstract

Folklore is about moral values, cultural values, psychological values, and advice in living a life. In the legend of Yogyakarta Special Region Province and containing moral values, there are also ethics in treating the universe. It is proven by the folklore of Yogyakarta Special Region Province there are concepts of environmental ethics in it. Such as respect for nature, responsibility to heart, cosmic solidarity, compassion and care for the character, no harm and simple living, and harmony with nature. The physical background in Yogyakarta Special Region Province's folklore also uses many physical locations in the form of environment, such as forests, rivers, hills, villages, fields. Literary ecology has a part in this because literary ecology is a science that discusses the reciprocal relationship between literature and nature, or vice versa. Keywords: Folklore, Literary Ecology, Environmental Ethics, Physical Background (Environment)

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the quality of practice questions of Asessemen Standarisasi Penilaian Daerah (ASPD) Indonesian language junior high school in Bantul Regency, Yogyakarta in terms of the cognitive level of Barret's taxonomy. This research employed qualitative research.  The data source of this research was the question document of Package A, which was adopted from MGMP Indonesian language junior high school in Bantul Regency. The theory used to analyze these questions was the theory of Barret's Taxonomy. The results of the analysis stated that there were 14 questions with literal comprehension taxonomy, 6 items included in reorganization comprehension, 6 implied comprehension, 1 question included in the evaluation comprehension category and 1 question included in evaluation comprehension. This research is expected to contribute to providing references to teachers, especially Indonesian language teachers in Bantul to develop questions, practice reading comprehension questions for students to improve the DIY ASPD program which will later lead to PISA with the hope of increasing the PISA scores and rankings of Indonesian students.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan menjelaskan nilai humanisme dalam cerita rakyat Kiai Jegot Provinsi Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan content analysis. Objek penelitian adalah Antologi Cerita Rakyat Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta terbitan Pusat Bahasa Departemen Pendidikan Nasional yang ditulis oleh Dhanu Priyo Prabowo. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan pembahasan yang dilakukan pada cerita rakyat Provinsi Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta dapat disimpulkan cerita rakyat Kiai Jegot, memuat nilai-nilai humanisme. Nilai humanisme yang termuat yaitu nilai kebebasan, nilai kerja sama, nilai rela berkorban, nilai peduli, nilai tolong menolong (gotong-royong), dan nilai solidaritas. Nilai-nilai tersebut tergambarkan melalui lakuan tokoh dalam cerita. Dalam cerita rakyat Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta tokoh selaku pemeran dalam cerita memiliki sikap-sikap humanisme yang meninggikan derajat dan martabat manusia.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the poem Kepada Hawa by Aan Mansyur through a stylistic approach to uncover the meaning and aesthetic quality of the language used by the poet. This research employs a descriptive qualitative method with data collection techniques including reading, note-taking, and identification. The analysis reveals that Aan Mansyur consistently utilizes stylistic elements such as diction, sound patterns (rhyme), syntactic manipulation, and figurative language (simile, metaphor, and hyperbole). Specific rhyme patterns help create mood and tone, while syntactic structure and stylistic choices enhance the emotional expression of the poem. Symbolic imagery such as “red apple” and “faithful snake” enrich the portrayal of love, sacrifice, and sincerity conveyed by the poet. This study demonstrates that a stylistic approach is effective in uncovering implicit meanings and highlighting the aesthetic beauty in modern poetry. In addition, this study can be a learning resource for student in school in exploring the elements in poetry.

Abstract

Urgensi literasi membaca di Indonesia, terutama dalam ranah pendidikan formal jenjang SMP menjadi alasan mendasar untuk menyelenggarakan kegiatan pengabdian sebagai upaya memberikan solusi konkret dalam mengatasi rendahnya minat baca. Melalui budaya literasi membaca, dapat menjadi sarana untuk menguatkan karakter bangsa dengan mempelajari cerita rakyat yang mengandung nilai-nilai moral berdasarkan kearifan lokal. Hal tersebut, diwujudkan dengan kegiatan pengabdian berupa sosialisasi literasi membaca melalui cerita rakyat di SMP Kota Yogykarta yang diselenggarakan dengan tujuan untuk dapat memberikan wawasan dan pengetahuan tentang cerita rakyat sebagai penanaman nilai kearifan lokal, khususnya di daerah Yogyakarta sekaligus menjadi langkah baik agar dapat membangkitkan motivasi dan minat baca siswa. Sosialisasi literasi membaca melalui cerita rakyat dilakukan secara langsung bertatap muka dengan peserta yang terlibat. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian ini dilakukan dengan observasi, wawancara, dan kuisioner. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya pemerolehan wawasan dan pengetahuan baru oleh para peserta, dari hasil perbandingan pengetahuan sebelum dan sesudah sosialiasi dilakukan. Proses rangkaian kegiatan sosialisasi literasi membaca melalui cerita rakyat, dapat menunjukkan adanya antusiasme dan ketertarikan oleh para peserta untuk dapat lebih mengetahui dan memahami isi serta nilai-nilai yang terkandung di berbagai cerita rakyat, khususnya daerah Yogyakarta.
